501  Economy / Economics / Re: Mistakes That Make You Poor Poor In Cryptocurrency on: January 04, 2020, 06:06:56 PM
All this have called for real carefulness at all points, a lot of people have actually suddenly became poor when they lose their password
you cant be instant poor once you loss you password because you can still recover but if not then you still have other sources of money  . poor means you lost all your money and stuffs in your house or you dont have any source of income anymore  . but would you carelessly  put large amount of fund on your crypto wallet when you know that most of those are your wealth?  i guess no one would do that   .

Greed is also a factor. Most of us who just store coin for long exposes them to dangers.
before we start holding we already know the dangers  so why would you still hold long  ? that is what you call greed indeed   . thats why i dont prefer to hodl for too long  .
Holding too long is important as holding makes your investment rise in price and those who hold are not greedy but they are actually wise because they know selling for panic can give nothing but only lose and it's kind of responsibility to know that an investors should hold how long. I think the more an investor hold he earns more from his investments.

I hold shitcoins too last year, thinking it will really hit the $10 as promised by the team, I was impressed with their platforms, that they do have different platforms launching, so I trusted them as I can really see that they do have a lot of platforms, but, they just launch and launch their platform but really no real use case, they just hype and now the CEO is happy with the money that he got after dumping the price to 10 sats. That's the biggest lesson so far for me.
You already know that it is a shitcoin and you still hold it anyway? Are you crazy investor? Of course it is expected that we can have huge losses if we will hold a shitcoin. I do not have any shitcoin in my wallet. How do identify a coin that can be a shitcoin? It is simply by just classifying if it is a liquid altcoin or an illiquid altcoin. An illiquid altcoins are shitcoins and it needed to be ignore in the market.
502  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin could be 6000$ soon give us your opinion on: January 04, 2020, 05:22:54 PM
There is possibility that the price of the bitcoin of the bitcoin can drop down into $6000 per each if the bearish trend will continue to dominate the cryptocurrency market. I have cut loss strategy that I keep applying and it is below the support level where I can minimize the losses that I can experience. If the price breakdowns in its current support level, I will automatically let go my positions.
503  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 3 strategies for crypto portfolio management on: January 04, 2020, 02:05:24 AM
Diverse portfolio can be use to minimize lost from our activity and mosty I use 2 - 3 coins in balanced amount. Sideways market is the right moment for diverse but the time is relative depend market movement. First time use it is just like no affect into our portfolio, that's normal because the aim is to cover not for make profit. This articles has value for newbie like me and thank you, I hope more articles for ours.
We cannot just put all of our funds in just one basket because it is very risky decision. Putting all of our funds in just one investment can give us high profit but it can also give us high losses so that is why diversification is  good. Pyramiding is one of the diversification strategy that we can use. What do I mean by that? Pyramiding fo example is you will put the 40% of your fund in bitcoin then the 30% is in ethereum and the other 20% is any other coin. That is pyramiding and it is effective strategy in terms of diversification.
504  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2020 Bitcoin halving!!! Bull run??? on: January 03, 2020, 02:10:14 PM
That is pure fundamental and sentiment analysis. Many opinions in the cryptocurrency market that keep saying that the bitcoin can have a strong upward move after the halving. It is just their prediction and we should not fully rely on it. Yes the feature will be improved but we are still do not know if there will be an effect to the supply and the demand of the bitcoin in the market.
505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be realistic for the world to run on cryptocurrencies? on: January 03, 2020, 11:34:23 AM
For me it is not realistic to see that the people are only using cryptocurrencies as mode of payment. Of course I am sure that the bankers will not let it happen. There will be also financial crisis if the world will not use fiat money anymore. The balance will be broken, I think that the mass adoption will occur but there is balance between fiat money and cryptocurrencies.
506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your altcoins and tokens TODAY, save yourself the frustration on: January 03, 2020, 09:47:33 AM
You know how this is going to end. You might be trying to lie to yourself, you might be secretly hoping that some token in your "portfolio" that you have 10 million of is going to moon to $50 and make you rich, but let's be real: that is not going to happen. Even the allegedly strong altcoins like LTC or ETH or whatever is cool these days (I've been out of this game for a while) are not doing well and BTC dominance is growing. Which makes sense if you think about it. BTC can do most of what any altcoin can do and the few really useful features that BTC is missing (private transactions for example) are implemented by multiple altcoins, fragmenting their market share.

And the elephant in the room: 99% of altcoins are total garbage. They're called shitcoins for a reason.

Sell your altcoins and tokens. Take the proceeds in BTC, stick it into a cold wallet, keep some online to play around with Lightning and other things that actually matter for real-life stuff, like being able to buy something. When was the last time you were able to use for example Ethereum for something tangible, not to buy some garbage tokens or to play a game?

Do it today. Your grandkids will thank you.
I admit that most of the altcoins are not worthy of any investment or something but I do think there are still good altcoins just like Ethereum, BNB, LTC and more. I think altcoins are not doing good is just because we are still in bear trend even Bitcoin is affected just like what you have mentioned. I think you should still consider to place an investment in some altcoins like in Top-ranked coins since they have the capabilities of giving a high return just like what Bitcoin can give.
I have passive portfolio where I hold the profitable coins in the cryptocurrency market, I hold it because of the data that I got from my analysis. I do not hold illiquid altcoins because it is so risky. I only hold highly liquid cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and ethereum because these kinds of coins have high market demand and value.
507  Economy / Economics / Re: Where should we focus this year? on: January 03, 2020, 04:32:21 AM
I think we should focus on accumulating potential coins, there are many potential coins that have been crashed and for me there are opportunities that we can get from it. Yes it is risky but the potential rewards is really great for me. If we want to earn huge amount of profit then we should be used to take high risks investment and decisions.
508  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to start trading with 2 BTC? What is the first step? on: January 03, 2020, 03:27:18 AM
So i have decided i will start trading with 2BTC first. I have read many people suggesting me to day trade and earn some good profit daily.
Let me tell you all, i have no experience in trading and it sound so difficult to me so please answer my questions
so how can i start and where can i start?
where to learn the basics? some good books?
how much profit can i expect daily in the beginning?
How to avoid major loss?
is there any professional traders that allow to follow their trades and they charge some fees for it?
Waiting for your answers  Wink

trading is not about "profit & lost", trading is management skill, you must manage your emotion, your mind to calculate any action.
before you start with 2BTC, i recomended you to start with 0.2BTC or maybe just 0.02BTC save the last for next step, if you can survive with small amount, you can survive with big amount.

you can use trading analityc for daily trade and control emotion when you must buy and sell, and don't forget to set endpoint from each trade action, like cut lost and cut profit.
Having big capital is required to have high financial intelligence and also trading passion. Even if you have high capital, you still cannot invest all of it because it is very risky. Invest in knowledge first before you trade, you are still a beginner trader and you keep asking the basic question. The probability of losing is very high due to your low financial intelligence. You still not understand the whole market and it should be your focus now.
509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin scams and new Bitcoin users on: January 02, 2020, 12:11:35 PM
That is really the greatest risk today. Its overwhelming and proud to think of how much bitcoin had been this far. However, there are people who take advantage of it. There's no really perfect in this world. But those imperfections are sometimes done by opportunists who are always planning to destroy good things and take it to there advantage. Hopefully the security and risks management teams of crypto will look solutions to these cases.

Well, they could be considered toxic to the cryptocurrency space. I do believe that we are already been widely accepted even with the government if in the first place those people respected cryptocurrency. They've just made the crypto's reputation bad at all. Now, believe it or not but sometimes when I ask someone if they know bitcoin, they sometimes told me about it is a scam currency which in fact not at all. This 2020, I am really aiming at promoting good and positive feed back atleast to have positive impressions of people to bitcoin by telling them how to properly utilize it.
reputation is important here, if crypto is good then I'm sure people will use it. but if the bad reputation of people will be hard to believe, and especially for crypto regulation by the government there must be studies that support to get regulation from a country
The reputation of the bitcoin and cryptocurrency in my country is bad, it is all because of the scammers who tarnished the image of the cryptocurrency market. They are always thought that bitcoin is bad and it can use in illegal activities, they are not aware on its important function of bitcoin in our economy. I respected the other opinions because it is the wrong knowledge that they gained from wrong information. We should not just hear the half side of the story, what I mean is we should really understand the cryptocurrency market in order to know what it is and how does it work.
510  Economy / Economics / Re: Where's my free money? on: January 02, 2020, 08:15:26 AM
I was promised like 250k by McAfee in BTC value.

When's the price gonna skyrocket like the last 8 times? Tell me plz time travelers.

Lol. Did McAfee call you and made a deal with you? Just like many of the members here promoting all kinds of projects and sites, John McAfee is also just promoting projects that pay right. John McAfee have shilled for many altcoin projects in the past. I don't think he would do that without any amount involved. Did you buy one of the coins that he tweeted? Don't jump into it. His words cannot cause hype anymore.
I agree,  well we cant blame you since you are a newbie and its obvious that you are lack of knowledge about crypto and you easily believe on other people.  Maybe it is better for you to study more or read articles about how it works.  Not what other people is always right.  And also no one can control the amount of a cryptocurrency.
It his own fault why he lose money in the cryptocurrency market. Newbies should focus on improving their knowledge first. They should not fall into the promises like the prediction of McAfee. Of course newbies can easily become a victim of this kind of shit because of their lack of knowledge. But still they can protect their fund if they know what they are doing.
511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If You Bought Bitcoin Each Week in 2019, You’d Be up 49% on: January 02, 2020, 07:14:07 AM
Buying Bitcoin weekly? That was a tough idea and knowing that in the 3rd quarter last year w we soar high but sadly it drops at the start of the 4th quarter.
And you'll buy that time, you still be losing until now. But the good thing if you bought bitcoins last January, that was really profiting and imagine how far is the price today, it is double already.
I'm a trader and not an investor so for me buying bitcoin every week is not a good idea. I have trading setups that I keep following so I will just buy if my bias happen. We cannot just buy bitcoin every week without proper charting and technical analysis. Before we buy a bitcoin, we should know how to read it charts for us to know the right time to enter and exit in the market.
512  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much can bitcoin cost in Future. on: January 02, 2020, 05:23:23 AM
Recently I read an interview with the CEO of the cryptocurrency exchange Bitmex, which predicts a very good and stable growth in Bitcoin in price and the whole reason is that it is precisely because of the existing inflation that there will be very good and stable demand for the first cryptocurrency market.  Of course, the price of Bitcoin will rise, but reaching a psychological maximum of $ 20,000 will be very difficult and almost impossible in the near future.  Nevertheless, a significant increase in the value of Bitcoin will affect the entire cryptocurrency market and the pricing of other cryptocurrencies.
I agree with what you say if bitcoin takes a very long time to get back to $ 20k, I estimate it might happen in 2021-2022. I would not expect much in 2020, in my opinion the price of bitcoin can reach $ 10k - $ 15k is already very good. if that can happen it will stimulate price increases in the following years.
Some prediction said that the bitcoin cycle like what happened in 2017 will then occur again in 2021 if this is true nothing is impossible to reach at 20k, bitcoin can easily surpass it going to 50k, what will trigger this massive price increase? of course demands based from good news, adoptions we wait for it to happen , this year is I think accumulation period.
I do not care about the prediction of the others because all of it doesn't have accurate data. The price of the bitcoin in the future depends on how we see it today. As time passing by the users are keep increasing and the demand also is rising. There will be a positive effect to the price in the near future if the mass adoption will continue. This year the price of bitcoin is still having a hard time but if there will be a bullish reversal pattern then we know what will happen next.
513  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: it's so hard trading my day now! on: January 01, 2020, 10:51:13 AM
It is a reality that day trading is not for everone, you cannot force yourself to do day trading but your skills are only suitable for passive trader. I'm a day trader and a scalper trader, I'm more good with it than to hold long period of time. I became scalper because my skills are suitable to it where I using 5 minutes chart and I can easily make profit within an hour. But not all of times I win, there are times that I also lose.
514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this really a good plan? on: January 01, 2020, 08:06:52 AM
I do not participate in bounty campaigns nowadays because for me it is just a waste of effort and time. It is now hard to find a legit ones that can become valuable in the market. Investors are also losing trust in ICOs and IEOs and they are now afraid to make investment because of the risks. Bounty campaigns nowadays are most likely scam so be careful for those who still want to participate.
515  Economy / Economics / Re: Halving is approacing: HOLD YOUR BITCOINS AND NEVER SELL THEM on: January 01, 2020, 06:43:24 AM
yes you are right op for the time being we really should not sell bitcoin. we have to hold on to it until bitcoin is reduced by half and the price is pumping. and usually this long-term investment strategy is carried out by people who don't have much time to focus on cryptocurrency. but for people who have a lot of time and rely on crypto as the main income. then I think short-term investment or daily trading will be more profitable.
Too much hope is not good, I also have hope but it is not too much, I expect that the halving will have an effect to the price of bitcoin but the thing is I do not prefer holding at bear market. At bear market the price is continue to go down, I converted my btc to usd and I will pick at the bottom where there is a confirmation of market reversal.
516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold on to patience even when it feels like wearing off on: January 01, 2020, 05:39:15 AM
yeah, not only altcoin. but bitcoin is also very disappointing for holders. but this is not for a moment. bitcoin and altcoin run side by side. so there will be a time when it will go up after this time in dump. when you get bored with holding. one can trade to increase the stock of their coins. and returned to coin held. so when the pump occurs. we have benefited from before while holding it.
Some altcoins are not worth it to hold, I really regretted the time that I chose to hold my altcoins than to sell it. Now the altcoins that I have in my wallet are the altcoins that have negative ROI. We should know when is the right time to hold and the right time to let go in order for us to not miss another opportunity to earn money. Only few altcoins that are worth it to hold so we should pick carefully.
517  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I Buy Bitcoin Now? on: December 31, 2019, 09:23:34 AM
Opinions can be source of information but the problem is following someone's opinions are very risky decision. I do not say that you should now buy bitcoins, there are many types of trader and investors. Identify if you are a scalper trader or a swing trader. The buying techniques are really depends on the strategy that you use and most of the strategies are subjective so the perfect time to buy bitcoin really depends on a person.
518  Economy / Economics / Re: Which currency will dominate the crypto market? Please vote! on: December 31, 2019, 06:57:19 AM
If you ask me, there is nothing to vote for. Bitcoin will keep the dominance and currently there isn't any other coin on the horizon that could take its place.
This situation will not change any time soon so Bitcoin remains the best and most profitable coin to invest. So far I don't see any signs in the market that would make me change my mind.
Bitcoin will still conquer the cryptocurrency market no matter what will happen. There is no other cryptocurrency who can dominate the whole cryptocurrency market. People will keep patronizing the bitcoin because of its unique characteristics and features. The cryptocurrency community also want to prefer to make investment with bitcoins than in altcoins.
519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has gone up the past week. on: December 31, 2019, 05:46:50 AM
It has gone up around $800, do you think they could run it up and then I would come down before January 1 before the new year. Or they will not come in to play?  I’m waiting for some money to clear to buy some. And I don’t know right now is the best time to buy
actually it's a very general statement, that we don't know when the right time to buy it. in this case, you need to make a decision, are you sure the price will go up high or not. I think that after the price actually goes up, then the price will be difficult to go down, so think about it. bitcoin prices are currently holding at $ 7k, and there is a possibility that crypto prices will recover in January. besides, if prices start to recover slowly, I think prices will rise quickly after halving occurs. so, the price of $ 7k is still quite cheap.
The right time to buy is subjective, it depends on what type of trader are you. I'm a momentum trader and I will only buy bitcoin when its price surpass its resistance so it is simply a breakout. There is a positive effect if the price breakout to its current resistance where it simply means that the buyers overwhelmed the sellers. There is also a role reversal where its previous resistance will be a support and remember that in supports buyers are in control.
520  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to double capital in 2 months? on: December 31, 2019, 04:43:58 AM
I have good diversification where I divided my capital in 3 major parts. I allocate 33% in every coin so I do not all in my capital. For me it is hard to double my capital due to my diversification. I do not also experienced to try it, the fastest time that I managed to double my capital is around 4 months. There are types of trader who always doing all in their capital that can make them double their capital in just short period of time but there are high risks.
