1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How To Increase Your Followers and Upvotes Faster on Steemit on: August 31, 2017, 02:01:17 PM

I became a fan of steemit few months back and it is quite an awesome platform to earn some steem. Since I started on steemit, I have seen the top guys earn as much as $500 and that isn't an exaggeration as I am sure other steemit guys can attest to that.

For some who have no idea what steem is. It is an altcoin which gives you the chance to earn some dollars in steem by posting on the steemit platform (Imagine posting on facebook and earning from likes). Presently on coinmarketcap, a steem is about $1.47 and if you don't have a steem account yet, you can register here now http://www.steemit.com and join the steemers society.

Like I said, all these works when you post and gets upvote from other steemit users. However, it is not that simple! Getting an upvote is not an easy thing most especially when you don't have followers as most times when you post, it gets pushed down so fast in the general feed before it could even get an upvote chance by other steemit users. Once you have followers, they can easily see your posts when they view their feed and hence that gives you a chance for an upvote if you have a quality post. However too, getting followers ain't that simple as well  Grin !!! sorry for bursting your bubbles.  Tongue but there is good news.

I recently bumped into this web platform where steemit users (if you wish) can come together as a community and help themselves. This platform is connected directly to the steemit platform and you can read posts, upvote and reply posts straight up here. It works in a way that, for every post you upvote, your recent post is entitled to get at least 3 upvotes from other users on this platform and for every follow, your account is entitled to get at least 1.5 followers. It sounds so easy right, well that was the reason I decided to share it.

I cannot really give you all the full gists here, so you can check it all out by yourself. The platform is https://steemfollower.com and I hope this would help someone. If you have any question, you can drop in the comment section and if I am chanced I will reply ASAP.

You can also follow me as well on steemit - https://steemit.com/@tosmartak (As Thank you!  Grin )

Cheers as we all make good use of our crypto world to gain future financial freedom.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Cash! Dead on Arrival? on: July 30, 2017, 10:57:00 AM
It seems from the look of things, all exchanges are not ready to support Bitcoin Cash in any way.

Most of the exchanges I makes use of for now, except bittrex has sent me an email stating they will not in anyway be supporting bitcoin cash and have asked users who wish to make use of bitcoin cash to please withdraw their cash before the fork day.

So my question is, does this mean bitcoin cash is dead on arrival? Does this spell doom for the forked currency already? From your point of view, do you think there may be a chance in the future for bitcoin cash?

Even if it survives the few first days after the fork, will you be converting your BCC to BTC immediately or will you leave it hoping the value will eventually be worth the keep?
3  Economy / Digital goods / My Amazon Balance for Bitcoins on: July 19, 2017, 05:27:07 PM
Here is my last option on what to do as I have exhausted every other option I have.
Almost a year back, I did a little job for someone online and I got paid with an amazon gift card worth 73euros.

Unfortunately for me, I loaded the gift card into my account and since I have never purchased anything directly from amazon before, I had no single idea they do not ship to my country. It pained me then though cause I could have used localbitcoins or paxful to exchange the gift card directly with Bitcoins.

I have tried to research online probably to see a way I can make use of this but to no avail. Worst of it all is that it was generated on http://amazon.fr which I found out I cannot use in other popular country domain as .US and .UK.

I have been on bitcointalk for a while now but it never occurred to me that I may get an answer here or a service that can assist me in getting Bitcoins in exchange for the balance. Really hoping to get some answers or solutions. Thanks.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin getting huge in South Korea on: May 26, 2017, 11:14:20 AM
The price of btc in South Korea is over $1000 the global average. It has been stated that the price per BTC in the region has reached upwards of $3500-3800 across the country’s top three exchanges and a lot of traders are finding significant arbitrage opportunities due to this trend in S/Korea. Also, these 3 popular trading platforms are processing roughly $200 million USD worth of Korean Won-KRW/BTC trades daily, and from all indications, the central bank’s and government’s friendly attitude in bitcoin community in South Korea is thriving greatly.

Apparently with this development, this country is one to watch with respect to bitcoin. What do you think about this explosion in the bitcoin world in South Korea and its global impact?

5  Economy / Economics / Can Bitcoin be effectively used to curb corruption? on: May 17, 2017, 01:07:44 PM
I came across an article online that is quite interesting and it goes thus;
Quote
"Bitcoin brings a lot of hope to the table. The digital currency, which was launched with an aim to destabilize crony capitalism, certainly sounds revolutionary. And it has indeed shown how a money can survive only on public consensus, without needing government and central banks. It is now being used for plethora of purposes: to buy essay, goods, products online, as well as a mean to simplify cross border remittance.

The real beauty of Bitcoin, however, is its underlying public ledger system known as blockchain. The trustless system automatically executes, confirms and stores transactions on a public database; it leaves no scope for a middlemen or government or any financial authority to take participation in the ongoing transaction, ensuring that the system remain authority-free, hence decentralized.

Bringing the power of blockchain technology to government offices sounds like a far-fetched fantasy, but the open source nature of Bitcoin could make it possible. Imagine deploying public funds entering into such an open system, where money could be allocated to other government subsidiaries, and be used for many public welfare initiatives.

With every transaction going into a public directory, watchdogs can easily trail money to check on its conclusive spending. Private and public sector banks, as well as income tax authorities, could utilize blockchain to create private chains. These chains could then be attached to the main ledger as its branches. It will save money in terms of data handling as well.

If every single government office house enrolls into such a system, there would be no corruption. But again, all policymakers need today is intention."

What do you think? Do you think something like this can actually work effectively if implemented? What are your views or other ideas?
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Hoarding or Spending, Which Is More Important in the Cryptocurrecy Ecosystem? on: May 16, 2017, 07:17:40 AM
We all know the Bitcoin world consists of two broad camps: those who hoard and those who spend it. Depending on whom the question is thrown to, hoarders are either a problem or the solution.
Someone recently posted a tweet about how “hoarders are more important than spenders.” A very interesting comment that caused a bit of a huge outrage among Bitcoiners on Reddit.
From your own point of view, who is more important?
7  Economy / Speculation / Do you think bitcoin price will crash again in 2017? on: May 12, 2017, 08:11:44 AM
Following the trends over the years, I have noticed bitcoin steadily rising (though with minimal fluctuations here and there). Recently, the price dropped sharply but since then, it is like it got angry, thereby increasing hugely each day.
Now to my question. I am actually thinking of purchasing some btc but still hoping there is possibility of the price dropping again so at least I can obtain more ( Grin pardon my greed). So, do you think there is still a possibility of it dropping in a huge manner in 2017?
Hopefully I am looling forward to getting something tangible from finance experts.

Grin Welcome! Ready? let's start!! Please note that you can always share your jokes too. Let's have some fun!

John was dying.

His wife sat at the bedside.

He looked up and said weakly, "I have something I must confess."
"There's no need to," his wife replied.

"No," he insisted, "I want to die in peace. I slept with your sister, your best friend, her best friend, and your mother!"

"I know, I know," she replied. "Now just rest and let the poison work" Grin Grin Grin

11  Other / Off-topic / Introverts World (Extroverts Pls Keep Off !!) on: April 20, 2017, 04:22:23 PM
An introvert is referred to as a person predominantly concerned with their own thoughts and feelings rather than with external things; a person who tends to turn inward mentally. It originates from Latin intro- , "inward," and vertere , "turning." Introverts sometimes avoid large groups of people, feeling more energized by time alone.

Are you an introvert? If yes, this is definitely the place to be.
Share your challenges as an introvert and if you are happy being one. Use this avenue to share your daily experiences as an introvert, occurrences that happened related to your kind of person and what you would love to change if given a chance.

Welcome to Bitcointalk Introverts World Forum - Our own little diary session.

Last warning: Extroverts please keep off!
