1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Pillar - The Personal Data Locker - 60hr Token sale begins July 15 on: July 19, 2017, 12:18:41 PM
Boys and girls- this is what we call a scam.  This project was pumped harder than Sasha Grey's ass on the socials and YouTube- pretty sure the pumpers got bounties.  Pretty sure many idiots got suckered into this.  Pretty sure investors couldn't trade their tokens according to their terms, tokens "on ice," yet insiders dumped on ED...pretty sure this is a scam run by incompetent people who have big dreams and lack skill or work ethic to achieve anything beyond employing pumpers and getting idiots to send them ETH.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Guncoin(GUN) - New NeoScrypt Algorithm on: June 30, 2017, 03:58:09 AM
Any ideas for the future?  I think Bancor will fail to get traction.  Crappy team, greedy team- same guys behind the failed AppCoin and Mastercoin.  Hard to judge them that harshly, because our coin is failing too.

Again, I think we are back to ETH or another blockchain.  Again, given where the crypto world is heading- there is no love for coins where just 5 people are mining and diluting ICO investors before they pump.  Let's do the evolution/pump now...LOL

We need real world scenarios and use.  We can't just have like 10 people mining the coin.  Anyone can rip open source code, list on Cryptopia and have 10 people mining a coin with $20 daily volume.  It's time to thing big and move beyond this small thinking.

Our competitive advantage isn't trying to outcompete the REAL blockchains out there.  Screw trying neoscrypt, PoW or PoS.  Let's put the coin on a mainline blockchain where better and bigger dev teams do that work for us.  We should focus on adoption.

Haaaaaaaaa!  I've been calling this a scam...but anytime somebody brings up the team's crappy record or inconsistencies all I hear is FUD this and FUD that...LOL...

Looks like a lot of motherFUDders got f'd by this scam coin.

And just wait until all these ICOs start dumping the ETH they collected.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: June 12, 2017, 10:07:58 AM
People don't understand this ICO.  They have a false notion that because of a CRR that there is some stability/certainty/safety to their investment.

The reserve ratio will be 10% and at the discretion of the team.  This team has pretty much failed at everything they've done.  This is not a good "long term" play.  So good luck holding, and the only certainty is that the reserve ratio will be less than 20%.  So feel great that when 350k+ ETH is raised- you'll be able to convert it back to 20% of your original contribution.  You're basically betting on more people buying BNT for ETH after an large amount of ETH already is raised.

This is a disaster in the making.  I know, I know....it's FUD...but most of you are bounty paid shills or just following the crowd without understanding how BNT actually works.  And there have been hundreds of coins released that have failed...so sometimes it's good to try to listen to some FUD and pick the right coins.

The 350 million USD cap will be hit anyway, no matter what you type here. Wink

My question to you.  Can you sell this token on an exchange for other crypto?

Make GUN Great Again!

Why don't we start advertising on Infowars and other sites??

Even if you don't always agree with them, it certainly has a 2A friendly audience.

For me the coin's future is a bit unknown though. What will changing to a token on a different blockchain do for the value of the coin? How would the transfer process work exactly? Exchanges might potentially drop it if it forks or transfers. How anonymous is the coin, compared to something like Verge, Monero or Zerocoin? How is the work load going to be distributed to the community instead of all on the dev's shoulders? These are questions we need to answer before "relaunch".

I think we do need to innovate while ensuring continuity of value.  We can't just change things up and screw the current holders.  But I think it's fair to say we definitely need to be adaptable, because right now, the only thing differentiating this coin is that it has gun in it's name.  It's no better than Monero, Zcash, etc... in fact it's worse, because only a handful of people mine it or use it.  I'm not crapping on the dev, he's doing what he can- I'm just telling the truth and wanted to kickstart a change.

As of now I think we're still open to ideas.  DefCad didn't want to work with us to store 3D files.  But nothing is stopping us from just storing 3D files without partnering with them.  We mentioned pegs, like Gun Gold, Gun Silver....etc...but again we need devs and resources-which could change as new blockchains come out.

Lol...So many other coins out there that actually exist (not vaperware)....and people putting money into $1 billion market value vaperware coin...cuz "China"

Most of the crypto world is on fire with new coins and new ideas that actually exist...and here there are idiots trading IOUs on shady Chinese exchanges of a coin with scammer founders with no track record.....idiots waiting for big future releases by October from a team with no track record... LOL...dreaming of a big "ETH of China" payday.

The only payday is to the founders and their buddies who run the exchanges.  Keep waiting until October...by then you'll miss out on crypto projects that actually exist today.  I get such a laugh watching ppl on this thread holding Qtum...waiting until October and having the perseverance to pump this coin daily with the fear the floor could give out at any moment and the crypto world can move on to new coins while you're waiting to cash in your coins in September.

If you were smart, you'd cash out now while the price is ~$11...lol

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Qtum] A Scalable POS Smart Contract Platform| $15.6M raised on: June 07, 2017, 09:51:24 AM
I was writing to warn people when Qtum was at $15 ($1.5 billion market cap).  Price is now $9.75 ($975 million market cap).

It's still overvalued.  Their transparency announcement was defensive and only applied to the foundation side of the business.  Any smart person will tell you that just being transparent with the Swiss foundation portion- which is just a shell controlled by the corporate side is meaningless.

Also this IPO was exchange friendly- Qtum's exchange buddies got ICO allocations and they have an interest in pumping the price.  Usually when an exchange lists a coin with no alpha or anything-that means the exchange probably got some benefit such as ICO allocation at terms more favorable than general investors.

So, again:
-Founders/team have no history of successful crypto project
-Founder has been outed as a scammer on a previous project
-Only listed on Chinese exchanges involved with the project
-NO PRODUCT, NOT EVEN A TESTNET
-market cap went from $1.5 billion to $975 million in a couple days- still just vaporware

You have idiots comparing this to ETH.  Vitalik would never launch ETH in such a shady manner coordinating with his exchange buddies with not even an alpha in testnet.

Keep calling it FUD...but ask yourself why no reputable exchange outside of a few Chinese exchanges would list this coin?  How come a coin valued at $1 billion can't get a listing on Polo? Bittrex? Liqui?  Use your brain.  I dared you to buy at $15....I dare you to buy at $9...This is no ETH...and even if it was...even ETH had hiccups/growing pains.  You think a team with no track record, alpha...is going to not have a single hiccup?  Yet people keep throwing money away cuz of "China"....why does a country need its own crypto?  Aren't successful cryptos supposed to be global/borderless and most importantly TRANSPARENT?  I actually think the "it's China" argument makes this less valuable because it tells me this coin is constraining itself to a particular region- a region known for a lack of transparency.  And everything this project has done so far follows in the Chinese tradition of poor transparency.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Qtum] A Scalable POS Smart Contract Platform| $15.6M raised on: June 05, 2017, 10:52:58 AM
The announcement doesn't mean anything.  All it says is the foundation side of the business is hiring accountants and lawyers to pretend they are a clean business.

Most of the people on this thread are too stupid to distinguish between the foundation side and the business side of crypto projects.  YOU NOTICE HOW THEY ONLY MENTIONED THAT THE "QTUM FOUNDATION" will do these great transparency things.  Well, that doesn't mean anything- the "foundation" is always a separate entity.  Most crypto projects today have a foundation structure and a separate corporate structure.

And it doesn't give me faith that they'll hire auditors- if Enron could hire auditors...it's much easier to hire crooked auditors and lawyers in China- but that doesn't even matter- since they're only going to be transparent with their "foundation" and not the corporation.

This is most likely another tactic designed to pump the price a little longer on their crooked Chinese exchanges.  FACTS Remain:
-Founder is a crook
-This is their first major project- no track record of success
-No working product, not even an alpha on a testnet
-$1.5 billion valuation on vaperware cuz "China is a huge market"...lolol...lots of huge markets and countries out there...China is the easiest buzzword to use to rip people off and pump the price.

Just look at all the other good crypto projects out there with much better teams and track records with good product actually released with lots of users worth <$250 million and this crap is worth $1.5 billion with no product, no reputable team?Huh?  Looks like a Chinese scam with his buddies on the exchanges involved in pumping the price.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Guncoin(GUN) - New NeoScrypt Algorithm on: June 05, 2017, 10:06:54 AM
Oh. If it's new type of blockchain, it might make sense to start from scratch. If it's compatible, then a fork would work just fine. You can't, for example, fork now and then migrate it to a token on ETH. You will be creating a brand new token.

Perhaps a smart contract that takes a snapshot of the guncoin blockchain, but I don't know if that can work automatically. Plus the addresses look different.

OK, we are in agreement then - so that would be where it makes sense to fork what we have now for one option that fits with existing GUN and call it Guncoin-Gold or GUN1, then create something totally different with another purpose and algorithm and make it Guncoin-Silver, etc. etc. etc. So then we would need the Guncoin exchange to exchange between 2-3 coins or tokens and we have a Guncoin Economic System instead of just one coin.  That is what I envisioned two years ago - there were just not as many options for the second two as there are now.

Like thegeneral said, we are not in any hurry and new things pop up every day giving us more options and probably making it easier.  I am not terribly interested in blazing a new and unproven technology trail at this point.  But taking advantage and making use of the best of what is out there with a new purpose makes good business sense.....

It is my opinion that the era of a small team with little funding creating its own blockchain is over.  Devs are going to put coins and tokens on the main blockchains.  It's just economics.  Blockchains (that are good and scalable) are just to difficult and expensive to maintain for smaller operators.  And given the network effects and economies of scale of larger blockchains- people will release tokens/coins on large blockchains.

That is where we are now.  With these new blockchains coming up- I think we should examine them and think about issuing our coin on one of them by year's end.

Are you f'ing kidding me?  100 million coins and some idiots are buying them at $15?!?!?!  $1.5 billion valuation for a blockchain that's not even launched a freakin testnet yet and run by Chinese scammers...LMAO.  Chinese buyers might be this stupid, but I'm staying away from this coin.  This coin has dump written all over it.  If you think this is FUD... I dare you to buy at $15...lol... put your life savings in it at $15 to help these scammers cash out...LOL...and when the launch has its first hiccup in 27 days..the price will collapse.

You really think a team that's never released a big coin before will have zero problems/hiccups?...that this coin is crowned the Chinese Ethereum without crossing the obstacles ETH crossed over years of work and competition with other alts.  I'm not stupid enough to buy this coin.

Should India have its own top 10 coin?  What about France?  Brazil?....this idea that "China" is going to drive the price higher is the stupidest idea ever ...that's not how crypto works...that's how fiat works....and these Chinese scammers behind Qtum are definitely making fiat $$$!  I don't think governments are going to start promoting cryptos against other cryptos.  Government promoted coins would not be worth much in the crypto world- and if your reason to buy this coin is that China is behind it....you are super extra stupid.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Guncoin(GUN) - New NeoScrypt Algorithm on: June 03, 2017, 03:45:10 PM
There's bancor. Create your own coin using chatbots. As of this post, they have yet to conduct their ICO.

Yes, there are lots of good options.  We can wait a few months- and issuing crypto is just going to get easier and easier.

But Bancor and the rest won't be live until the end of the year.  And the way Bancor works is that you have an option to issue coin on Bancor- but it issues ETH in reserve at first- so it will first integrate ERC20 tokens probably- again an argument for ETH and ERC20.

Again, I feel issuance is the easy part. We have to figure out the best use case I think and increase adoption.  Gold, silver, STL files, pooling 2A reserve fund contracts, etc?

Whatever we do- we have to make sure we have a community and are not a low volume coin- we don't want to get in that death spiral again where we get delisted off exchanges and volume collapses.

This project is starting to smell like shit the longer it's out in the open.  I don't know why they're being vague with the cap.  No shit- we know crypto prices are volatile.  But the idea that you can't even get yourself to give us a guarantee that it will be below $30million USD fiat- which is the standard for your type of project...gives me PAUSE

Starting to think the people behind this don't care about long term success of this project.

The cap will be announced closer to sale, as stated. No one will be able to buy in the sale before the cap is set, and announced, days in advance. There will be no mystery on the cap, you will have ample time to see it (days in advance) before the sale goes live.

Is there a reason why no guarantees of at least a certain fiat limit?  Like....hey guys- the cap will be something under $30 million.

so the company is fake? never run any activity ?

They have no product to demo or show.  It's the same lady giving all the interviews.  Of course it's a scam.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Guncoin(GUN) - New NeoScrypt Algorithm on: June 03, 2017, 07:59:09 AM
ETH is "centralized" ... you sure you want that for a coin meant for firearms? And why even bother getting "smart" when a regular "dumb" coin will do, at least it is our own blockchain, not dependant on some 23 year old Russian immigrant to Canada who can fork the chain at will.

Agreed, LOL, my thinking exactly - you would be nuts to try that with any other coin than GUN that wants to be decentralized, even though some keep trying to push it to be a one man show....

I agree about ETH- it was forked and not stable and run by a dude in Canada...LOL.  But it's very functional right now.  That can of course change.  XCP on the other hand is built on BTC blockchain and almost impossible to fork or censor- but has the same high tx costs and data/smart contract limitations as BTC.

And also, I wouldn't worry about ETH, because it is becoming easier and easier to migrate tokens/coins to different blockchains.

We should really think about the most useful applications before going ahead with smart contracts, data file storage on a new gun blockchain.  We could also fork a blockchain like ETH and create our own blockchain like Ubiq did...but that has limitations too- we don't have the resources to maintain a complex blockchain ourselves.  It takes resources and the blockchain we fork from will always have an edge.

Option #1
So we're back to ETH or Waves or something.  I'm a proponent of ETH because it's widely-adopted ERC20 token will be easy to work with and transact and do what we need and low tx costs and very functional.  If you look at Vitalik's history, he is very anti-censorship and is continually molding ETH in that direction.  I know the fork was a huge issue.  But I think the trend in crypto is the emerging ability to painlessly move to a new blockchain.  If you look at new projects you will see it's becoming easier and easier for coins to switch to a new blockchain if the old one no longer meets their needs.  A good example was Storj.  Storj got off XCP because of high tx costs and pretty seamlessly moved to ETH.  They just gave the old coin holders new coins and had a ETH token offering.  So if Vitalik decides to try to censor us or cave to certain people- we can get up and move our blockchain to ETC or somewhere else.  But, I don't think he'll cave to authorities.  He's Russian...LOL...he's not a huge fan of globalism- probably why he's in crypto anyway.  But, if he does- we can move our blockchain to another platform.  And ETH will be super easy- we can make multiple ERC20 tokens- GUN-Gold, GUN-Silver, GUN-CAD (for STL files).  The great thing about ERC20 is that it's super simple.  And it's a standard, meaning you can keep all these assets on an ETH wallet, it's super easy for exchanges to list them.  The pros really do outweigh the cons with ERC20.

Option #2
The other option is to go full steam and build a new blockchain ourselves and focus on privacy and anti-censorship properties- like a Monero version of ETH.  There's Siacoin and MAID that are trying to create censorship proof data storage solutions.  Maybe we can try our own- but again, this second option is dev heavy- we need devS and resources.  But the payoffs will be there too.  This option is really hard.

So, anything?  What are we going to do?  No interest from DefCad, I emailed them.  How are we going to move this coin forward.  Migrate to ETH and set up a smart contract blockchain?

So the earliest the WTT token will be issued is August 7 2017?  What if the crowdsale finishes early?  Is August 7th still the earliest?  Or will the token be distributed earlier.
