1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / MATIC. What other L2s compete? on: December 05, 2021, 04:03:50 PM
Matic has currently been on a tear as of late and during the Bitcoin dump it improved its BTC ratio. It seems to have broken 6 month accumulation range with massive strength.

News events as of late:

Polygon & Coinbase agreement (rumoured but not confirmed yet). https://tradersofcrypto.com/news/polygon-matic-boosted-by-coinbase-nft-rumors/

Polygon & Draftkings agreement. https://www.draftkings.com/about/news/2021/10/polygon-and-draftkings-enter-into-a-strategic-blockchain-agreement/

Polygon Miden. Ethereum Rollup. https://blog.polygon.technology/polygon-announces-polygon-miden-a-stark-based-ethereum-compatible-rollup/

Polygon zk day. https://polygonzk.ethglobal.com/

Only question is will it hodl now, and if so what PA do you expect, and do you expect any other L2s to compete heavily? Ie Optimism, Arbitrum, SyscoinPersonally, I suspect it will hodl the line at 3800 sats region, and will look to make previous resistance support. From there, it is anybodys guess but I would believe $10 is on the table.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Copycats good for the industry? on: December 05, 2021, 09:36:19 AM
As the title states, I was pondering whether the nature of open-source software is the way to go. It appears to me coins copy each other all the time. Example BNB copies ETH with BSC. And now BNB copies ETH with BEP-95 update.

Conversely, you see that Uniswap has a closed V.3 atm. I know this is controversial and I support decentralization through and through.

But given that your own protocol could be at stake if you give up critical information, is it best to therefore share the information and keep it open source? Or close the information (for a small period, not forever), so that one can keep a competitive advantage? Food for thought. Discuss.
3  Economy / Economics / Will this be the opportunity crypto was always looking for? on: March 28, 2018, 04:37:59 PM
I recently came across an article that talks about how the NBA will begin accepting micropayments for 4th quarters of games. This is phenomenal because it gives the incoming generation exactly what they want. The ability to buy something cheap, on their phones, quick, and everything else the incoming generation loves (me too). My question here is will cryptocurrencies follow shortly there after with micropayments, or will we have to wait say 5 more years for that?

p.s. I wasn't sure if was best to post here, politics and society, or other. mods please redirect to the correct spot, sorry for inconveniences Smiley

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Proxy Card on: September 12, 2017, 07:10:22 AM
I wanted to see what you guys thought about this upcoming token called ProxyCard. What ProxyCard does is it allows you to transact in a secure way and is a secondary tool to

authorize transactions. This is completed through an NFC card with private keys. Do note ProxyCard wont store your private keys at all neither. As well phone authorization is

required at the same time. Not only do they provide user accounts but also merchant ones too. I think this project has potential to alter the way transactions are done on a daily

basis.

notable features

-secondary authorization
-no store of private keys
-in app message mechanism
-merchant accounts with smart contracts
-merchants listed in online mall
-integration of payment platform

What say you? If you are interested in learning more you can find about ProxyCard @ http://www.proxycard.io
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / SALT-$6 **Small amount available** on: September 11, 2017, 08:35:35 PM
Hello fellow BCT members,

So I have a small amount of SALT tokens I would like to sell. I will be selling at a VERY reasonable price of $6 as the last tier of SALT tokens ended at $12.50. This is over 50% off!

I will be selling no more than 5k tokens, but also no less than 1k to any individual trader. I do have a reputable escrow setup where the funds and tokens will stay locked until

they are 100% moveable. Contact me if you are interested in such a deal. Serious contacts/offers only please, thanks!
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / free readcoin drop on: September 03, 2017, 04:16:29 AM
so for this one apparently you just sign up. is this legit? they cant do anything malcious by getting an ethereum address can they? this is the tin-foil hat talking but can they send

in coins that are malcious and somehow take my others coins or wipe them out? Kind of like a virus? I dont know why I am so paranoid right now. Just never seen this before.

Thanks in advance for the help fellas, cheers!
