1  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Facebook our most potent weapon, UK political parties say on: May 19, 2017, 12:54:45 PM
It can now be said that Facebook remains to be the best way to reach people online. As long as millions are using Facebook then it is a very powerful tool. Social media sites -- not just limited on Facebook -- can now be utilized to advance one's political leanings and it is quite effective and very cost-efficient at that. TV is still a very good medium but it is very costly. Newspapers are losing their market for years now. Since Facebook is now on our phone, its immense power lies really on our hands.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 21 millions people to become millionaires are being created in public on: May 19, 2017, 02:08:42 AM
Tom, I expect more from an insurance salesman like you. We all know that owing 21 bitcoins doesn't make anyone a millionaire. At today $1300, one would need 760.23076923 bitcoins. The fact that people keep thinking about it terms of being a "millionaire" is a clever way to make people feel good about their 20 or less bitcoins. If you all want to become millionaires get out there and earn you money, and then buy bitcoin with it!

And I agree. In order to take advantage of the Bitcoin growth we need money -- fiat money at that -- to buy more Bitcoin. However, I do appreciate the fact that this seems to be just another day-dreaming which can be a free form of entertainment anyway resulting into more savings haha.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank in Norway now supports Bitcoin on: May 16, 2017, 08:15:30 AM
Little by little Bitcoin is now being recognized as a tool by many banks. As the users of Bitcoin will rise, am sure that many other entities in the banking sector would take a look at Bitcoin and how they can be able to partnered with the cryptocurrency so as to facilitate better transactions and get more income as well. Banking is all about money...when they sense they can get income from something and it is legal then they will go for it.
4  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your opinion on recreational drug use on: May 15, 2017, 03:46:44 AM
I don't give a shit what others put into their bodies as long they're not harming people. The most dangerous thing about drug use is how staggeringly boring they make you. I've no interest in being around druggists any more.

And that is where actually the problem is since many crimes are omitted under the influence of drugs. I am also in favor of not constricting anyone with whatever they want to do with their lives...if they want to commit suicide then that is fine with me as long as they don't harm others in the process.

But the BIG QUESTION: Are we not really harming/hurting (physical and emotional aspects) the people around us when we are not anymore normal and we are already harming ourselves in the process? Do you think our loved ones would be happy seeing us wasted? Be honest.
5  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why are rich countries rich and poor countries poor? on: May 15, 2017, 03:36:39 AM
Some of these poor afican countries like Sudan for instance have massive wealth in mineral assets like gold, diamonds, oil, timber ect but the western countries always stiff them on the deals and thats only if the leaders of these countries haven't stolen everything for themselfs and fled the country to live in luxury exile somewhere else.

The big reason here is actually because their own governments are very corrupt and their political climate is not stable so no new investments can be coming in. Plus these people need more education but since the government is in disarray no one can be helping them. No country will exploit another country if the latter will not allow it. Peace and order must be first be restored on these places before any meaningful change can be achieved.
6  Economy / Marketplace / Re: how earn btc from online??? on: May 15, 2017, 03:29:52 AM
As for me, I would just continue on posting here...sharing things I already know and learning things I should know...and in the process I can get my rank higher which can open more opportunities for me in this great forum. I can easily participate with signature campaigns and also social media campaigns then earn some coins.

I think that faucets can be a waste of time except maybe if you can sponsor a great number of people and by then you can also earn from the efforts of others. When you have some bitcoins you can start investing in altcoins which has some potential for big growth.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC NEWS on: May 14, 2017, 05:05:41 PM
Please hold on to your coins as ETC is headed for more growth. Always look for the long-term not unless you want to trade everyday which i assumed you are not. There can be a next round of growth for all coins so just watch out for that.
8  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is gonna die soon! on: May 14, 2017, 04:36:38 PM
Bitcoin can die and yet it can also resurrect itself in a matter of just seconds...and I am adding my post here of the many who predicted of the demise of Bitcoin and witnessed how Bitcoin is able to make a comeback anytime. Without Bitcoin, there would be no altcoins and I think we should remember that. Bitcoin opened up the way for all to follow. Soon the Bitcoin stakeholders can find a way to solve the current problems besetting Bitcoin.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on South Korea on: May 14, 2017, 04:20:25 AM
This is a big good news for all stakeholders of Bitcoin. Getting away from the unnecessary influence and control of China is a very healthy development. I am not always comfortable thinking that China has the power to control Bitcoin and its direction of growth. It is really time to spread Bitcoin and let it be de-monopolize.
10  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-05-14]Markets Update: Bitcoin Price Cools Down After Slight Correction on: May 14, 2017, 04:04:34 AM
Bitcoin would surely soon breach the psychological and all-time high of $2000 level...at least towards the end of the year or if we get lucky maybe by next month and that would be crazy indeed. The opening of new markets for Bitcoin is now getting to be the prime impetus for Bitcoin growth. We should hope that more countries would officially recognize Bitcoin.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: RANSOMWARE impact on: May 14, 2017, 03:56:44 AM
Nah, the mainstream media has made surprisingly little mention of Bitcoin in their reporting of the ransomware attacks and it doesn't matter - it's just another crime that people can commit with Bitcoin if they want to. Bitcoin isn't even the best thing to use for these attacks - Monero and other anonymous alts would ultimately be much better choices. If anything, the price will go up because of people buying Bitcoin to pay their ransoms   Smiley

I concur. Of course, Bitcoin can be used by anyone and for any kind of transaction and yes somehow it makes it more convenient for hackers to do their job because they can now use Bitcoin and maybe get away with the transaction. But am sure that soon we can find a way to stop these bad people from using Bitcoin. There should be a way for these hackers to be trace so they can be discouraged from using Bitcoin for illegal acts.
12  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Hacked several months ago lost a lot of bitcoins (87) ::sighs:: on: May 14, 2017, 03:28:02 AM
Just like your username, there must  be a little ANARCHY in that situation. Ordinary guys like us who are not really into tech things and may not be so well-rounded with security matters are people who are at risks. There seems to be a big industry for hacking online even before Bitcoin and they expanded amazingly with the introduction of Bitcoin because unlike Paypal it would be virtually impossible to reverse what have been transacted already in Bitcoin ( a big plus and sometimes a minus point depending on the situation).

All i can say is I can feel your pain and the ruin the incident bought to your finances. Sad to say that Bitcoin can already be gone forever.
