4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / QUIONEX wallets type on: November 05, 2017, 07:00:28 AM
Hi
I have a question
I have account at QUIONEX account. Its works weird. Like they do transactions only at working hours.
So i assume its regular wallet like i have on my computer.
There are several airdrops that will assign tokens based on ETH snapshot at certain day, but they say exchange account would not work.
If i have ETH on QUIONEX account and is regular wallet...whatever that means will airdropers be able to sort out that this account belongs to QUIONEX? or i can just go tho ED put my account address and grab my tokens?
What do you think.
What is the difference between reqular wallets like QUIONEX has and wallets that Bitfinex has ?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Site that tracks Airdrops. Do you know something like that? on: October 11, 2017, 09:28:24 AM
Another great idea.
Site that tracks airdrops.
You can add new airdrop.
For ETH tokens.
It can apply google form for you if you register and provide info like ETH wallet, profile link and username.
It can check token balances on ETH blockchain.
And killer feature- it will send you notification as soon as exchange that trades your token becomes available on https://coinmarketcap.com/
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / EXPR token on: October 09, 2017, 08:16:30 AM
Just found our about airdrop for EXPR token.
Cant find anything on bitcoin talk.
Anybody knows something about it?
they have a blog on expr io and some twitter.
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / My Own Private Portfolio on: October 03, 2017, 04:25:50 PM
Im going to publish here my portfolio. And put some explanation for my actions.
Its interesting to see how stupid...or genius it will look a year from now.

Here we go
1 BTC - cause its real deal. I think its kind of most useful coin and its ETF for all other stuff
2 ETH - same as BTC. No clue but need to have it.
3 LTC - some times it has his moments in lending. Plus if transactoin cost 0.01 of currency, its better be cheep currency
4 ZEC - im always for anonymity
5 CLAM - very good lending on Poloniex
6 Stratis - investing in casinos looks nice
7 DeepOnion - im in airdrop so what the hell

Planing to buy
NEO - cause its chinese thingy, i think they will form they own market at some time
DASH - Cause diversify
8  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Wallet as trojan on: September 28, 2017, 07:47:19 PM
I wonder if there is a history of infecting user computers with wallet applications?
I mean its a lot of wallets and, like, you always install uninstall them.
Sure i have antivirus but its a lot of very complex code deployed around.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Lending Altcoins on: September 23, 2017, 04:50:48 PM
Hi
Im lending on bitfinex. Good stuff.
I've looked into Lending on Poloniex. I was wondering if there are better rates to gain there.
But surprisingly it shows no demands for lending for anything except for bitcoin. And LTC offerings are way lower than on bitfinex.
I went to bitmex and i could not find lending dashboard at all.
Whats the deal? I think its awesome idea to lend coins, why its so strangely organized?
Thanks

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / BottleOfScotchCoin (BSBC) proposal on: September 17, 2017, 04:39:11 PM
Why there is no BottleOfScotchCoin?
Considering the price of bottle of scotch that should be awesome coin. You can order you bottle from distillery by purchasing ScotchCoin. This will provide funds to actually make the bottle. So the distillery can cut some expenses on bank interests. And estimate demand. And all information about the actual making , weather at the time of sawing , family name of track driver who brought it to distillery and what not will be in the blockchain. As time goes it will cost more, because ... its a bottle of scotch. And you can resell this bottle and get profit from it. Or you can cash it out as actual bottle. So ....its like buying shares of scotch production. You can order blend if you want. When you drink it , leave a comment and it will be written into blockchain too.
12  Bitcoin / Project Development / Why wallets are so 1999? on: September 16, 2017, 07:19:31 PM
Ive being cruising around Altcoin threads.
I really liked some ideas, so ove downloaded couple wallets.ZEIT, EMBER, DEEPONION
All of them turned out to be same application.
It looks like it was developed back in 99 on MFC 4.2.
Why is that. BOOST libarary has pretty good http server. If you must use C++ to talk to chain, its ok, but its possible to implement REST interface, and provide local web client that will be limited to work with localhost only.
Most of the sites of coins look really nice. So they must have pretty good front end developers.
The wallet UI is not something very difficult in terms of controls.
You can even ship it as docker which will be relief for all PoS serious people who need to run wallets 24/7. Upgrades will be better.
That will make app to depend less on OS GUI.
From product management perspective WEB client is much more effective than C++ code. Much more flexible, and manageable.
What do you think?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How is that PoS is not ponzi scheme on: September 16, 2017, 11:04:17 AM
Ive looked up some PoS tokens like EMB and B3.
How is that not Ponzi scheme?
You have to buy in to stake. And i mean to see some returns you better be good on 2K USD. 10K better actually.
After that you have very unstable P2P network that takes ages to spin up. What this nonsense with node list? Why its not propagated automatically?
After that you get some reward for couple of weeks.
And than reward rate drops.
After that you have some messages about "fixing withdrawal".So its not so easy to get off.
So like.  Buy some tokens , get some reward and get out if you lucky enough to do so before network brakes down again.

Why syncing of wallet is so complicated? Its P2P - did you guys saw eMule back in the days? It was syncing gigabytes of data no problem, and my mom could operate it. With automatic propagation of nodes lists. Looks strangely suspiciously overcomplicated to me.

And the idea that oldest users with most amount of money are getting all the stakes...kind of ...look exactly like pyramid.
Im not trying to attack PoS but with PoW you have some separation between money holders and miners. Your rig will earn some money if hardware is up to date reasonably. In PoS is more like give me your money and sit quite.

14  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / How to get sensible data from many local wallets on: September 16, 2017, 09:41:02 AM
Hi
Im developing my fintech bot
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2163273.new#new

So when it comes to exchanges and online wallets its fairly simple. I add access keys to vault, and i query data whenever i want.
Now ive being to altcoins threads lately and it ended up with several wallets installed on my computer with some coins that are stored in my local wallets only.
I wont to add information about coins stored in my local wallets to my bit reports.
Lets say i have my wallets addresses.
And i need to have amount ant type of coins i have on these addresses.
What will be the best way to implement such feature?
15  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Hosting of cyrpto services on: September 15, 2017, 10:37:16 AM
Hi
I dont know if its a question for this forum.
But anyhow.
I'm wondering where do all these exchanges and wallets and mining pools are hosted.
Is it good old AWS/Azure cloud providers? Or something chinese? Is there any limitation on geographic location of actual servers? I know Russia has some laws requirement service provider to host services in Russia.
16  Economy / Speculation / What will be the bottom of current drop in bitcoin price? on: September 15, 2017, 10:31:44 AM
Hi all
Bitcoin and Etherium are going down for several days.
I dont think its the end game. I think its  oportnunity to buy in.
Obviously i want to buy cheapest.
I hear different numbers. 3500 (passed) 2500. 1K.
What do you think will be the bottom of current drop and what can stop it? Like if hong kong says f**k it , you can open concurrency here free of taxes and what not.
17  Economy / Exchanges / Where to see your gain from lending on Bitfinex on: September 13, 2017, 07:27:55 PM
Sorry for newb question
I'm lending crytocurrency on Bitfinex.
I cannot find dashboard to see summary of gain from lending. Like history of incoming transactions for rates. I can see that i have more coins in my wallet but i cannot trace what exactly happened.
Where should i look?
Thanks

Thanks
19  Bitcoin / Project Development / Claptrap fintech bot on: September 09, 2017, 11:14:31 AM
Cryptocurrency world is diverse and hard to grasp. But pays up nicely. There are tons of sites, exchanges, sources of information that had to be monitored. I have full time job that wont allow me to spend more than 1 hour a day to manage my crypto assets. Telegram bot can be very useful to combine and present information in secure manner. And writing software is a good way to learn ecosystem.

I've started development of my own fintech bot as a way to understand cryptoworld better.

This is github repo for my project.

Any comments are welcome
