1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [DIY] auto-hard-reset mining rigs with Raspberry Pi on: August 01, 2018, 11:02:57 PM
Ok I figured out the wiring, I'm guessing LOW(relay light on) = not triggering reset and HIGH= (light off) = triggers reset button. Is there anyway to reverse this?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [DIY] auto-hard-reset mining rigs with Raspberry Pi on: July 22, 2018, 08:10:31 PM
Does anyone know the max cable lengths for the 5v run from the pi to the relay, the gpio runs from the pi to the relay, and from the relay to the motherboard reset pins?

I have my rigs in 3 separate racks and would like to utilize 1 pi in total and 1 relay per rack (3 relays total). The cable lengths from the pi to the racks would be 18 ft, 14 ft, & 16 ft respectively and the cable lengths from the 5v relays to the motherboards would be 3 ft, 4 ft, 5 ft, 6 ft & 7 ft respectively. I'm not too concerned about the runs from the relays to the boards but I'm worried that 14-18 runs from the pi to the relay are too long. Can anyone weigh in?

Does anyone know the json string to send the monitoring password along with the rest of the json string:

{"id":0,"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"miner_getstat1"}

for the ethman api?

I've got a 1080 and 980 on my desktop and I've trying this out on Windows but I am getting:

cuda error: out of memor (errn_um=2)

I have my pagefile set to 32.2GB....and the latest 397 drivers. Anyone else experience these issues?
try to actually select only 1080  with -devices 0 (if 1080 is in primary slot and see if this error still appears). Else try to lower -intensity like 256 or 128

Thanks that worked. I didn't realize it wouldn't work on 900 series. I'm  getting around 540-550 h/s on a 1080.

What exchange is working with the mainnet coins for us citizens? I've tried a bunch listed on coinmarketcap and they either don't accept us citizens or only accept erc20 tokens and not the main net coins. so frustrating
none so far unfortunately

What are we supposed to do with these coins then just HODL?

Getting the same on ETC

ETH: 11/29/17-00:50:48 - SHARE FOUND - (GPU 4)
ETH: Received error: {"id":14,"result":null,"error":[21,"jobnotfound"]}
ETH: 11/29/17-00:50:57 - SHARE FOUND - (GPU 2)
ETH: Received error: {"id":12,"result":null,"error":[21,"jobnotfound"]}
ETH: 11/29/17-00:50:57 - SHARE FOUND - (GPU 0)
ETH: Received error: {"id":10,"result":null,"error":[21,"jobnotfound"]}

on the most shares, whats wrong ?

Also calculated Hashrate on the dashboard dropped by 80%

Seems the pool don't accept the shares :/

Checked Worker Page, 3 Worker working normal all other are makred as offline and all have the same error, jobnotfound

Edit: I deleted now the workers on the Hub Worker overview, restarted the Miner, the error is gone, perhaps this helps

Getting the same errors today on my miners. New issue has never happened tried a few things that seemed to help for a bit but always seem to get back into the rut of stale shares. This is not a network issue the latency between my miners and the pool is sub 50 ms.

I don't understand when payouts go out? I thought it was once your derp reached the dust threshold?

"derp": 1.69e-6,
You know what 10 to the power of -6 means?

I do now. I saw a number greater than 0 to the left of the decimal and got really excited.

So the derp number is my reward in BTC??? I don't see how that's possible I've been mining for 30 minutes and it's at 1.21
Are you looking at your own BTC address? Everything appears to be in order as far as I can see. Only one address is around that reward and it's

I think I might have fried my first 2Pac. AC was out for a week but I had pretty good ventilation and cooling in my room via extra stand fans. But I'm guessing that is the root cause, either way take a look I found some browning area right under neath the two chips.

13  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: June 12, 2017, 03:24:24 PM
I'm thinking about adding more 2Pacs to my setup but I have a Superbpag hub and it's only rated to 14 Amps. I'm trying to figure out how much more juice I need to add more. Am I correct in assuming that the amount of draw I need per port is relative to the clock frequency the chip is running at? I've got the 2Pacs running at 275mhz so per the chart that means if I'm running 8 2pacs then I need 2.4amp draw per port (19.2 amp total) and 96 Watts of power?

"compaq"  Huh

The error sais unrecognised because it doesn't know what that is.

Yeah....I'm not proud of myself right now. Everything I see that I think of Compaq computers.
15  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: June 05, 2017, 08:38:13 PM
Compac != Compaq

Found issue should have looked closer for a bit longer....
16  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: June 03, 2017, 04:02:02 AM
What's too hot for these to run at? I'm measuring about ~58*C at the heatsink. Don't really know how to safely get a measurement at the chip.
17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: June 01, 2017, 03:57:22 AM
I just got my 2pacs going and I am getting a lot of hardware errors on one of them. I read that it could be that I need to up the voltage? But I'm unsure how to I only see how to change the frequency:

I'm new and I apologize if I missed it in this thread, but will mixing the compaq and 2pac yield any issues? I see that you can set the clock rate for either/or/both of those devices in the OP but unsure if this is a suggested setup to run or not. Curious cause I see a few up on ebay that I might try to snatch up.

No issues.   They work perfectly fine mixed together.

Awesome Thanks. One more question, however aimed more to mining and Pi3...I found an old 16 GB Class 2 Micro SD card from my Original Droid phone and it would be nice to find some use for it. I was planning on using it in the Pi3 that will be used for this mining setup. I know transfer rate for installing packages/etc will be dreadfully slow, and I'm fine with that. What I'm not fine with is if it impacts mining at all. Would anyone see an issue with this Class 2 card bottle-necking mining capabilites?
