We check manually the posts this week so we will need some extra time before airdrop starts stay tuned
No problem mate - take your time team. It's been an amazing week; no doubt hectic as well. I imagine you are mostly all getting tired - and now you have a lot of counting ahead of you. I am quite sure all of the DO participants are truly appreciative of your efforts - this week in particular. Delay the airdrop for as long as you need.

I just saw DeepOnion on the John Oliver show. What a shot out! They'll be sick a year from now when Deep Onion is head lining on the 50
Yes, I was stoked to hear JO talk about DO even if it was as a good-natured jest. A lot of folk freaked out that he was lightly mocking our project, but I was like, "OMFG, we've arrived !!!!".

Is anyone sticking with old wallets ? Because I got mined some Onion yesterday and then just disappeared even if I update the nodes .
I'm not. In this case it is definitely in the best interest of the DO network that we upgrade to the newest wallet release as soon as we are able to. Also, if you are staking on an earlier version of the wallet there is no guarantee that any Onion you mine will be recognized by the network. Even I have upgraded already, and that's saying something:

You are wrong about this, the gold plated coin is for first 100 people that pledge for 10 or more coins option. So far there are 39 of those so 61 more slot open for gold plated coin... Yes, I was wrong. In my defence, uh, it is not the first time I have been wrong... All I saw when I checked the Kickstarter page was 98/100 - I'm not sure what happened after that, except to say that I became very excited, suspended all rational thought and didn't think before posting.

I've been buying Onion again. I'm not disappointed that they are relatively inexpensive. Bemused, perhaps, but not disappointed. [img]SNIP[img] This is so, you can take advantage of cheap onions to buy, the people who can, meanwhile, the best is HODL, these ups and downs are normal, we can be in difficult times, but remember that many features are missing to integrate. This will increase the value. I agree. I will also add that those that are intending to buy more Onion should only purchase what they are able to reasonably afford - as is the case for any purchaseable item.

a very disappointing day for me. so far i have received every single airdrop. this week i was skipped for not having enough posts on the forums??? i did have enough posts i always check. so, i have either had posts removed or threads were removed that i posted in. now, if threads are removed and i lose posts, how is that my fault? i am not a happy onioneer today Sorry to hear that mate. Perhaps there was a tally error and you will be reimbursed. If it is any consolation, I have experienced similar frustration myself. I missed an drop ages ago (#16 or #17; perhaps a little earlier) when it abruptly occurred quite a few hours before the time advertised (back when the airdrop clock on the first page of the ANN was quite accurate) - goodness knows when the 'crawl' was initiated. I was one post short of the 10 required - and happened to be online typing a reply to someone when the very early airdrop occurred. I felt pretty gutted, stated as much on here politely, and just let it slide. It would have been nice to have heard that my 'issue' had been investigated of course, regardless whether a decision was made in my favor or not. The Dev Team and mods were pretty busy at the time, investigating duplicate accounts if I can recall correctly, so it's entirely possible no-one saw my post. In any case - I decided at the time just to buy the equivalent of the 'missed' airdrop at marketprice, add it to my airdrop wallet, and move on. Hopefully someone of consequence will see your post, check out whether you have reason to be reimbursed, and provide you an official response.

Never heard of Doug Polk until now, but a review of him would be great for DeepOnion to get more attention. And more attention is always good. Doug is among the worlds best professional poker players - a seriously clever man who has forked his high profile poker 'brand' seamlessly into the crypto space. A positive review about DeepOnion from Doug would be a real boon to the DO Project.

Cryptopia is in shambles at the moment. Got 81 onions stuck in a withdrawal stage for 48 hours now. Hope it goes in before friday airdrop as well. Ticket submitted, no reply either. I won't be using cryptopia anymore, next bunch will be either through bisq or kucoin from now on. Probably why the price of onions have slipped too.
Yet another person reporting difficulty with Cryptopia! I've yet to have any problem with them - mind you I haven't attempted to withdraw any Onions for a couple of weeks now. (Coming to think of it I haven't withdrawn any coin or token from Cryptopia over that period either. Is it only Onion withdrawals that peeps are experiencing delays with?). I'll try to withdraw a small batch of Onion tomorrow and report back here what happens. Good luck Sulfyrath - hopefully your Onions will be in your bag soon!

ADOSIA, (whose 'Distributed Ledger Tech Driven IoT Automation Hardware Systems' are very interesting to me), seem to have arrived at the erroneous conclusion that conclusion that the only privacy currencies in cryptoworld are Verge, Monero, PIVX, Zcash and Dash. I quote: "We're developing&have developed #iot Hardware that runs the gamut. All lines of hardware will have the ability to mine $ADA and 1 other #cryptocurrency We lean towards #privacy . If you're choosing what would be your choice? $XVG #XVG $XMR #Monero $pivx #pivx $zcash $dash #xspec" The ADOSIA Project Team should be made aware of the presence of Onion in the privacy space: https://deeponion.org/community/threads/need-a-little-help-in-getting-onion-onto-their-next-poll.29903/

Mission accomplished. Hopefully we will be listed on both of these, though of the two BitIndia seems to have the higher profile at this stage. Exciting times ahead!

We see 840+ members to distribute another airdrop record is coming!
Ugh, I wish I had merit to provide to this post by Deeper. Ongoing growth in DO participation during the acute phase of a global crypto bear market is very, very heartening news. Quite astonishing really!

The bears are doing all they can to shake the Onion (and Bitcoin et al) out of your grasp. They are your Onion. You earned them, you own them. Hodl them tight and buy from the weakhands.

I am as ambivalent about discussing potential exchanges as I am about discussing the price of Onion.
As nice as it would be for Onion to be trading on a large exchange at $50 an Onion that's just not where we are at in the DO Project as yet.
Keep Calm and Hodl Onion. That's where we are at.

deeponion should drop more so i can buy more or stay at this level for sometime.almost jr member I agree. It should stay at this level until my next payday at least! I think it may just be about to pop upwards a few more dollars though. But I'll be buying 'em anyway

I bought onion when it was $3. So happy with my purchase Nice, I topped up my bag a little around that price as well. If Onion happen to have a dramatic decrease in value in the near future I will be topping up my bag yet more.

This is one of the stepping stones I have been waiting for - it's going to make Onion payments so very easy for vendors to use!

|

What an exciting time to be an Onionist! Onion trading at all time highs, a new developer onboard (welcome Harris!) and our precious Onion listed on a decentralized exchange! I am not familiar with Bisq and am looking forward to finding my way around its interface.

There is an informal 'cryptoclub' among my colleagues. I urged them to buy Onion, and/or join the airdrop, when Onion were at 6000 sats or so.
None of them joined the airdrop that I am aware of.
One of them purchased a nice bag of Onion - which he continues to hodl. He and I don't have the opportunity to catch up at work very often - but we grin at each other like mad bastards when we do!
