1  Economy / Goods / 16GB Unlocked Nexus 4 For Parts - Auction starts at $40 - Touch Digitizer is BAD on: May 24, 2014, 09:56:01 PM
Hi, I'm selling my old Nexus 4. It's broken. I'm sure most people here know what it takes to fix it.

The phone motherboard, cameras, speakers & antennaes have been tested. I fitted all of it inside another working Nexus 4 to test it. It reads SIM cards and places/recieves calls just fine.

Two things are bad with it:

1. The digitizer is unresponsive.
2. The built-in bottom microphone module outputs noise. (Does not work)

I'm auctioning it off starting at $40 with priority shipping between $6 and $12.

The phone can be bid on or bought at eBay, here. International buyers welcome.

3  Economy / Auctions / Auction - coinimg.com on: March 10, 2014, 03:14:01 PM
I bought it a while ago planning to make it into a website hosting various bitcoin tickers, but plans have changed.

Wondering if anyone is interested in this domain.

So, auction starts at $14 in BTC.
4  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS] Automated Bitcoin/Litecoin/Dogecoin Dropbox wallet stealer on: March 09, 2014, 07:32:02 PM
Not really. I just posted this to see how many people here are secretly looking for terrible black hat software, in comparison to a control thread. Shame on you if you clicked this! Let's see how many views this will have...

Disclaimer: I have not programmed any such software so I consequently do not have anything for sale.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / **Breaking news** Satoshi Nakamotos identity NOT revealed on: March 07, 2014, 12:51:20 AM
Really, His identity was not revealed. Poor guy doesn't want to have anything to do and is probably at risk right now because of those dumb articles.

Such threads make me want to rip my hair out.

6  Economy / Scam Accusations / http://mybitcoinjob.com/ Very suspicious site, May be password stealing on: January 18, 2014, 05:25:51 PM
A certain respectable forum member around here pointed me to that site to investigate if it was real or not. I registered, and after registering I realize that the whole site is basically static files with the only actual server sided code being the login form and registration form. All that the site contains is a "refer other users for free BTC" form.

It raises large suspicion for being a scam, in the form of a password stealer that may be used to try and compromise web wallets and, especially, since they ask for your BTC address, Potentially even blockchain.info wallets.

http://mybitcoinjob.com/

Anyone know anything about this?
7  Other / Meta / I'm not sure if my thread should be in Off Topic or Project Development.. on: January 13, 2014, 02:37:12 AM
It's this thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=412947.msg4475732

It's about a project i'm working on. It's not necessarily bitcoin related, but it could be used to aid mining, so I'm not sure. Someone suggested I move it there but I'm not sure if I should.

I just don't want to move the thread to Project Development if it's deemed irrelevant and just moved back.

I'd ask a mod but this forums' so big I dont think they have any time for petty problems. Smiley So I make this thread instead.

Cheers.

10  Economy / Service Discussion / Are Blockchain.info Passwords Compromized if you get an email? on: September 25, 2013, 07:38:19 PM
Recently, I have recieved the following email from blockchain.info.

Does this mean that someone tried to login, but they got the WRONG password?

Or does that mean that someone tried to login and they got the RIGHT PASSWORD and then were denied by BlockChain.info because of suspicious activity?
I know that google does this. Quite often when I login to my Gmail from a tor exit node, as well as inputs.io. But does Blockchain.info do this?

It's a DEAD IMPORTANT detail that Blockchain.info doesn't make clear! Is my password compromised or not?!
11  Economy / Service Discussion / BitSpend CEO Justin Whelchel just gave us an update on: September 23, 2013, 07:28:43 PM
As we all know, BitSpend was a company we all loved. A company that would take our bitcoins, and in return, order products of our choosing from any website and have it delivered to us. Allowing us to purchase our products online with ease and convenience.  As they operated, they did this job incredibly well. I speak from first-hand experience, As I myself have ordered over a grand of products using BitSpend.

2 months ago, BitSpend employees suddenly reported that their primary bank account and the funds within have been seized. Shortly thereafter they updated us to only tell us that their personal accounts, too, have been seized. Reason why is currently unknown. Quite possibly, for "Unauthorized Money Transmission".

Ever since, we have been left in nearly complete silence. Nobody has reported recieving any orders from BitSpend anymore, and nobody has reported receiving refunds anymore. Nobody has heard a word from BitSpend, in any way shape or form.

Recently, The following has been posted on BitSpend's subreddit, including a quote from Private Messages exchanged between the OP and BitSpend owner, Justin Welchel.

Quote
""Hey Justin, If you don't share some information with us in the coming days, I will assume you have planned this as a scam all along. Whats the deal? Are you starting to process refunds or not?"
then he said
"Yes. Losing my house, my job,m my income, and almost my wife and kids all so I can now live in a shitty apartment trying to find a way to feed my kids, THATS a genius scam! I have not posted ANYTHING because I dont know when I will have it all. I have made financial plans with my wife to begin sending people back their money starting in November, but until I know for sure when that will be I wont begin giving dates.Look, I spen t 18 hours a day working on Bitspend, I gave up my job, my savings, everything... now I have nothing... so if you want to start throwing out a "scam" threat, it will be pointles"
another message
"I guess you have no other option then. I will in turn be left with no option but to begin proceedings for Bitspend to enter bankruptcy. I had hoped to avoid this and to be able to earn enough money personally to do the right thing and pay you guys back, even though as a company all I have to do is file bankruptcy... I wanted to get you guys refunds so I personally took TWO FREAKING JOBS so I can EARN MONEY TO PAY YOU BACK as I felt is was something good people do. If you feel you need to sue Bitspend, I cannot stop you. I will now be ceasing to use this account, as I feel that now that you have told me you are bringing legal action against my company, I will no longer have any direct contact with you."

What do we make of this?

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [POLL] What do you think is the cause of Primecoin's crash in value? on: September 19, 2013, 11:35:09 PM
Hello,

I find these things very interesting so I can not help but create a poll as my previous poll has had an acceptable success.

Perhaps it may help shed some light as to why this is happening, or may otherwise yield at least somewhat interesting results. Smiley

The poll will run for only 7 days, so that the data collected will represent only the present time, and so that it will not get messed up in the future if opinions change.

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [POLL] Opinions about the Primecoin GPU Miner on: September 18, 2013, 06:58:56 PM
Hello,

As many of you know, A while ago, mtmlr started working on a Primecoin GPU Miner, and he received a lot of money in donations from people, where when they donate they receive early beta access to the miner.

The beta-access period is now over, and the miner source is released, but the miner doesn't seem to work quite yet.

Some people are very mad about this, Others are not. I don't have any feelings of my own on it, because I didn't donate anyways.

So I've been wondering. What is are your feelings on this situation? Take the poll so that we can see what are the collective feelings of this forum are. Smiley

Note: Please not hating on Mtmlr or anyone else here. Hate posts will be deleted. Create your own thread if you are mad.

1x Windows Server 2008 R2 Web

16  Economy / Services / VmWare-Based VPSs for rent, $35/mo 2xCPU, 2GB RAM, 80GB HDD, 1 IP, Windows/Linux on: September 01, 2013, 12:35:57 AM
Hello.

I am renting some unused space on my personally-owned rack-server. The rack-server is located in an air-conditioned, battery-backed-up, and professionally controlled data center in Washington, USA. I am renting this unused space as two VPS'es, as I have two remaining unused IP addresses.

These are not OpenVZ VM's. These are VMWare VM's with full access to CPU, RAM, and HDD resources, as well as kernel control. You may also run Windows.

Specs and prices. (TWO SLOTS AVAILABLE)

VPS SLOT 0: Intel Xeon 2.5 GHZ X 2, 2GB, 20GB HD, 1 IP, 100GB Bandwidth, Windows/Linux/Mac OS (If you know how) Can Be Installed - $40/
VPS SLOT 1: Intel Xeon 2.5 GHZ X 2, 2GB, 80GB HD, 1 IP, 100GB Bandwidth, Windows/Linux/Mac OS (If you know how) Can Be Installed - $45/

Since we already pay the server hosting costs just for the sake of the other VPS'es, I have my pricing significantly below market prices.

OS's I can Install and (optionally) configure basics for you:
Ubuntu Server
Debian
CentOS
Windows XP/7 (Not Server) (You must provide A license)
Windows Server 2000/2003/2008/2008R2/2012 (You must provide A license)

Setup Time: Probably 24 hours or less. You will not be charged for the setup time. Your 31-day period starts the moment you are given access to your VPS.

My Plan: After receiving a payment, I will install your OS of choice, and after completion you will be given access to the VPS, Once you are given access the VPS is yours for exactly 31 days. After which you either pay again for it to remain yours, or I delete all data immediately and put it up for rent again.

Escrowy: If desired, The BTC payment to me may be held in escrow (John. K) for the 31 days, and after your service expired may it be released to me.

Terms of use: Nothing illegal, or grey hat. If I find out you are doing something illegal, you will be subject to immediate termination of service. Also, try not to mine PrimeCoin. But if you have to. It's fine.

This is not a commercial business. I am just personally renting space on my server.

If you have any comments or suggestions.. feel free to leave them.

Otherwise, if interested in renting one of my VPS'es, leave a message here also for public record.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What happened to mtrlt? Did he just scam us of 75 BTC? on: August 21, 2013, 08:10:55 PM
As some of you may know, mtrlt stepped up to make a GPU miner for PrimeCoin by creating a thread announcing that he will work on a GPU miner, in which he put a "Donation address" "that will also get you early private beta access to the miner". [1][4]

It has now been one month and three days since he created the thread [1], he has 75 of our BTC[2], and his last update of any sort was given out on August 14, 2013, 07:10:25 PM, Six days, and 20 hours ago. [3]

We still have no GPU Miner.[1] We might have been BFL'd. [No citation needed]

Since he was accepting "Donations", it means that he technically CAN legally run away with the BTC, AND the GPU miner and we would have absolutely nothing to prosecute him in court with. Although I am doubtful he will do this. It is possible that he is mining with his GPU miner for a long while, stashing large amounts of coins to then dump, and THEN maybe release the GPU miner. It is also possible that he had a heart attack and died mysteriously. Or maybe there never existed a GPU miner to begin with?

I place no opinion on this subject. Just being objective here. I am just making this information clearly available and understandable to the public.

You decide on how you feel about this situation.

~Re
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / WARNING suspicious behavior with mtrlt on: August 14, 2013, 07:28:15 PM
Hey guys.

I posted in mtrlt's new thread some facts about how long he has been working on the GPU miner, the money he has received, and what wage he would be earning at, all in a neutral wikipedia-esque "post the information and don't put your opinion" manner, yet it has all been deleted, including the mention of deletion. Now the thread is closed.

For your curiosity's sake, This is the post:

Quote
Fun Fact!

You have been working on this GPU miner for 3 weeks now. Provided you are working full time, which is considered to be, in the USA, 8 hours daily, you have been working with a wage of 51.1 USD/Hour, earning a current total of 75 BTC/8,588 USD. (Current Mt.Gox rate) https://blockchain.info/address/1FKfgFQeZCpjGDn7ocgj26nk4K2TNiVJyD

Daaaaamn.

I respect Mr. mtrlt, and I do not want to point fingers. But something is up when someone who has received nearly $10000 from donations in less than a month is deleting posts that reveal to the masses the information in a simple understandable manner.

Be careful guys. Legit guys can be legit for a long time, but once they got enough power even the best people can turn evil. I legitimately hope this is not the case, but if it is everyone must be informed.

20  Economy / Goods / [SOLD] iPhone 4 32GB GSM Unlocked Worldwide Ready SHSH Blobs Included Jailbroken on: August 13, 2013, 07:00:59 PM
Hello, I have recently decided that I want to sell my iPhone 4, to get an android instead. I am looking to sell it for   + Shipping to you from the US ZIP code 33314.

Escrow Policy:
I will only begin the process of resetting the phone, and packaging it once an escrow (John. K.) informs me that they have received a BTC payment for the phone. YES. That means we do have to use an escrow.

After payment, I will do another quick demonstration on video of the phone functionality at the post office, and then package it in the post office, and show the destination address on the video, and then show the post office employee taking the package from my hands, and this video will be given to the escrow for solid proof of delivery. I am very serious about providing an honest trade without being liable on my side.

I have also taken a video demonstration of the phone's functionality and condition. Please watch in HD. Click below to view.

It is an iPhone 4, 32GB Model, Factory Unlocked GSM model. Suitable for international use or use on any US SIM-CARD based carrier. Good IMEI.

CONDITION: It is MINT. Noticeable scratches on the front and back, but the phone operates fully. I use it on a regular basis.

WHAT YOU GET: Only what is pictured is included. This means that the charging cable will NOT be included. The iPhone will be restored in iTunes and will NOT have any of the jailbreak tweaks seen in the photos or videos installed. Instead it will run pure stock iOS 6.1.3. OPTIONALLY I can reset it to a jailbroken iOS 6.1 at no additional price.

I also have it's SHSH blobs for iOS 6.1. This means that after a restore in iTunes to iOS 6.1.3 you can still downgrade to a jailbroken iOS 6.1 at any time. These are only useful to technical users. Link to SHSH blobs for this iPhone.

Cheers
