One way or another, it will likely be shut down somewhere in the future. And i dont want to be in btc when that happens, tricky part is to know when to sell and not be asleep or something.. For now i just went back to btc.
You are playing safe, which is commendable, but if you are long-term, a big gamble. The news recently has been huge and Bitcoin is spreading throughout the world like wildfire. You are passing on the chance to ride it up because of a possibility to catch a dip caused by something that might not ever happen.

Does it really matter whether your recent average price is 400, 600 or 800 when it is most likely going to quintuple digits this year?
Yes! Must own all the coins before it's too late!!!

Right time for bed. Made about 5% extra BTC today, and even though I can see it sliding a little further, I sleep better holding BTC. Enjoy everyone!
Well played, and well said

WTF. These panic sellers are gonna get burnt, right?

Where did the rally go? Wasnt there supposed to be money flowing into the exchanges today.
I guess there's a delay. My deposit still hasn't gone through. Usually it would have arrived by now.

I think now is still the time to sell since Chinese exchanges begin to close. They will announce the closure at least one week earlier if they really care about their users.
The big dip is coming.
The Chinese are the biggest savers on the planet. The reason they are buying so much now is because they realise it is their last chance to do so easily.

bitcoin is much more that just a payment processing platform. please listen to this, I found it brought me back down to earth a bit and made me reconsider/remember why I'm really in this game. especially the second half where that Andreas guy is talking about his different experiences at various conferences. http://letstalkbitcoin.com/e72-powerful-perspectives/Agreed! Excellent share, thank you. I encourage everyone to listen to this, starting from about 33:00.

i think many guys here are really calm holding bulls because they bought under 10 USD...so it is little bit more easy to hodl i think...
It's irrelevant at what price you bought for deciding whether or not to hold an investment. It depends on the person. I have more money than I have ever had in my life invested in Bitcoin. Had I earned that money through a regular job, there is no way I would consider putting it all into Bitcoin. But since it came so easy, it wouldn't hurt so much if I lost it all.

Super bullish but I can't get my money to Bitstamp until Wednesday Same happened to me and the price shot up before it went through. In retrospect I wish I'd swallowed a modest localbitcoins premium. Might be worth thinking about if you think the price will continue up. Thanks, I will look into it. I agree, swallowed it at 142.50 a coin back in october.. thank god cause it was in the 300s by the time I was verified and had money in CaVirtEx I don't think localbitcoins is going to be much help for me. I am in the UK and just received £30k to spend on behalf of my father. My bank lets me transfer a maximum of £10k per day internationally, hence Wednesday. That's 3 days, and 3 urgent SEPA transfer fees (= £90). Fuck banks.

I don't think it's going to slip so low.
Yeah, slipping up 10x in 1 month is normal, but slipping down is not. It slipped up for good reasons.

stay calm relax the bears are trying to spook you again. Whether or not the price as of now is over valued can be debated but we all know this is still relatively cheap coins. I don't see anything really stopping the adoption risk takers are still seeing this as a golden opportunity. The system has money coming in via investment in to the infrastructure of bitcoin you wanna sell now so you can buy low on a possibly crash to the 400 consult your crystal ball and make a choice. Otherwise I'll think about selling by june 2014, the time I pegged 1k/BTC back in October.
Nice insight. I don't think it's going to slip so low. If I had sold higher I would be buying back in very soon. The people selling now are going to get burnt.

Looks like we'll be going down more... Must... wire... fiat... to... Bitstamp Already on it. I hope it doesn't recover too much before I can buy!

I hope that the community and eventually the media start refering to value in terms of mBTC. A lot of my friends would invest but they think that a coin is too expensive for them.

Noobs.... Turn off your computer go to bed, wake up the next morning and thank me later.
Was about to sell until I saw this. I just woke up. Thank you.

With all these sells there's gonna be a lot of money sitting on the exchanges. I'm think we will bounce back fast at some point.
