Really like the site, well done.
Only problem is that the data point are spaced too far apart when you zoom in to the 1 hour or 10 minutes view. Then all prices look like horizontal lines and it becomes impossible to see (relative) movements.
Could you include a bigger section of time on the horizontal axis, so we can actually see some price movement? Would be really useful. Possibly the ability to zoom out in time?
Even a tick sized time period would be great.
Thanks!!!!
I suggest you write a patch for that if you feel like it Thank you !
You're welcome

i wonder if the good graphics and all that functionality is possible on a raspberry. anyway, i am very interested in that project because the site is (was) my main source for bitcoin charts. i appreciate your work.
Yes, graphics and features are performed on the client side (on the web browser with JavaScript). The Raspberry is only used to collect and serve data, nothing intensive.

Hi everyone, As some of you may have already heard, Coinorama.net will soon be taken offline. It's been a great adventure, but I'd like to devote my spare time & money to other projects in 2016. You may find more details on r/bitcoinmarkets Thanks to all of you for your positive feedbacks and making this topic so unique ! Cheers !

Hi everyone,
After three exciting years of Bitcoin markets and network monitoring, I am sorry to announce that Coinorama.net will soon be taken offline. It's been a great adventure, but I'd like to devote my spare time & money to other projects in 2016.
I am currently testing the codebase on a Raspberry Pi, and will be releasing the source code some time this year. The current server will be turned off in a week or so.
Thanks to all of you for your positive feedbacks and best of luck for this new year :-)
Cheers

Didn't anyone notify this guy about the USMS auction, the EU ruling regarding Bitcoin and VAT, the BitLicense, the IRS, CFTC, SEC statements, etc. ? I don't get why such red flag waving is getting so much attention, while the evidence showing its ineptness are overwhelming... Pr. Stolfi, is that a friend of yours ?

I thought Coinmarketcap would have listed Ethereum by now. I was hoping to use it to compare Bitcoin's price and cap to Ethereum's. After all the hype it should have been on there after the first five minutes of trading starting. Is there any similar website that's listed Ethereum yet? It's too much work to constantly recalculate Ethereum's cap.
Coinorama doesn't provide exactly the same info as coinmarketcap, but anyway, I just added Kraken ETH/BTC to the data collection process. Charts will be available on the website by the end of the week-end.

Well good morning Bitcoinland.
You know there are things like timezones right? LOL I just stumbled on this post now. Yes of course I know about time zones, an invention of Sanford Fleming, I believe. You seem to be missing the point of my repetition. It's always morning, afternoon, evening or night somewhere in the world, but it's always morning in Bitcoinland. It's like my formerly frequent references to coffee. When I realized some people totally missed the metaphor and thought I was talking about the beverage, I toned it down a notch. I can't believe that some people reacted so negatively to what was intended to be a pleasant daily hello and recap of the day's status. At least your comment was civilized. Some people actually seemed perturbed and made a more hostile response. To these people I'll just say, "Get a life". Cheers. says the man with nothing to say but says it everyday anyway... good morning bitcoinland still nothing new to say i see still, sideways is good scorn & waffle etc... Uh ?! I really like Jimbo's daily greetings ! It's always a nicely-put, friendly and subtle summary of the price action. Keep it up dude !
