Even though people are still looking beyond Ronaldo and Messi because they got eliminated and trying to find people who were in the finals of champions league I think we can still assume they had a very worthy season.

Ronaldo went to Juventus at his age (lets face it, he is aging) and still made that team a Serie A champions and went as far as what quarter finals? That is still a decent achievement considering there were few people on his team that could have done that and it was mostly Ronaldos achievement himself.
yes indeed in the criteria of winning the Ballon D'Or is not chosen simply because how many in 1 season he won the trophy but based on the individual abilities of players such as how many assists, goals, passages and the like. The Ballon D'Or is an individual award so this will be seen from the statistics record of each player. But, indeed in this season there are still players who are statistically better than Messi & Ronaldo.

Hmm, this is difficult question. Let's see my list:
- Ronaldo
- Messi
- Neymar
Failed at UCL and WC so a big no.

- van Dijk, potential UCL winner
A defender.

- Modric, WC runner up
- Hazard, WC 3rd pos, good EPL stats
No trophies

- Mbappe, WC & Ligue 1 winner, Ligue 1 top goalscorer
- Salah, EPL top goalscorer & potential UCL winner
So between these two strikers, I would recommend Mbappe Smiley
Good analysis, based on this am actually thinking the Egyptian Pharaoh is more liked than Mbappe which is the winning factor and besides the English league has a much larger audience than ligue 1 which if tabled well gives Salah a huge advantage.
Am just hoping we don't go back to the Ronaldo, Messi pool when we have lots of great talent all around the world that deserve this trophy at the point. Who better to receive the Ballon Dor than Salah.
players in the world's most popular leagues such as Premiere League are strong candidates for the ballon D'Or. the selection of Ballon D'Or winners is based on voting from important people in football throughout the world.

In addition, Juve is rumored to be throwing 5 in order to hook Pogba back to Juventus, but Juve must raise money to complete this transfer. Mario Mandzukic, Douglas Costa, Joao Cancelo, Juan Cuadrado, and Mattia Perin are the five players who will be sold.

The Serie A champions hope the sale can reach 110 million euros, which will greatly help Pogba's transfer funding. Manchester United don't want to lose, they just want to take off Pogba at a high price.

This Pogba transfer is a win-win solution for all parties. MU fortunately because it can release players who are called to disrupt the stability of the squad, Pogba fortunately caused the ability to improve his career, Juve was fortunate.
For Pogba there are many rumors about him, some say he will go to Madrid but there are also those who say he will return to Juventus but if Juventus want Pogba to return the club must pay a high price + barter players.

Real Madrid presented Jovic Officially a few moments ago. Jovic looks really happy to be in the best club in the world. I really hope Jovic pass a wonderful season with Madrid. I also heard Hazard will be presented soon!

Another great signing for Real Madrid.
I think that Jovic will have to prove himself that he is capable of being in the first line up. Prolly he will be benched on the start of the season, unlike Hazard for example that he will join the first team immediately.
he will be a suitable modric partner in the real Madrid midfield, I think Zidane will find the perfect formation for Real Madrid next season with new players coming to this rich club.

Real Madrid were fantastic at this summer's transfer by bringing in 3 players namely Eder Militao, Luka Jovic and Eden Hazard. Of course, these three players are expected to be able to pass the good season with Real Madrid. With many new players it will certainly have an impact on old players who may leave Real Madrid, Nacho Fernandez, Mariano Diaz and Brahim Diaz. That's three players who might be threatened in Madrid.
Real Madrid in this season has made another transfer saga like a few years ago, buying superstars I think their target is to win UCL again. I think El Classico will be a fantastic match next season.

and for me Juventus also has a good defense and I don't think there is much need to change in the defense sector.
I don't agree. They need quite a lot of reinforcements in their defence actually. Barzagli has retired. Caceres will surely leave the club. That's two players less in the defensive rotation. Chiellini is getting old and is quite injury prone. He has a tendency to have muscular problems throughout the seasons which results in him missing important matches here and there.
we agree, Juventus must have a younger defender. Senior players like Chielini are too old for Juventus to have successors going forward. At present Rugani is one of Juventus' future defenders but that is still not enough.

Bernardo Silva got the MVP for the UEFA Nations League, so even with his 3 goals in the semi-finals Ronaldo wasn't picked as the best player of the tournament. I doubt he is a favourite to win the Ballon D'or. It will probably be Messi or van Dijk. Messi will be the favourite if he manages to carry Argentina to glory in the Copa America. Mo Salah has been injured for a while and I don't see him getting the award.

I agree.
Haven't thought of Bernardo Silva actually. He had a hell of a season and could be top 10... but he's not recognized enough to be a contender.
As of now, my top 5 would be :
1 Messi
2 Van Dijk
3 Ronaldo
4 Mbappe
5 Mane or maybe Salah
of all these names I only chose 3 strong candidates:
1. M. False
2. Van Dijk
3. Messi

I'm a Ronaldo fan but this season Messi has been so impressive by scoring a lot of goals in the Spanish league and also in the Champions League.

Bernardo Silva also deserves to be a prime candidate because in this season he has already won 5 trophies with clubs and Portugal, of course, this is a number of trophies that are enough to get a player in 1 season.

guys, in the Portugal match against Swiss C. Ronaldo scored a hattrick and brought Portugal to the final party. is it if Ronaldo is able to bring Portugal to the championship in this match do you think there are still opportunities for Ronaldo to win the Ballon D'oR?

Yeah, I had the same question. If Portugal wins the UEFA Nations League and if he becomes instrumental in the finals, he should be back in contention for the Ballon D'or award again.
I have asked a lot of this and the results stated that if Ronaldo won the final match he still could not get the Ballon D'oR because other candidates like Van Dijk still favorites.
If i'm not mistaken since the first time this award was held the winner were dominated by attacking midfielders or strikers players and rare to see defenders or midfielders can get this trophy and i think this year is not so different although Van Dijk was playing so well in premier league and champion league but the winner of ballon D'or probably will belongs to attackers players and not impossible to see Messi or Ronaldo lifted again the trophy
yes indeed the Ballon D'Or is always dominated by attackers or midfielders because statistically the most visible are the two pillars. I think it's time for UEFA to regulate overall player ratings.

Juventus seems already have an agreement with 2 players

Demiral very very strong IMHO https://www.transfermarkt.it/merih-demiral/profil/spieler/340879

Romero https://www.transfermarkt.it/cristian-romero/profil/spieler/355915 not so strong

Both are young.

They maybe try an offer for Manolas or DeLigt
Both of these players are young and don't have much experience, Juventus targets always want to become UCL champions so there must be additional players who have a lot of experience in UCL matches. I agree with you I think De Ligt will be a very good choice.
DE LIGHT is a talented young player with a good future, but I think it's difficult for Juventus to bring DE LIGHT. for ajax he is a valuable player, surely Juventus also do not want to pay dearly for players of the age of DE LIGHT. and for me Juventus also has a good defense and I don't think there is much need to change in the defense sector. precisely what Juventus have to focus on right now is the midfielder, because Juventus midfielder is currently no efficient ball supplier to the front line, after PIRLO leaves.
You're wrong to say that Juventus don't need a defender anymore, at the moment Juventus lack players in the defense sector and for the midfielder now it can be said enough because Aaron Ramsey is certain to be a Juventus squad but only an experienced midfielder at UCL is needed.

I wanna bet on Mou as the next Chelsea manager.  Take your pick and give me good odds if your pick is Lampard or Benitez or anybody more favored than Mou.

Open to anybody trusted.  20 bucks max from me.

I’m not betting on this, not confident enough. Been seeing rumours that Benitez goes to Chelsea & Newcastle get Mourinho because they’re getting bought out by a Sheikh.

I think there is no chance to happen Mourinho in Chelsea again, he is not that stupid. But if Newcastle has new owners, then it is a great opportunity for Mou. Solid transfer budget, building a team from scratch and no big pressure as they have in his last three clubs. Also, it will certainly help to draw attention to this club.
I agree, it seems impossible if Mourinho returns to Chelsea but it is very interesting to be a coach at Newcastle because it will be a new challenge in Mourinho's career. what interested me was about who he would bring to  Newcastle.
312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: June 12, 2019, 12:21:41 AM
The news that Morinho will train New Castle for next season's premier league is still confusing, there are rumors saying that Morinho will train one of the Italian league clubs in Serie A, AC Milan. Even so, Jose Morinho opened the chance to make a sensational comeback to Chelsea, Chelsea opened the opportunity to hook Morinho's jose for the third time, as a potential replacement for Maurizio Sarri
it looks a little strange but what makes this precisely from Mourinho himself, we know Mourinho is typical of people who often create controversy, we just wait for the news about which club he will train.
313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: June 11, 2019, 12:33:30 PM
^  Mou to Newcastle could be close to a possibility of happening if the Shiek's cousin buys the club.  But knowing Mou, if it isn't Chelsea or Man United, I don't think he'll be managing another EPL club unless he's reeaallyy desperate for a job.
Mou, who said he would open talks with the new Newcastle club owner. I think it will be interesting if a star coach like Mourinho trains a club like Newcastle. Mourinho will definitely bring top players to Newcastle clubs if he becomes a coach there.

The talk that Mourinho is going to be Newcastle coach for the upcoming season of the Premier League is going on from sometime now.

I think that because of this ,a lot of talking regarding this topic we will see it come true in the coming weeks or maybe in the beginning of August but I think it should become official sooner than that.
if this happens the Premier league will be interesting, I think there will be a lot of star players coming to Newcastle. although this looks very difficult to attract the interest of top players to the club but with Mourinho it can happen.

at the end of the UEFA Nation League Final match, Ronaldo was interviewed about the Ballon D'Or and Ronaldo did not want to talk about it, he had not thought about that possibility and would focus on thinking about next season.
I think Ronaldo doesn't want that award again. Maybe he often gets the title so he won't think about it anymore. With awards and trophies in the UEFA Nation League tournament, he has added a series of awards to clubs and countries.
Yes, maybe Ronaldo thinks there are still players who deserve that compared to him. Ronaldo is typically a hard worker, a season to come even though he will be 35 I think he will still try to be the best player.

Congratulations to Portugal as they secured the win over the Netherlands. It was a deserved victory for them they were the better team over both halves, Netherlands were only able to record just a shot on target all through the entire game.
Portugal played very impressive, Ronaldo did not score in that match but statistically he appeared very good. Van Dijk and De Ligt as a defender also played so brilliantly that it was very difficult for Ronaldo to pass them.
320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 11, 2019, 05:29:02 AM
some rumors about Juventus interested on Semedo from Barca.

Is he good?
hmm, I think he will be an additional defender in the Juventus squad because Barzagli is not in the Juventus squad for next season. he will be a suitable partner for Rugani.
