1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / MSI Afterburner help with dag fix. on: September 03, 2017, 04:56:35 PM
I tried a few way to get the dag fix file to work. I been on 16.9.2 for a long time and using afterburner beta 16 I am not having no success in getting my old hash speeds back. Anyone have a updated guide with some good instructions on how to make it work? Thank you
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Safe to say my card is dead and might require me to try to rma?? on: July 09, 2017, 04:01:53 PM
So for the last 2 days I been trying to fix my gpu issue. So my gpu thru claymore game me a gpu error. So I tried multiple time to reset the computer and I still get errors thru claymore along with bsod giving me tdr errors. So I decided it to try it on another rig this time as the primary card ( same model card rx470 4gb) same drivers and all but this time it doesn't show up in my device manager, note the gpu is running off of Windows generic driver. So I removed it and placed back my other 6 gpus on that rig and they all showed up in the device manager and are mining fine. Today having doubts that their still be hope I tried it again on its original rig this time I just used a available pcie slot and not use it as primary video card and it did show up in the device manager. Shortly after that short moment of joy the system crashed when running claymore. Now having a hard time to even reset my rig with the card on the rig, I went ahead to remove it and it started up and started mining on the rest of the cards without the suspect gpu Installed in the system. After 3 months of mining could it be that it's dead and I should try to send it back at this point. I tried to flip the switch on the bios on the gpu and it still gives me the same issues.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Dead Rx 470 how can I determine the issue?? on: July 07, 2017, 08:30:28 PM
Hi I am stuck not knowing how to narrow down my issue. I been running my rig for a few months with no issues and today I had a gpu fail on me. I went ahead and found the problem gpu and removed it from the rig and got it running smooth again without it. So I went ahead and add it back to the rig and after a few minutes it failed again. After trying a new riser I still have the same issue. What can I do next to see what's going on with this gpu? This is a modded xfx rx470. Once I put it in I can get it to mine for a few minutes before failing. Also note that using stock clock speeds and mem causes it to crash. Is rma a option being a few months old?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Afterburner dropping fan causing claymore to give me temperature error. GTX 1060 on: June 16, 2017, 11:03:44 PM
So I been at it for 3 days now. I have a tb250 mobo and 5 gtx 1060 3gb cards I am working with. After setting them up and using msi afterburner using settings 65% power limit, 200 core speed, 750-800 memory and fan setting at auto and fixed at 75%. I cannot get more than 15 minutes of mining as afterburner becomes very unstable(laggy) as soon as profile is set. Letting it continue to mine in its laggy state it eventually drops a gpu temperature and fan reading to 0% and then slowly effects all other cards and it finally comes do a code 999 error on claymore stating cannot get current temperature (a internal driver error occured) .. So I used ddu and reloaded the latest drivers and reinstalled msi afterburner and are back at the same place with the same errors. I need guidance here. As I can not narrow down the issue. I have a suspicion that it might be afterburner causing it. Where do I start to diagnose.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Best way to tune multi gpus when msi afterburner is what works for 1 gpu? on: May 12, 2017, 03:36:24 PM
So this is my 2nd rig and been had great success with watt tool on my first rig. Now the issue I am having on my new rig is that I have a powercolor rx470 and able to tune it in afterburner cause it allows me to go over 2000 mem clock speed for me to get the 28+ mhs it gives me. Not the issue is that Im having a hard time tuning each individual card. Is their a way to label them? Whats the best way for me to tune my cards? Im having a hard time telling 1 from the other. My thought is to sell this gpu and get all matching gpus. Any suggestions on how I should approach this situation?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Biostar Tb85 question. on: May 08, 2017, 12:36:22 AM
I put together my rig and started with 1 gpu and no issue thus far. Now for me to get power to my other 3 gpus on my mobo do I need to use the 2 molex plugs on the mobo? They read "auxpwr1" and "auxpwr2".. Now sure if I need to plug them to my psh to get my other gpus working. Thanks
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Random overnight speed drop down to 5mhs on 1 gpu. on: April 27, 2017, 03:23:44 PM
Hi my first post on this forum and would like to say hello and probably bring a issue that I am sure someone heard or delt with before. I am running a 6 gpu rig ( xfx rx470) on a msi z170a pro carbon mobo on a windows 10 os with 4gb of ram and 120gb ssd. So yesterday with a friends help i was able to get 29mhs on all my gpus with hynix memory and they were running smoothly until i noticed this morning that one of my gpus dropped to 5mhs this morning. I shut down the system and unplugged it and restarted the rig with out it and thrn shut it down and plugged it back in thinking it will reset itself and it did no affect. Anyone have any suggestion on what I can try to get my gpu back up and running at its speeds. Thanks
