1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Where to sell my business... for Crypto? on: March 05, 2018, 07:14:36 PM
Hey! I have a profitable, easy to run business in the most gorgeous place on earth (see below). Very unfortunately, I am quite willing to sell for crypto... what, where, how, why? I need pointers.

Thanks in advance.

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / What's happening when there is a massive buyin? on: July 04, 2017, 06:12:21 PM

Why do these massive buyins occur? I cannot tell how they could be pump and dump schemes, unless the buyer expects the coin to actually go higher than the buy-in position? I don't get it.

(Sorry for the weird parens in the image... screwed it up, to lazy to fix...)

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What is the ideal coin? on: June 09, 2017, 04:03:30 AM
If you as a (miner || investor || developer || armchair analyst) were going to describe the perfect coin, what would it be?

Also, tell why... like in agile story telling, use a format like, "As a developer, I like to use the (ethereum|bitshares|omni|burst) blockchain because..." or "As an investor I like the ____ wallet because..."

Give as many why's as you can think of.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 12 GPU rig... but how??? on: June 02, 2017, 05:46:02 PM
In this discussion: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1541084.msg19319534#msg19319534

There is an example and a tiny bit of talk about a rig that controls 12 GPUs

The idea is that the builder uses PCIe Switches for 9 of the cards and the other three are on board:

Using common MSI Z270-A Pro + Celeron G3900 + 4GB RAM +3 x PCI-E Switches (9 GPU's connected to switch and 3 GPU direct to motherboard). Power Subsystem - two HP common slot PSU 1200W + 160W Pico PSU (for motherboard and switches)
Sorry for bad photo and my English)

Does anyone have experience making the CPU / bios / whatever to detect 12... or maybe 18 GPU's?

TIA!
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why does every new tech require an ICO? Is it just the funding? on: April 30, 2017, 11:22:21 PM
It seems that there is about 1 new ICO (mainly ERC20's on Ethereum) every week. How is it possible that each of these tech's needs its own coin and blockchain? Why don't they just develop on Ethereum?

Is it solely to get the venture capital?
6  Economy / Exchanges / Trading API's - Tell me your experiences on: April 12, 2017, 10:50:01 PM
I am wondering which trading platforms that have API's I should develop for.

  • Which API's offer trading {volume / minute} or {volume / second} metrics? If not, how accurate are the 24hr volume values (do they update accurately every second?)
  • What are typical transaction fees for the various APIs? Sell order fee, Buy order fee, Transaction Fee, Monthly fee, etc.
  • Which Trading sites with API's offer the widest alt coin coverage?
  • How fast are the actual transactions? Once I execute a transaction on a pair, how fast does it happen on average?

Any other insights? Thanks in advance!
