Tried to mine sia and eth but eth hashrate went to 40mh/s...

Suggestions ?
Did you change the dual coin mining intensity? (-dcri)

By default it's set to 30 I'm mining with RX 570s and had to lower it to 16 to have it not affect the ETH hashrate.

Z270 only had room for 2 onboard - I'm thinking about getting a couple of these:

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130968&cm_re=MSI_Z270_XPOWER_GAMING_TITANIUM-_-13-130-968-_-Product

They look like they can have 4 GPU's on board which I wanted to test out - if anyone has any experience I'd like to know.
As long as the motherboard has any sized PCIe slot (1x - 16x) you can purchse PCIe risers like this: https://www.amazon.com/PCI-E-Powered-Riser-Adapter-Extension/dp/B06XHVTCRF/ref=sr_1_6?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1495766268&sr=1-6&keywords=pcie+riser and just plug the riser into the motherboard and the card into the riser. Mining doesn't use that much slot bandwidth so mining performance is unaffected on the bus speed.

I'm currently using a mobo with 3 16x slots and 3 1x slots and using those risers in all the slots to be able to use 6 cards.

Since you already have an AX1500i you could just buy more cards or use those 470s and the 1060 and the risers and plug them into any open PCIe slot on your motherboard but you might have to do some research to see if your motherboard can hold 4-5+ GPUs.

I'm using an ASRock Z97 Extreme4 with 6 pcie lanes because I had it lying around and I don't seem to be having any problems with it. It has an M.2 port also so it might be able to do 7 but i'm not sure, I never tried it.

can someone whos doing eth+sia share your bat? thanks

I'm using RX 570's and get 29.1 MH/s on ETH and 466 MH/s on Sia

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool us1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal 0xF45c49cC99Be92723A46e26097460c57F7D01E1C.rig1 -epsw x -dpool stratum+tcp://sia-us-east1.nanopool.org:7777 -dwal fc7a646c46e0e2d445f1582cdd3620ff0086b6fa4848153fc1c3c6009500e9bc204bf8fc9df4/rig1/myemail -dcoin sia -dcri 16 -cclock 1140 -mclock 2050 -cvddc 850 -tt 72 -fanmin 50 -fanmax 90

But with the voltage at 850 the cards actually run at 0.818v for some reason but it's stable  Grin

that's just the core at 82w, the vrm uses another 70w..check it with aida64

my rx570 elpida @ 900mV uses about 150w for solo 28MH/s eth with core on 1132MHz, mem on 1975MHz..and 180w for dual 28MH/s eth + 280MH/s pasc

I download Aida64 and checked the power consumption of the GPU and VRM and it doesn't seem to make sense. I raised to the voltage to a little bit under stock voltage ~0.962v just to see how much power this would consume and Aida64 is saying the GPU is using ~115 watts and the VRM is using ~93 watts. But I highly doubt that means the cards are using 115 + 93 = 208 watts? That can't be. Which means at default voltage this card would be using way over 200 watts which it shouldn't since its TDP is only 150 watts. You sure the VRM wattage isn't just a percentage of the GPU wattage?

Currently using 3 Sapphire Pulse RX 570's 4GB with Hynix memory. Waiting on a motherboard to come in to add an additional 3.

Copied the 1500 straps
Undervolted cards to 0.818v
Core clock: 1140
Mem clock: 2050
In order to lower the voltage more i'd have to lower the core clock which hurts mining performance too much. So far all 3 cards are running between 80-84 watts and has been stable for a little over 24 hours. What are your opinions on the outcome? Could I improve the hash rates anymore without raising the wattage?

Have you checked the power consumption at the wall?

I don't currently have anyway to measure the power from the wall. Yeah I haven't thought about that power draw being from the GPU core only. You think they are actually using much more than what MSI Afterburner is saying?
