41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] eMunie (EMU) - NOT a BitCoin fork/clone - call for beta testers on: June 10, 2013, 10:22:37 PM
I'm in for testing.

Is this going to be scrypt or other protocols?
42  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BAMT version 0.5 - Easy USB based mining Linux with farm wide management tools on: June 02, 2013, 04:18:21 PM
Has anyone been able to run bamt on gigabyte mobo: z77x-d3h? I'm linux newbie and when I boot if from usb to bamt, it does not work,  it shows "No Network Connection" when hovering over the icon on bottom right.
Anyone knows how to fix this?
43  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Building the Next Generation of Crypto-Currency (developers required) on: May 25, 2013, 04:45:42 PM
This idea sounds great, would love to be part of it as the designer!
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: May 24, 2013, 12:42:03 PM
In my exp, with some A/B testing two pools during the same period, at least 12 hrs each, pools with small fees tend to give you better payout compared to free ones.

Free pools are usually either:
a) down quite frequently - decreases your mining efficiency
b) higher rejects (or higher % of invalid shares in case of PPLNS) - decreases mining yield
c) more stale shares
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Build me a LTC rig on: May 24, 2013, 12:34:42 PM
I have 3 Sapphire 7970 OC running stable at 720Kh/s, total rig draw only 750W at the wall!

Was looking into 7950 since everyone is raving about it, but now that I see they only get 630-650Kh/s and drawing 730W, plus someone mentioned horrible vacuum noise level (I live in apartment too without a garage or basement), 7970 seems to be the best bet!
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BOUNTY 10BTC] Mining FTC blocks 1BTC@32880,32900,32920,32940,32960 5BTC@33,000 on: May 23, 2013, 03:06:22 PM
Hehe, I'm dropping my new rig over this soon, hoping to win another bounty from bushstar (will be the third one I get from him!).

They say if something happens twice, it will most likely happen the third time. Let's see if this is my third time  Cheesy
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Mining Rigs RIGHT HERE! CryptoCoinMiners.com - IN STOCK! on: May 22, 2013, 11:38:37 AM
Why not use 7950's for lite coin mining?

4 7950's would hash around 2000 kh/s 4 7970's will hash around 3000 kh/s.

Mind sharing what bios version and/or gpu clock and memory setting you used to get 750kh/s of these 7970 dual-x OC?

I only get 715kh/s on mine with 1015/1425 with cgminer and have it run stable without crashing for days.

Using default bios that comes with the card - version: 015.025.000.099.000000
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: * * BitBar logo & banner contest * * 1 BTC & 3 BTB bounty on: May 19, 2013, 11:42:43 PM
Looking for a professional BitBar logo & banner

The winner receives 1 BTC and 3 BTB.

Some info at: http://bitbar.info and http://bitbar.biz

Expecting "pro" quality for that bounty?
Good luck with that, third world country freelancers get paid more than that in USD for typical logo jobs.

I got paid 10 times more than that to do Feathercoin logos and banners. And considering the positioning of BitBar:

Quote
Consolidating Your Digital Wealth

You are only decreasing it's value by posting such a cheap bounty for its logo => it literally means BitBar is only worth 1/10 of Feathercoin.

49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitGem, the precious scrypt PoW/PoS cryptocoin. on: May 16, 2013, 01:01:06 PM

50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Critical Update] Feathercoin 0.6.4 - Hard Fork at block 33,000 on: May 16, 2013, 12:10:42 PM
@Bushstar, instead of reducing retarget time, have you considered making difficulty retarget dynamic so just it will adjust REALLY FREQUENTLY, something similar to Bitbar?
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Mandatory Update] Feathercoin 0.6.4 - Hard Fork at block 33,000 on: May 16, 2013, 12:08:01 PM
FC is traded on an exchange so unlike FC2 it should probably be taken seriously.
So Chinacoin should be taken seriously? YaCoin too?
Feathercoin is what I spend all my time on and I take it very seriously.

Totally love that line!

It's good to see someone behind the coin actually cares about it, not just because it's on exchange. Just like bitcoin, it's the community that drives growth. Among all new alt coins launched recently, this is the only one I respect!
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Elacoin | Releasing Soon | Fair Elastic Scrypt Mining | No Premine on: May 14, 2013, 06:13:58 AM
Announce pre-release => postpone one day => lots of troll posts => gets to exchange = YAC = altcoin client stealing Bitcoin wallet.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Elacoin | Releasing Soon | Fair Elastic Scrypt Mining | No Premine on: May 14, 2013, 06:10:01 AM
Looks like another 1.5 days late release like Yac coin
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decrits Digest: Solution for a value stable, truly decentralized currency on: May 13, 2013, 05:56:23 AM
Any TL;DR version? Or something long but for humans with IQ<160?
+1 No idea will take off if no single average Joe with IQ ~100 can understand.

We need this concept re-described in plain English!

I had the same problem with 7970 before when work size is set to 64, try turning your work size back to 256, like this:
Code:
-w 256
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FeatherCoin (FTC) miners complaining "diff is high", "chain got stuck", "fix it" on: May 09, 2013, 05:43:46 PM
Dear miners,

FeatherCoin diff got "a bit" high, profitability is a bit low (80% atm) so you miners ran away to other coins and now start complaining "the chain is stuck, fix it!".

It's easy to fix, it's easy to get your coins in/out exchanges again... How? Start mining the darn coin!

I'm currently mining at http://fc.altpool.com with my 2.7Khash/s because I want to safe this coin, keep it on the exchanges and get my transactions through.

Join! Spread the word! When the going gets tough...
Only to have everyone jumping in again once it resets to 30 diff, and within 8 hrs or so it will be abandoned again.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CureCoin to be released soon. on: May 09, 2013, 05:19:10 PM
If this project is for real, at last my power costs will go to some good course, beyond heating our apartment atm (it's winter here in the Southern hemisphere!)
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WTB 10K RYC for 1 LTC / 1K on: May 09, 2013, 05:13:41 PM
More like 10k RYC for 0.5 LTC =)

Limitless you are a scammer sir!

Than report him and create scam acusation thread. Posting that someone is scammer won't prevent him to scam more.

He is already on scammer's list
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Suggestion - Disallow JR members from posting new topics! on: May 09, 2013, 04:44:29 PM
Agree, people with less than 1 month old account should have post cap per day and not be able to move to full member even if post count exceeds 100. This is not just to fight spam, but also make it easier to tell if someone's account looks fishy and just created for the purpose of scamming.
