You should be able to select the res that you need on the right hand side of the stream. I was on a 4G phone streaming in 720P and it was fine. I tested from 240P up to 720P all was good. again your connection speed might have not been that great and It can be a problem but please keep in mind that u can select a different res I have multi bit rate running just for any users that might be on the go.
