Were able to resolve the issue in Telegram Smiley
For some reason the 18.50 driver in Hive did not work for him, while 19.10 did (what is strange since I compiled with 18.50...)
Any ways: it worked then Smiley

For Windows users: updated version to 0.9.6.1 - fixing a bug with 8G cards on Win 10 using 4G solver on C31. Download location is same  as before, Linux is not affected afaik.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GMiner v1.95 Equihash/CuckooCycle/Ethash/Eaglesong/Blake2s on: January 21, 2020, 02:56:42 PM
ETC mining on Pascal cards seems to be broken. Got only a half hashrate (17-20 MH/s) on 1070ti when mining ETC (ETH is ok).
Tested on Nicehash and Ethermine ETC pools.

I would not say broken, but ETC is in a later dag epoch which may hurt your card more then it should (but its normal etc is slower then eth due to this). I assume at least the general implementation for etc and eth has same quality.

this version of lolminer v09.5 doesnt like vega's.. it gives me 0.00 hashes

Can you share operation system.and driver version? Would like to debug, but need more info Wink
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner 0.9.5 Grin Fork support + Better C31 performance (Jan 14th) on: January 17, 2020, 09:51:36 PM
Problem is that my solver at the moment needs 8G to work. So 390 does work, but Fury only got 4G ... I am thinking about a 4G solver but its more complicated then anticipated.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner 0.9.5 Grin Fork support + Better C31 performance (Jan 14th) on: January 16, 2020, 01:18:31 PM
Well no I would say ... When you put in the actual values its 2nd best algo after ethash - but well that still leading the pack. Well on Vegas its different (just wtm using totally unreasonable clock settings ^^)
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner 0.9.5 Grin Fork support + Better C31 performance (Jan 14th) on: January 16, 2020, 12:43:11 PM
C31 very profitable at the moment - because the grin network needed to adjust diff down due to the C29 fork.
Miner where are you? Cheesy

Ps: good progress on 4G C29M code Smiley
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner 0.9.5 Grin Fork support + Better C31 performance (Jan 14th) on: January 16, 2020, 05:33:50 AM
Bug in lolminer on nvidia card

....
why lolminer launch in all videocards (55-100Mb using in all videocard)

I will check - seems some of the cleanup does not work for unselected cards. That lolMine is displayed at all comes from.OpenCL context that is created...

By the way we had C29M blocks now, but the diff balancibg in grin takes a while to adjust to the new scheme. Give it 3-4 hrs then every thing should be normal Smiley

Does not seem so - here its very silent recently.
Currently only two miners announced for C29M (gMiner on cuda and lolMiner for AMDs). So bminer, where are you, we miss you  Huh

Hey Friends,

I hope this post is allowed here, else feel free to moderate it.

I just upgraded lolMiner to version 0.9.5 that brings support for the new C29M PoW upgrade on Thursday to 8G AMD GPUs, Linux / Win 7 / Win 10

Here is my BTC talk thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4724735.msg53601881#msg53601881

Here the release directly:

Any feedback appreciated, Happy mining Smiley
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner 0.9.5 Grin Fork support + Better C31 performance (Jan 14th) on: January 14, 2020, 11:27:54 AM
Hey Friends,

just pushed the update to lolMiner 0.9.5.

For all that just need the link: Here it is

This one will finally bring support for the C29M upgrade on Thursday Cheesy

Here is the full change log:

Version 0.9.5
  • Added support for Grin CuckarooM-29 (hard fork on Jan 16th) on 8G AMD GPUs, use --coin GRIN-C29M to mine with it.
Hint: The miner will pause until the fork height is reached not to waste energy. Use --coin FLOO-C29M to test the miner in floonet testnet before if you like.
  • Improved C31 performance on 8G cards by ~5% (Windows: relatively to 0.9.3, Linux: relatively to 0.9.4)
  • Navi on Windows now runs same kernels as in Linux
  • Slightly lowered energy use of C31 / C32 solver
  • Added aliases GRIN-C31 and GRIN-C32 for the Cuckatoo solvers (the old names still exist and continue to work)
  • Changed driver requirement for all GRIN codes: 18.50 for all pre-Navi cards, 19.30 for Navi (Linux); Adrenaline 18.12 for all pre-Navi, Adrenaline 19.10 for Navi

Expected performances:

GRIN-C29M (stock clocks, tested using amdgpu-pro 19.30)
Note: Windows speeds may differ slightly (max 3-4%)

  • Radeon VII: 6.1 g/s
  • Vega 64: 4.4 g/s
  • Vega 56: 3.7 g/s
  • RX 5700: 4.0 g/s
  • RX 570: 2.2 g/s

Any feedback appreciated Smiley

what the pool support Cuckatoo-32???

solo mode only yet

No, grinmint, e.g already supporting C32 shares on the C31 stratum. But atm C31 giving better return since its fade out has not started yet Smiley
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner 0.9.4 C31 performance +7% on Vega, +12% on Navi (Dec 13th) on: January 01, 2020, 08:39:49 AM
Happy new Year you all Cheesy

Can you support MoneroV (XMV) Algorithm: Cuckarood29v  Smiley ?
Official Miner https://github.com/xmvdev/MoneroVMiner/releases

I need to support 4G  Grin
As soon as there is support with manners, the coin will be rolled into the bottom. So you don't need anything. Be happy with what you have.

Just hearing of MoneroV the first time. Wonder what this is about. Well it seems there are only changes in the  cycle length and some small stuff in the stratum (Hell, why people always fail to document that stuff when they fork a coin)... but seriously: There is not even 1k g/s using my C29D code although its the only 4G implementation for AMDs ... how much can I expect from this - the network not even is 1/100 the size of grin. That likely won't roi the time for me changing the code Sad
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner 0.9.4 C31 performance +7% on Vega, +12% on Navi (Dec 13th) on: December 19, 2019, 09:17:44 AM
Good and bad news from AMD (Link if anyone wants to read themselves why)

It seems I will be able to port 0.9.4 speedup for Navi on Windows, but not for Vega 56/64 and VII. "Stupid" driver limitation imao - well at least they are aware of the issue now. Will need to figure out if I see a way to speed it up without using the extra memory (in that case also 470/480/570 and 580 would profit ... I will try...)
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner 0.9.4 C31 performance +7% on Vega, +12% on Navi (Dec 13th) on: December 17, 2019, 06:40:55 PM
Until the C31 phaseout starts around Jan 15, C31 will certainly be more profitable.
It depends on your hardware when C32 becomes more profitable, but likely not until April...

Well I would guess a little earlier - lets assume a Vega64 does 1.3 g/s C31 and 0.4 g/s C32. So 30.7% of the speed. Considering the higher scale of C32 the profitability is right now 63% of C31. So at current speeds it will take until end of March until the profitability flips. But C32 is barely optimized yet Wink

Ps: currently on travel, sry for the silence. Also still waiting for reply from AMD about the Windows issue :/
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner 0.9.4 C31 performance +7% on Vega, +12% on Navi (Dec 13th) on: December 15, 2019, 08:40:12 AM
I have two VEGA-64 cards that can 't work on such high settings.
Settings of these cards:
GPU 1032 Mhz 905 mV. Memory: 1020 Mhz, 905 mV.
Consumes 170W GPU power.
0,97 g/s

With 1032 mhz core you can go much lower in voltage. This way its inbalanced because
-The very low core loweres performance
- The voltage needs to be high because mem clock is high
- The high voltage causes too high consumption

Rather go to 1200 / 920 / 835mV ... that should be (0.9.4) slightly over 1.1g/s at much lower consumption.
In mmpos chanel I saw one guy running 6x V64 on 1120 / 920 / 760mv (! Not all cards will alloe that). He had 6.3 g/s on all cards and 920W at wall (6card + cpu + mobo + ram...)

Thanks for answer,
Cant u do in next releases the background windows function ?
Thanks

Can try, sure Smiley
But before need to solve the miracle how to port the 0.9.4 speed improvement to Windows :/

Looks like healthy settings - but remember that the 190W displayed are chip power only - need to add memory and board for AMDs (else I could claim my miner would do 1.15 g/s at 100W - which is chip power only, but obviously cheating ^^)
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner 0.9.4 C31 performance +7% on Vega, +12% on Navi (Dec 13th) on: December 14, 2019, 03:28:17 PM
hi its possible to run in background lolminer with some parameter in json file?

Not yet - well on Linux you can just append & on the cmd to run it completely in background.

Memory: Frequency - 1100Mhz, 905 mV.
GPU: P5 1212 Mhz, 1100mV. P6 1307Mhz, 905 mV. P7 1472 Mhz, 925 mV.
Radeon 19.12.1.
CPU Intel i3-4170
teamredminer-v0.6.1 - work.
lolMiner-0.9.3 don't work.
"Stuck device detected, invoking emergency script."

Lifting my virtual hat then for trm (I like the guys anyways - they are great and made a great product!). I must admit I did not try that high memclk - afaik only Samsung mem allows to clock that high and also that often requite quite high core voltage.
I tested - and optimized - the miner more for more watts saving clocks like 1280 / 1000 which runs often with voltages low as 825mV (some cards may need 850 or 862 ...). At least on Linux, 19.30 the 0.9.4 miner then still mines at ~1.15 g/s (rocm 1.2 when you got no risers) but also power draw is <160W then (chip reported even <125, but always need to add some for board and memory).

With P7 at 1470 / 1100 I am sure you can not end up below  230? (more a guess ^^)
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Grin | PoW Mining | Electronic transactions for all. Community driven. on: December 14, 2019, 08:28:50 AM
Since some users do not monitor the mining forum regularly I wanted to post here, that I recently released lolMiner 0.9.3 (Windows) and lolMiner 0.9.4 (Linux only).
(BTC Talk announcement thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4724735)

The miner is currently good for mining C31 on AMD cards. Performance of 0.9.3 and a stock Vega 64 is about 1.25 g/s while 0.9.4 can do up to 1.35 g/s (ROCm + Samsung memory at 1100 even 1.45g/s) . The reason for this being Linux only is that this new performance kernel currently does not work with Windows - currently investigating why.  Better settings lower the clock to ~1200 mhz and voltage to 835 range giving less then 120W chip power and still >1 g/s even on Vega 56. Navi cards are also supported. To achieve the claimed performance make sure CPU load on rest of system is low and that you use a recent driver (Win: 19.10.1 and newer recommended, Linux: amdgpu-pro 19.30 or ROCm 2.10 recommended - ROCm seems to be faster on 1 or 2 card systems, amdgpu-pro on multi card rigs)

Both versions feature the first available GRIN Cuckatoo-32 miner for 8G cards (use --coin GRIN-AT32) - the code in the 0.9.4 release is a bit more mature, so it was in 0.9.3 as an easter egg. When you want to mine C32 make sure your pool supports it already and be aware that at the current difficulties and with the C31 fade out  not yet started C31 is more profitable.
