122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AI changes the world of Bitcoin on: November 19, 2017, 07:31:18 AM
What happens to Bitcoin if artificial intelligence would become smarter than humans or just very smart? Would it invent some kind of super mining to help humans, hack the system, make it better, ignore it or buy every bitcoin in existence with super bots and became richest in the world and then mess up everything else?
I expect that to happen in 20-50 years from now (if not Satoshi is an AI already). It´s inevitable!

What's the point of messing up things if you have everything?? Is it better to just enjoy your accumulated wealth to a nice and peaceful world than to have a messed up on?? I believed Ai's are already existing as of the moment but they arw just there to satisfy or helpe us people for the better good, we might say that it does not have feelings but the knowledge or the experience that it gained from the transactions it went through will be a weapon for in trading fear is the number enemy, that we can eliminate through AI but sometimes a hunch could change your future. For if you a had hunch witj bitcoin few years ago you might be a millionaire as of this writing.
123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1.5 months left !! what's more to happen ? on: November 16, 2017, 08:37:33 AM
Surely excitement never left us especially every each fork that happens, we can see that old plots are emerging but we hodlers already new what will happen in the end of the bout,we can see it clearly miles away. During these trying times patience, fear, and perseverance are tested, the resilience of bitcoin is what keeps us breathing and that is the reason why we are still here in this forum and reading news and new trends regarding bitcoin. At the end of the day those who HOLD their coins will be the winners.
124  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Ang Sekreto sa Trading on: November 16, 2017, 07:57:55 AM
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoins? Which is safer or more profitable? on: November 16, 2017, 02:00:41 AM
My way as of the moment is altcoin for it has a higher potential to go up exponentially, it is very temptingif you can see that the devs and the community is united. We can bet on bitcoin with more security and stability since it is the front runner and the start of the cryptoworld. New traders can stay on bitcoin first than trade with no experience emotions might caught up with them, learn the market will then trading will be easy for them in the long run. On the final note, if you really believe in a project support it with your whole heart and who knows what it will give you in the end.
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are We Already Back On Track? on: November 15, 2017, 07:57:31 AM
As we expected bitcoin still came victorious despite the attack on it, weak hands showed their color and and that is very much expected for those who doesn't support Bitcoin 100%. We can see that manipulation of prices are getting into the nerves of Hodlers and that we can't blame some for it might be their only possession as of the moment, nevertheless many supporters are smiling due to the strength of bitcoins stability.
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Preplanned strategy of Bitcoin on: November 14, 2017, 08:19:27 AM
There have been very sad and disappointing couple days in the Cryptocurrency world. There has been a large price manipulation because of just a few people.

This is a theory but it can show a lot of evidence that can prove itself as true.

There was a rumour which was posted on July 30, for predicting the price manipulation which happened a few months later.

Was it all predicted before?? the cancellation of the project SegWit2x, Selling the bitcoin, Collecting the bitcoin cash at a low price, Pushing the bitcoin cash at a low price, Pumping the bitcoin cash price afterwards.

What happens now to the Cryptocurrency believers?

This phenomenon is not new to this world, whales will always be whales and that my friend will never change. Predictions are not true for no one holds the eye to see the future and if it is true they might have gain more bitcoin if they really planned it. We just need to play the games smarter, games where in we can rely our future and the future of our siblings with that weight we need to study and master further the game.
128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Transaction Fee Spike on: November 13, 2017, 09:11:59 AM
The network got spammed by multiple small transactions. That basically means you have more competition and would have to pay higher fees for higher priority. It is assumed that the people behind the BCH pump is behind this.

thank you. That clarifies the situation a lot. When can we expect to get back to normal?

Now I see the reason why the fee is that High, hopefully things will get better when it comes to transaction fees. We all know that fees that high can spread fear especially the newcomers in cryptocurrency. Higher fees means fewer transactions, that we already knew from the start.
129  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Millennials and Bitcoin: Nagkataon na uso lang? on: November 13, 2017, 04:27:33 AM
Ang millenials kasi mas prefer nila na may control sila when it comes to their funds, yan ang naibibigay ng bitcoin for you to have your bank and control or govern over it. Mas maganda kasi ang bitcoin compared sa regular na bankingand may chance pa itong lumaki as the tme goes by.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should I invest into? on: November 06, 2017, 04:23:43 AM
I’m interested in investing $2500 should I just put it straight into btc or mining hardware?

All I can say is invest something that you know and knowledgeable about and not to something that is told or suggested by your friend or someone you just met in the internet. We can earn through knowledge and not because it is in as of the moment.
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Australia closer to regulating Bitcoin on: November 05, 2017, 08:18:05 AM
www.abc.net.au/news/2017-10-23/bitcoin-one-step-closer-to-being-regulated-in-australia/9058582

The wheels sure do move slowly over here but they do move.

Bitcoin is one step closer to being regulated in Australia, with Parliament expected to this week vote on a bill to strengthen the nation's anti-money laundering laws.

Key points:

New laws part of Government's efforts to combat money laundering and terrorism financing
AUSTRAC would be given new powers to monitor digital currency exchanges
These exchanges would be required to identify customers more stringently and report suspicious transactions
The value of the controversial cryptocurrency's hit its all-time high on October 21, with each Bitcoin trading at $7,467 (or $US6,149).

That was almost a ten-fold surge from last October, when each unit was worth just $803 (or $US630). But even at that lower price, many people thought the digital currency was "over-valued".

The proposed laws

If the new laws are passed, the financial intelligence regulator AUSTRAC will be given new powers to police digital currency exchanges — where traders buy and sell Bitcoin, Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies.

These exchanges like Independent Reserve and BTC Markets would need to be registered under the new regime.

It will also become an offence for an "unregistered person" to provide digital currency exchange services.

"Businesses that trade digital currencies for money, and vice versa, will be required to enrol and register with AUSTRAC," Justice Minister Michael Keenan said in a Parliamentary speech about the bill in August.

Mr Keenan said these businesses would need to "establish, implement and maintain an AML/CTF (anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing) program".

In addition, they would have to "report threshold transactions and suspicious matters to AUSTRAC, and keep appropriate records".

This is a softer approach compared to China, which banned initial coin offerings (ICOs) last month — a move which led to Bitcoin's value dropping by more than US$1,000 to $US3,226 (on September 14).

Digital currencies and crime

The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) has been a strong advocate for regulating digital currencies.

"Virtual currencies, such as Bitcoin, are increasingly being used by serious and organised crime groups," ACIC said in its report on Australian organised crime, released in August.

"They are a form of currency that can be sold anonymously online, without reliance on a central bank or financial institution to facilitate transactions."

They can be used on darknet marketplaces like Silk Road 3.0 and Valhalla Marketplace to facilitate the sale and trafficking of illicit drugs, firearms, precursor chemicals and child exploitation materials.

They are also the currency of choice when it comes to cyber attacks.

Bitcoin explained

Can't tell a bitcoin from a blockchain? Read our explainer to see how the cryptocurrency works.
The hackers behind the Wannacry ransomware attack, which infected nearly 100 countries around the world demanded their ransom be paid with Bitcoin.

That was also the case with the Petya cyber attack in June, which targeted the Cadbury chocolate factory in Tasmania.

But the buying and selling of Bitcoin and similar virtual currencies is currently unregulated in Australia due to a loophole in existing laws.

The loophole is that the term "e-currencies" is defined too specifically in the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act.

"E-currencies" are defined as "an internet-based, electronic means of exchange" backed by something physical like a "precious metal" (gold or silver), or "bullion".

This problem was pointed out by the Attorney-General's Department's (AGD) submissions in submissions to the Senate.

In particular, the AGD said this specific definition does not cover Bitcoin. That is because the digital currency is not backed by physical assets at all — but by a "cryptographic algorithm".

"This regulatory gap is also having an impact on the legitimacy and public perception of the digital currency sector, which may impede developments or the use of these currencies in the future," the AGD said.
A mixed industry response

There is a "legacy stigma" with digital currencies, and that people unfortunately associate Bitcoin with crime, Independent Reserve's director Lasanka Perera said.

"These new laws would be good for the industry, it will give more confidence to investors, consumers and businesses to enter the industry," he said.

But some digital currency businesses believe that the anti-money laundering bill imposes unduly harsh obligations.

"The proposed legislation will have the effect of requiring KYC [Know Your Customer] procedures of our customers for even very small transactions," said Daniel Alexiuc, who runs an online business called Living Room of Satoshi.

He said this includes small transactions like "paying your phone bill or buying a banh mi (Vietnamese bread roll) for lunch".

Through Mr Alexiuc's website, customers can use Bitcoin and 10 other cryptocurrencies to pay their household bills — as long as they have BPAY facilities like ANZ Bank, Optus and Australia Post.

Mr Alexiuc made submissions to the Senate's legal affairs committee arguing that there should be an exemption for payments under $1,000.

His concern is, under the proposed laws, he would be required to ask his customers to provide photo identification before they register for an account.

"It will kill our retail payment system, and these new laws are completely unfeasible," he said.
The law currently does not require digital currency exchanges to conduct an identification check on customers who open accounts

However, some of the operators who spoke with the ABC said they, nevertheless, ask for "100 points of ID" from their customers because it is "best practice".

The imposition of new regulations on digital currency exchanges may also impose high entry barriers to new entrants.

"There is likely to be an ongoing expensive compliance cost, particularly in regards to ongoing transaction monitoring," said BTC Markets' director Jarrod Crane, who is supportive of the proposed laws.

However, he conceded that: "If this regulation was around in 2013, we probably wouldn't have been able to start our business."

The thing about regulation is that it brings morr acceptance especially for those who are in doubt whether its legal or not. Such a wise act on the part of the australian government for bitcoin is jut getting started who would have thought that this technology would tak world by storm nd change a lot of lives around the globe, not just in financial aspect but also in overall way of living those who supports it. We are just witnessing the beginning of a new era, and I myself won't let myself and my family be left behind.
133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN SERVER IS TURNED OFF on: November 05, 2017, 03:29:39 AM
My friend said he never hold bitcoin too long, because he is worried if Satoshi nakamoto turn off bitcoin server.
What do you think about it?

Main Server is not availabe only in one location or person for bitcoin is decentralised and miners around the globe is scattered to confirm ech and every transaction please read the whitepaper of bitcoin for it will make you understand more what this new technology is all about. Unlike banks that have main servers bitcoin gave the power to the people to control the system in this way no one person can turn off bitcoin in a swish.
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we help our community using bitcoins? on: November 04, 2017, 01:22:41 PM
Do you we can help our community using our bitcoins? How and in what way we can do it? Do we pay taxes for bitcoins?

We can help our community by sharing bitcoin in our community for it provides opportunity to others though they have a limited educational background for bitcoin does not need any diplomas or educational attainment to succeed on it. If you are already familiar here in bitcointalk we can see that it can make a difference in some one's family if one is in it for they can change their life with hardwork and research. Tax in bitcoin are placed in exchanges here in our community (country). Partly we are helping the economy of our country through bitcoin.
135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to grow BTC steadily or safely? on: November 03, 2017, 02:03:42 AM
As we all know that the crypto market can be very volatile and surely we heard many making huge profits while there are also people that lose a lot of money without knowing much about what is happening. Would like to ask for good proven methods or suggestions that can allow us to grow BTC steadily or safely.

*For me it is my first time going into investment and I'm glad crypto is the first one I got into since this year July. Did real-life trading and started small and made some profits. Would like to hear more from the pros out there for more suggestions or methods which I may not know. Thanks guys!

I am altcoins lately, I am growing my bitcoin there while it is still in its conception age for I believe in  that project, I can't suggest this especially when you are aiming for a daily growth but this one is long term goals. Who knows it might hit the moon when the project is finished in its final roadmap. Let's give an example, supposedly you bought an altcoin at around 50 cents, then the price went up at around 25 dollars minimum that is quite a growth, but that is indeed a long shot. Let's just hope and pray for those things to happen.
136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Are Your Greatest Fears As a Bitcoin Holder? on: November 02, 2017, 06:24:11 AM
My greatest fear would be none--for I know that bitcoin will continue to thrive for it is just starting if ever it will shy away from the limelight surely there will be a new coin that it will take its reign. I can clearly see the future and it is bright due to bitcoin, we just need to believe and trust the system, but not to the point of staking your future to it, all we need is balance. Early adopters are happy, so must take an example to their success.
137  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Bakit nababawasan ung number of post? on: November 02, 2017, 03:57:26 AM
Anong reason kung bakit nababawasan ng number of post? dahil po ba nawala na ung thread na un or ano po ba? Thanks.

138  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Novaexchange will close on: October 31, 2017, 02:35:17 AM
Got coins before I received the e-mail, since stayed there for 3 months got no any issues when in comes to my  funds so I was caught off guard when I received the e-mail, the reason is not yet clear to me but it might be business as usual after the new owner will get into the steering wheel. What is important is that they are giving there clients enough time to move their funds and not like others the ran and left no any words and left their clients hanging suspended in mid air.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Satoshi Nakamoto Matter? on: October 30, 2017, 07:52:54 AM
For me of course Satoshi Nakamoto matters to the bitcoin community for he is the maker and very well respected entity in this industry. Aside from the amount of percentage that he holds, he matters for he knows the ins and outs of the system, he knows the strengths and weaknesses of the system so for me in that aspect he really still matters up to this point We are in this position due to him so we should be thankful to him no matter what.
140  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: FAILON NGAYON (BITCOIN SCAM) on: October 29, 2017, 05:23:53 AM
