2.2 for all

send me link for this chips

I'll run this as an auction style until tomorrow afternoon. It is 8:29PM EST here in the US where I live so I will close up the auction around 2PM EST tomorrow if that is OK with you.

The wallet ID that I paid with (and will accept payment for the winner) is 1EGvMF6p3kPXMPDCtZogq8mB8NutD4KmSi. You can reference zefir's thread to see the batches that I am in.

PLEASE do not send any funds until I confirm that you are the winner.
3  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Avalon ASIC chips from zefir's group buy on: May 24, 2013, 11:52:28 PM
I`ll go 0.6 for 5

While this is the highest bid for BTC/chip, I would really prefer to not split them up. Also, I am not sure if zefir would allow me to put more than one shipping address per batch that I am registered in, let alone split up chips within one purchase in one batch. To keep it simple and not run into any problems, I would prefer to sell them all to one buyer.

Therefore, the highest bid is 2BTC for all twenty at the moment.

Also going to edit my OP to include that shipping costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. I will not be paying for shipping. Zefir stated that fiat or BTC is acceptable for the shipping charge. I can work out a rough shipping estimate with the buyer from zefir to their designated shipping location(be it a board manufacturer, their residence, etc.) and the shipping can be paid at the close of this sale. Or, if zefir is OK with the buyer paying the shipping, we can arrange it that way. Whichever the buyer chooses to do is fine by me, I am just trying to avoid any headaches and streamline it as much as possible so that all I need to do is send zefir the address.
4  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] Avalon ASIC chips from zefir's group buy on: May 24, 2013, 10:44:58 PM
I have a total of 20 chips from zefir's group buy that I would like to sell. I have ten chips in batch #4 and ten chips in batch #5. As this was, to my knowledge, the first group buy batches to go through before others on the forum, this means your place in line is before the other GBs since Avalon is shipping them on a first come first serve basis. Of course the chips are not in my hands yet, but zefir has not started taking addresses for shipping. Per his original thread, he also does not want to deal with people selling their orders and changing his log book. Once the chips are being shipped, I will simply tell zefir the shipping info of whoever buys the chips.

I am gauging interest for the chips in this thread and will decide if I want to sell them or not. The reason why I am on the fence about selling them is that on one hand, I love mining with my GPUs(which is slowly dying) and would like to continue to do so. On the other hand, I am moving to a new place and could use some extra cash to help with the move as well as starting a job that will be around 80 hour work weeks and I just won't have the time to send my chips to a board designer and wait for them to send it back and set it up, etc.

I am open to reasonable offers, but would definitely want at least what I paid for the chips(0.86BTC per 10) and would be willing to let them go if I get a reasonable enough offer.

Thanks for looking and let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

2. think
3. post or not
 Grin

Read: "oh sh*t! order window closing soon!"
Think: run to exchange while posting at same time
Post: derp

Sorry guys. I should've read more thoroughly and realized a reservation wouldn't be fair to do. There are lots out there that can say they want X number and never come up with the $ for it but I didn't think about it in that way at the time. Anyways, money sent!

Trying to convert some fiat into BTC on an exchange right now. Not sure if you can reserve/hold chips, but if you can, sign me up for a 16 chip board.

10. Reservation
No reservations. If you pay and give me the details you're in. Reservations wouldnt be fair against the others. And as long as its possible to order chips there will be a new batch created everytime. The blockchain is the indisputable proof of your payment.

Did you even read the post?  Cheesy

Haha, nope! I wanted to hop on board ASAP and just put that as a placeholder while I ran to the exchange. Sending my BTC over now Wink.

8  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMINER Blade Sales on: May 13, 2013, 08:52:12 PM
These are unlikely to break even in under 6 months. Maybe 12 months. That's too long a time frame for my investment comforts.

Its hard to tell. my basic research and calculations indicate that at the current rate of ASIC development/release you should be able to break even in a 6 month time period if there is no major release by avalon, BFL, or any other underdog thats still in R&D.

optimistically, the blade could pay for itself in about 4 months, and at the end of its "lifespan' of 2 years (i refuse to look any further due to diminishing returns and the possibility of hardware failure you could make about a 200% profit.

less optimistically, if the value of BTC changes or ASICs quickly come into the market at competitive pricing, this could take 8-10 months to break even and may only see a 100% ROI during its lifespan (which will require 24/7 uptime, basic user interaction, and the chance of hardware failure)

If i had 50BTC in my wallet I would probably buy one of these now. However, I don't and am willing to wait another month for when you can get at least 50% more hash per dollar.  i would love to see 5Gash for 20 BTC - that would be my trigger to buy one

There are other options out there for far less than 20BTC per 5GH. Of course they aren't out yet, but I am sincerely interested in the DIY Avalon projects.
9  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: May 13, 2013, 08:39:27 PM
Thanks for the reply. I will be purchasing ones already put together and may or may not send my chips to you seeing as I have an odd number. Thanks again for the info!
10  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: May 12, 2013, 07:58:10 PM
I'm interested in this project as well. I have a few questions about ordering though. Since I was in 2 group buys from zefir and ordered only 20 chips, I would need an extra 12 to make 2 units, would you be willing to sell these to me so I can have 2 complete units? My chips are in 2 orders from zefir and would probably ship out at different times. When you guys open up orders for board production, how will orders be queued, on a first come first served basis, or will it be based on that as well as when you receive our chips? It would seem somewhat unfair if I purchased 2 boards and you didn't receive my chips for weeks, but on the flip side it would suck if I ordered the 2 boards and got in a fair queue and something go wrong or delays between you guys getting the boards. I know this is common sense possible risks I am taking by venturing into any company, but would just like to ask anyways. Good luck!

I'm not looking to "keep up" really, just wanted to gauge interest if people are interested in buying them. I would sell them on eBay but I don't have the parts on hand and do not want to deal with possible delays in shipping due to parts not being available, etc. and have funds locked in PayPal. Honestly, building PCs is a hobby of mine that I enjoy and thus the reason for me wanting to do it. Building them isn't an issue at all, I just don't want to deal with buyer's remorse on eBay.

Maybe set up a website or something.

This would be a great idea if my web designing skills weren't that of a house plant  Cheesy. And I would like to start off small to begin with. Thanks for the input though!
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [WTS] Mining rigs on: May 07, 2013, 05:09:51 PM
So I posted this over in the marketplace but am getting no love over there  Cry.

I enjoy building computers and have built quite a few for myself, family members, and friends. I would be interested in putting together rigs for anyone who is interested. I do not have the $ to upfront build it and do not want to risk someone backing out at last minute so I would request payment upfront. As far as trust goes, I can provide my personal cell phone number and email address if you are interested in going forward with a build so you can contact me at any point during the build. I won't publicly post my number or give it away to anyone, just those serious enough to do business with me. If it makes anyone feel more comfortable by ordering the parts and having them shipped to me, that would be fine. I will provide all tracking info and shipping info on the parts so you know when I receive them. I can source parts locally which would be more expensive, or get them online for a better price. Case options and mobo options would depend on how many GPUs you would want for the machine. For more than 2 GPUs I would seriously consider an open case(test bench style).

Turn around time would be 1-3 days from receipt of the parts and then it would be shipped via UPS with delivery confirmation, insurance, and signature required to protect both parties. I will obviously test the rig first before shipping it out and provide constant updates on the status of the order. I can configure it with any mining client/pool and can install clients for the coins you wish to mine.

Pricing will be based on the amount of work it takes to build the rig and the parts included. Buyer would be responsible for paying for the parts upfront as well as shipping. I haven't determined a set fee for assembling rigs since I would mainly be doing it for my own enjoyment and would be open to reasonable offers for the build.

Feel free to post any inquiries here or PM me for more info. Thanks for looking!

If anyone is interested, I too am building mining rigs. I can build to fit your budget and can build it in a closed case(hotter temps obviously) or in an open case(test bench design). Below is the link to my thread I started.
