61  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KnCMiner Openday Wednesday 5th & Monday 10th June on: June 12, 2013, 05:54:41 PM
...
I have hours worth of audio recording to go through.
...
In any case I have to listen through it all despite remembering most from memory anyway. I'm not typing a transcript though...that would take forever!
...

I would actually like to hear/read the full audio, so much can be lost in translation. Maybe we can all pitch in to get the full transcript converted to text; or group pay an audio transcription service like rev.com ($1/min)?

From a friend in Paypal, got this in an email today:
Clarification on Bitcoin merchants using PayPal 6/10/2013 8:58 AM (-05:00) Impacted market: EMEA
We’ve received a number of escalations regarding Bitcoin merchants using PayPal. Any merchant seeking to sell or buy Bitcoins with PayPal is operating as a financial exchange. Please be aware that Financial Exchange merchants are prohibited unless pre-approved by PayPal. This process involves getting VP approvals from both Risk and Compliance, and only licensed financial institutions are considered.
Merchant contacts
If we receive contacts on Bitcoin sales, instead of escalating further, kindly advise customers that they need to be licensed financial institutions to be considered for approval. However, there are some acceptable cases, as outlined below.
Acceptable Bitcoin business models for PayPal
Merchants with a business model that is related to Bitcoin but does not sell Bitcoins may be acceptable. For example: Merchants offering Bitcoin education packages Merchants selling computer hardware designed specifically for mining Bitcoins. In this case, kindly ensure that the merchant isn’t pre-selling and actually has the equipment ready to deliver.
Please note – All Bitcoin-related e-commerce should be considered high risk.

Any thoughts?

Did everything as promised and was open to a fair process where it protected both parties (I send half, he does the request, I send other half).  If opportunity presents itself, will work with him again!

I was in the neighborhood this past weekend and swung by Terrahash office hoping they might be hard at work and get a chance to meet them.  (Yes, I called them but it went to voicemail and my email was unanswered).

Albeit it was a Sunday afternoon, so no one was there. But it didn't look like they had a chance to move in yet as the office was still empty and had no signage.  Here are some pictures of their office from the outside!

Any update or responses to some of the posts and questions?  A lot of us are watching this very closely, this is a race, and Steamboat seems to be winning.

Updated the website with our office address. Final moving in tomorrow. Anybody who wants to come visit can call us for an appointment.

We are still deciding whether to accept Paypal/CC/Bank Transfers.

The modular boards, even if ordered without a case, will come with heatsinks.

The DX Mini supports 20 K16s, not 10.

You should register on LocalBitcoins.com and find cash buyers there.

I've seen more money on the Craps table by a single gambler in Vegas then this...

Do it in Vegas!  Can't be more secured then that, and avoid the Craps table after you finish the transaction. Grin

I have an order ID of 1732.  It's for a QTY of 5 Jupiters.

Here's my Email screenshot:

You can read about the discussion on why a Pre-Order number of 1732 exists even though its a 1-500 batch:

Reply with best offer for transparency sake, I'll take the highest offer (if any) of the thread by midnight tonight (in abut 6 hours.

78  Other / Beginners & Help / [WTB] 1BTC for KNCMiner Preorder on: June 04, 2013, 05:00:23 AM
I'm interested in buying a preorder spot.  My current spot is in the 17xx range so if I'm going to take the risk to do this, I might as well do it early.

I'm willing to spend up to 1BTC.  Give me your order # and your best price or PM me.  Thanks.
79  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Way to get round the 5 post limit... on: June 04, 2013, 01:17:26 AM
You should be able to pay your way out of Newbie jail.  Maybe 0.10BTC - first, it makes it expensive to create fake/bot accounts.  And two, you get more funds to make the forum better.

Just my 0.02btc.

Thanks for your answers!
One more question - why do you call your partner CodeMonkey?!

I think that's his handle/alias. right?
