4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Anonymous Cryptocurrency - DASH, deeponion, ZCash and Monero on: December 26, 2017, 10:20:17 AM
With the growth of the crypto-currency, there has been increased control by the government and regulatory acts.

For some users who do not like being subject to monitoring the market began to develop solutions with DASH, deeponion, ZCash and Monero.

Currently, the best option for confidentiality and anonymity along with the price estimation is probably deeponion.

Overview - Table of Contents
DASH
deeponion
Monero
ZCash
PIVX

DASH is the biggest of the "private" coins. Many people love the sense of security of anonymity with the Private Transfer feature.

Private Send - PrivateSend is an newer version of CoinJoin, which includes functions such as decentralization .

This decentralized coin blending feature, built in the DASH protocol, provides the possibility of currency interchangeability.

Nevertheless, in October 2016, the DASH MASTERS joined the Coinfirm for the issuance of anti-money laundering and Know Your Customer support in the DASH block.

Thus, many DASH users do not know much about this change and will be surprised to learn that their transactions and identifiers are connected so thoroughly.

DeepOnion

DeepOnion is known for having some really important functions that another crypto-coin does not have and makes the Coin really special.
One of them is DeepVault, what is DeepVault?

DeepOnion currently has a DeepVault function. DeepVault uses cryptographic hashing to print the hash value of the document directly into the DeepOnion block chain. The DeepOnion block chain is unchanged, which means that verification of the validation of the loaded document remains on the chain forever; in unmodified form. Then everyone can scan any document, which must be a document, through the purse DeepOnion together with the identifier of the purse of the original hash. DeepVault will interact with the block chain to confirm that the hash value of the checked document ideally matches the hash value of the originally loaded document. If any minor changes are made to the document, the person scanning it will be notified that the document has been changed. Today it is used in the real world, and no one is using them in this way. Contracts, photos, music, videos can be checked for accuracy through DeepVault today.

what is deepsend?

when I send you onions via the TOR network (like we are doing currently) our IP addresses are anonymous, but everyone can still see the payments you received and sent to others which they can trace because they have a transaction code with them (TX line)... With DeepSend this will be gone so everyone can see that you received lets say 100 onions, but they can not see who sent it so it is not traceable

Nobody can trace your payments unless you will give your main address or post it on media channels. That's TOR part. The next part, DeepSend is still under development. Lets say you sent Onions to your friend, and people who want to see how you did it, will be unavailable to see, since your payment will go trough few other people wallet.

Monero
Significant confidentiality is provided by ring confidential transactions at the protocol level.

In combination with the hidden addresses for the sender and the recipient and significant confidentiality is achieved.

A big problem is the blocksize that results from the increase in transaction volumes.

Another interesting feature will be the Kovri router, which will hide the origin of transactions in I2P.

Zcash
To ensure the anonymity of users, zero knowledge proofs is used.

zero knowledge proofs allows you to verify and maintain the confidentiality of data. Here, all transactions, the sender and the recipient addresses are encrypted.

Of course, blockchain analysts can correlate information through public transactions on the block chain, and users at the start of transactions need to fake their IP-addresses.

Finally, the protocol does not hide public data that may be associated with personal identifiers.

PIVX
The ecosystem has a very interesting combination of management. Like DASH, he has masternodes, but he also implements the proof of the bet.

Optimized PIVX placement
When you make a bet, the bigger the address balance, the more it will be earned.

For example, an address with approximately 15,000 PIVX will earn about 50% more PIVX than an address with approximately 1000 PIVX.

Masteredos can earn more, but there are many troubles that establish and manage them.

You can estimate profit using Cryptonode.

The purse must be opened and unlocked when connected to the Internet; so be careful with security.

Addresses must have at least 100 confirmations.

Crazy Pro Tip - after the address receives 100 confirmations, restart the wallet and open it. Then there must be an active rate for this balance.

My choice for an up-and-comer is: DeepOnion. I guess most you have heard of it, I have coverd it here on Steemit as my background story into the coin. But that article didn't quite go into the reason of why I like DeepOnion and the technology behind it. I talked more about the Airdrop and how I nurtured my investment so I wanted to do it properly in this article peicing together what I have covered in other forums.

Why do I like DeepOnion?!

Despite it being a small cap, since the community is really active in spreading the word, most of you will already have heard about this coin. It has been received both good and bad reviews but some say "any publicity is good publicity". That seems to be fairly true in the Hollywood arena and seems to apply to the crypto space as well. But why does DeepOnion stand out among these giants?! The first reason is the funny and catchy name. Admit it that it is easy to remember and hard to forget. And for the more privacy inclined can probably not miss the Onion reference to TOR sites. Yes, DeepOnion is a crypto currency that by integrating into the TOR network ensures anonymous and secure transactions.

It seems like very simple reasons why this is my pick for THE privacy coin to watch among the small caps. But in the crypto world these are very good reasons. There are a lot of crypto currencies with similar applications, markets and use cases. What one needs to stand out, except for a solid technological background, is:
A memorable name
A supportive community
Something that makes you unique
I think DeepOnion has something to fullfill all three criteria. Not only is DeepOnion a privacy coin but it also has other features: 10% PoS staking and DeepVault - file verification on the blockchain. Their anonymous feature DeepSend - anonymous transactions through Guarantors and Mixers , is in the works already.
Being a small cap at only $18M just think of th gains it could achieve if it starts batteling with the likes of Monero and Dash, that would be 500x.from current position. If you feel like me that this is an interesting coin feel free to take a look at DeepOnion HomePage or visit DeepOnion Community.
