the halving changed to 2020 or it was always like that?
Had the impression that we'd halve to 5 GIN per block for masternodes this march and not next march.

Where did you get that information?

We are currently at block 255.243 with a 2 min blocktime we should have a halving at 262.800 in about ten days.

Or is the data on the homepage outdated?

Wow, I set up my BWK masternode just a week ago.

That's a new record. I achieved an 80% loss in seven days..... Grin

Hi there,

do I need a static IP address to run the Bulwark secure node at home?

Thanks

Not if you use our supplied install script or have the knowledge to manually set up your masternode over TOR

Thanks Voxterra. Ok I do not have the knowledge currently but will dig into it.

One next question: in a home configuration with the BWK secure home node the Rasberry Pi runs 24/7 to keep the node up, correct? But do I additionally need to run my pc with the wallet also 24/7?

Thanks

Yes, we need one with updated numbers.  Grin

Does anyone know what the inflation rate actually is? Surely it isn't actually over 29% - that seems wayyy too high (even for a relatively new coin).

I understand that new coins tend to have high inflation for obvious reasons - if you're a 2 year project roughly half of your coins will probably be minted in one year (depending on emission curve) so high inflation, but zen is a fork, so inflation shouldn't be all that high given all the existing coins in circulation from the fork block.

It seems very difficult to find historic supply data. I failed to find any but I got this: "There is a total supply circulating of about 3.8 million coins." From here: https://www.coinbureau.com/review/zencash-zen/  This was written on 09. May 2018.

Based on this data we can calculate the 7-month inflation as of 09. December 2018:

Blockreward 12,5 ZEN  and Blockgeneration 2,5 min  (both from white paper)

(12,5/2,5)= 5 ZEN/min => 5 ZEN/min* 60 min* 24 hours*30 days = 216.000 ZEN per month calculated with 30 days. Which makes 1.512.000 generated ZEN for the 7 months till 09. Dec 2018.

Inflation rate = number of new coins per time frame / number of currently circulating coins

Inflation rate = 1.512.000 / (1.512.000 + 3.800.000) = 0,284638554 as a calculated inflation rate per 09. Dec from the 7 prior months beginning on 09. May 2018.

Today is 26. Dec 2018 and cmc shows: 5.454.163 ZEN  So the 29% inflation rate from the spreadsheet is in line with the above calculation.

I actually hoped for a lower inflation because the halving is not really around the corner. On the other hand I believe now is the time to accumulate ZEN. It maybe won't get much easier.

I took the category support  Grin

I really like the 24/7 ticket support. Once my wallet didn't sync and they helped me within 24 hours.

Here you can compare the ZEN inflation to other coins:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-weHt0PiIZWyXs1Uzp7QIUKk9TX7aa15RtFc8JJpn7g/edit#gid=237137882

ZEN inflation calculated around June is 29,23% on an annualised basis.

Please note that I did not check the numbers. Please also note that the halving is not factored in.

What worries me most is that team will be running out of money, and left the project... because this project has a large team o pay and less treasure everyday.
Seems the work of team has no added value.

No added value? Are you aware what they all accomplished in one month?

agreement with Cointigo for ZEN SMS
agreement with netcents
secure node server migration
agreement with Coolwallet
agreement with Huorbi
rollout super node tracking servers beta
and team members in various interviews, road shows etc.

all in November! And you say it seems it has no added value, why? Because the price is down?

Maybe you should focus more on roadmap execution and forget the short term price swings.

I opened a netcents personal account. Unfortunately ZEN is not yet integrated on the wallet side.

These are the available currencies for deposit:

GigaGreed is finally done and once again we were informed by the outside press. Although I took a hard hit I'm glad it's over......

Coins locked. Guess we won't even be able to get our miners.......

On Friday there were about 22.000 securenodes. Today only about 20.500 and I looked for a steady decline but there was none. 1.500 just simply vanished.

Any explanation for this?

It looks like a concentrated transaction of a single whale.....don't like this.

Hi there,

my Arizen wallet *awd file has grown to 2 MB from 45 kB just 4 weeks ago. Is that normal? Exponential growth in that file?

Thanks
