1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The 'play till you hit it' mindset on: Today at 05:16:28 PM
Of all the gamblers there are, how many people have ever won a big jackpot? I think there are not many. Even though I don't have valid data when I say this, I see it from several gamblers around me. So that is the basis for me being able to say that.

For me, when I continue to play using low bets in the hope that our game will last longer and within that time we can get the jackpot, that is also not a guarantee. The reason is that several times I did this, I didn't win but I started to get annoyed with the game.
I support your first statement and it shows that every gambler should be mindful of reckless spending in gambling, people shouldn't waste money unnecessary because of the mindset that they'll win a jackpot someday, that's why gambling with what you can afford to lose is the right thing every gambler should normalise and should also have in mind that the house would always have the winning edge. And also bro, you don't even need a data to know that not everyone is able to win a jackpot or do it constantly, cause if it where easy then the house would've been losing more than gamblers. Well I understand your story and all I have to say is that gambling is more fun when one wins often whether you play for fun or for the money but then when one keeps having many loses that's when anger, mind-set of chasing loses, hatred for the game and sometimes depression comes in, however gamble responsibly no matter what.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have a habit of tracking your gambling progress? on: Today at 08:28:31 AM
In general, it is very important for a professional to monitor everything that is generally possible to control in their professional activities. And ordinary players who rarely play and only for fun, then they don’t need to bother their heads with such things and programs.
I think  agree with you, those that gamble for fun, see no reason to keep track of their gambling records they feel there's no reason to check since the house would always have a greater edge, that's if they win they win and if they lose they lose, however a professional gambler whose strategies helps him or her to avoid too much loses would often cross-check their gambling history to know how far they're progressing, to see what they're doing wrong and know what strategies would help minimise loses, yes the house have the most winning edge but their are some steps a professional gambler needs to take to avoid too much loses and keeping track of their gambling history is one of them cause if would aid him or her to know their errors and how to minimise it in future events.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 12, 2024, 07:51:29 PM
I really doubt it, because Lamine Yamal is a potential big star for Barcelona in the future. He is still very young, his potential to develop further and become more established will make him one of the top potential players in the world. Even at his current age, Lamine Yamal has been attracted by PSG with a fantastic transfer fee, although we cannot confirm the validity of these rumors. Even if Barcelona were to let go of some of their players, there would still be some who would have quite good value in this transfer window. So, I'm sure Laporta won't do it even if Lamine Yamal's news is true. I read in the last kick, that several Barcelona players are rumored to be on the sale list in this transfer window. some of them are De Jong, Araujo, Raphina and maybe others too. However, whether the news is true or not, what is certain is that some of these players are on Hansi Flick's list of selected players. So far, we have not seen any concrete efforts made by Deco or Laporta. However, I am quite sure that it is possible that the club has a plan even though it is still in the consideration stage. IMO, so far it is difficult to assess the steps Barcelona will make in this transfer window. So, let's just wait for any future developments.

I know that PSG being a money bag team, would come up with a tempting offer that could make Barcelona want to consider selling him, but at the same time I doubt if Barca would even consider a deal for a soon to be 17years old player who's already becoming a world class player, it sounds impossible and what I think is that Barcelona would try to increase his release clause to the extent that big clubs like PSG would keep off their wonderkid. I believe that his performance so far in the Euros tournament has already over impressed Hansi Flick and he'll love to build his attacking line around Yamal. Barcelona might be short on money due to some certain circumstances but their biggest mistake would be letting a star player leaving their team, same way they sold Neymar Jnr and the impact of that was a regret later, however I don't think Yamal is leaving his current team sooner.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Do You Like Best About Bitcoin And Which Coin is Second Best? on: July 12, 2024, 08:28:35 AM
As for second best, I'd say it's Ethereum. It's second best as an investment, it has a big community which makes it seem more reliable than many other coins, and it's been around for a long time as a consistent #2 after Bitcoin.
Some people would think that their's no second best to Bitcoin well they might be partially right cause if you check the community behind Bitcoin and how it's price has attained some certain level, you'll see that there's no other Cryptocurrency that comes closer but then I won't leave out Ethereum, ETH might be no where close to BTC but it has value and it's market value is okay as Well and I believe if Bitcoin never existed, ETH would've been the best Cryptocurrency asset for investment. However, I love Bitcoin for it's transpiracy, it's blockchain is the most confidential block explorer used as a search tool for crypto transactions and I consider it the best Cryptocurrency asset that anyone would think of holding for a long term purpose, I picture Bitcoin as the future of money and we'll see how possible it come be in future.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers➡Group Stage➡1/8➡QF➡HF➡FINAL on: July 11, 2024, 04:37:39 PM
Netherland team was not week but England team played with full strength and full confidence and they gave their hundred percent and after that the players did two goals and England team were dominant in the whole match. Simons did first goal of the match and he provided base for the players to play and won the match . The defenders of Netherland team were not in good form and they  could not stop two goals. England team is perfect team for the final but I think Eng team will  win this match.
So far, that was the best performance by England and they deserved the qualifications, I see many people online claiming the referee was biased and blew a penalty to favour England but I don't think they're right and the referee made the right decisions based on the current rules. However, England's performance was better than that of Netherlands they created more and better chances and really deserved the winning, Gareth South was finally right in his choice of substitutions by introducing Watkins and Cole Palmer who mounted pressure of Netherlands defence to make England the winner and move to the finals. That was a fine assist by Cole Palmer and Watkins didn't hesitate to take his chances, Netherlands defenders would be so disappointed at themselves for letting the defense lose when they could've hold on for few more minutes and play extra 30mins but then their mistake became a blessing for England and they'll be facing Spain in the finals on Sunday, well let's see if they'll lift the trophy.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for your children & future wealth distribution on: July 11, 2024, 08:40:27 AM
I wish I had the opportunity to be introduced to Bitcoin as a teenager maybe I would've started making plans of saving in BTC earlier and would've probably have saved a lot. However I don't think it's a bad idea to save for the future of your kids, especially when it involves saving in Bitcoin which is probably the future of money. There's this method my parents used in saving for me and my kid bro, they opened a bank account for us and deposited 10-20% of their income to the account, and it helped me during my college days, I think I'll emulate such method and instead of saving in bank for my kids I'll open a cold wallet and save some percentage of my income in the wallet, then gradually teach them about Bitcoin and it's concepts then give them access to the wallet when they're of age (18+).
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Act of nationalism or another action of a high-risk taker? on: July 10, 2024, 11:23:03 AM
Drake is known for his risky bettings and staking hugely on underdogs. Previously before his recent lose, the rapper lost about $565,000 on a bet he placed on a professional heavy weight boxer Tyson Fury against Oleksandr Usky, so I'm not really suprised at his recent lose, cause he's lost more than that to gambling, I believe drake is a very wealthy man so such amount won't really affect him much, but I just hope some of his fans don't emulate his betting strategies else they could go bankrupt. It's normal for people to support their country side as patriots but come on, the odds was obviously against Canada winning I checked it before the event started and Canada had 10 odds to win the game compared to Argentina's about 1.30  odds so I wonder why he still went ahead to take such risk and even staked with a heavy amount, it has become an act of normality for drake in taking such risks but in this case it's both nationalism and high-risk taking.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What you need to understand about Bitcoin on: July 10, 2024, 10:16:31 AM
so before using Bitcoin for any serious transaction, you should be well knowledgeable about how the Bitcoin system works and be fully aware of the problems associated with the fiat system.

On a normal, going into Bitcoin without having good knowledge above it is like trying to use a device without battery or power supply. Even in reality, asides Bitcoin the first thing one needs to know before going into any project be it Cryptocurrency or Business related is to get vital information about it, know what you're going into and understand it better advancing into it. In the Cryptocurrency space, many people have fallen victim to scammers and most of the victims are those who rush into a project without having any knowledge about what they're doing, understanding Bitcoin is not very difficult just that most people are too eager to benefit from it without understanding the process. It is when one understands the process that they'll understand the concept of Bitcoin volatility and how to protect their Bitcoin from scammers.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Changing Perception About Gambling on: July 09, 2024, 11:51:36 AM
What country are you from? In my country, the poor will only suffer or work hard. The government are the ones that have the highest payment from the revenues the government are generating from taxes and other sources.

I am a man that think not on one side. This makes me not to hate gambling right from when I know that gambling exists. But I always wish people will understand gambling before they are gambling because gambling is very risky. Only little amount of money like 1% of your weekly income should be as bankroll for gambling.
Then it must be that you're from a country with a bad government structure and many corrupt government officials that loot funds meant for public use, because money generated from gambling taxes are meant for the public, to help establish the medical, education sector and assist the poor just like the OP's neighbour was assisted, I feel bad though cause I also come from a society where the government benefits more from revenue and leave much of it's citizens impoverished. Well, just like you I've never been biased concerning gambling cause I gamble occasionally and asides that I believe lots of people might have in one way or the other benefited from it either through winning jackpots from casinos or profits won by a friend or family member or even revenue generated from taxes paid by casino's.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bolivia lifts 10-year old ban on Bitcoin on: July 09, 2024, 11:21:18 AM
That's a bold step by the Bolivian government, though it took them long to retrace their steps. Well, this must be a relief to the bitcoin enthusiasts in Bolivia who have been secretly trading Bitcoin with fear of being charged by the Bolivian authorities, now they can all carry out transactions and people would be able to include Bitcoin as a payment option for their various businesses, it's a good news for them and I think the next step to be carried out by their government concerning this issue, is to release those that were held by the authorities due to the previous ban. The Bolivian government have made one of the best decision and gradually, every other government that's placed a ban on Bitcoin would begin to notice it's benefits and retrace their steps like Bolivia has done.

Yes, you are very much correct bro, victor osimhen to real madrid is never going to happen, because they have already made the signing of joselu permanent, and spending a very huge amount of money on an injury prone attack is not really a good idea,

Secondly,  just as you said earlier, psg might be his more likely destination, but I believe that Chelsea is also a major contender for his signature,
I support that statement, cause I don't see Madrid signing Osimhen after they recently added Mbappé to their team, if Real Madrid wanted Victor Osimhen, they would publicly made mentioned of it but even before they got Joselu on a temporary transfer, they had been long chasing the signature of Mbappé who was eager to join then but had to wait until his contract expires with PSG to make his move to Madrid much easier. Well asides Osimhen's injury record,  he's a very good player but Madrid wouldn't consider splashing a heavy amount of money for another Eden Hazard kind of player. Also, Osimhen's release clause is very huge and it's something that would chase away many big clubs from signing him. PSG has the money to splash on Osimhen however they haven't been very serious of securing his signature, currently Chelsea are the front runners of the Osimhen deal and they're doing everything possible to sign him including offering Lukaku to make the deal easier, now it's left for Napoli to consider player plus cash or full payment for Victor Osimhen.
13  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin Na For All: But can the 63% Wallowing in Poverty invest in bitcoin? on: July 08, 2024, 04:42:11 AM
First of all sef Bitcoin no be something wey person wey never fit see food chop sef supposed carry put for head, I mean Bitcoin is everyone no mean say if you never feed well then you go come go carry Bitcoin investment as something wey supposed put food for your table and moreover there is always the first hand advice about Bitcoin investment being for people that actually have tangible jobs doing especially the long term holders.
Exactly, I no see any reason why person wey never fit afford three square meals go dey think of investing money wey eh suppose use survive for Bitcoin, that one go be very wrong step especially now wey things done hard cause how long wey the person wan even hodl self before em sell am carry survive? Normally dem they advice people to invest with their spare money so eh no even dey advisable for such person to carry money wey eh suppose use chop survive go invest for Bitcoin. Bitcoin is for everybody no mean say na investment plan for everybody, yes anybody both poor or rich fit transact with Bitcoin or receive payment through am, but when it comes to investment plan poor people wey dey barely feed three square meal suppose stay off that aspects until dem dey financial capable to invest (buy and hodl for long-term).

15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have some people used casinos to hide the origin of funds? on: July 07, 2024, 06:45:35 AM
I think lots of bad actors used those gambling platforms to launder and hide fraudulent money and that prompted the casino/gambling platforms to come up with different policies especially the KYC, that would help reveal the identity of those that carry out illegal activities with their platforms, well not everyone would be impressed with the KYC policy cause some people get affected by it when they win a jackpot or huge money and go through a long process to get their profits, but they should understand that those rules are being laid down by those platforms to protect their company from being used as a tool for money laundering or other illegal activities, so far you can prove your identity and origin of funds then you're good to go, well I understand that sometimes the process is very stressful due to poor customer services by most platforms and that's why most people are not impressed about the KYC policy. However, it's not a bad idea.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has this ever happened to you as a gambler? on: July 07, 2024, 06:16:14 AM
Well I think what normally causes that is being too much addicted to gambling more especially in this virtual side although this virtual bet don really rubbish some many people's too much in gambling bet office that is why I normally prefer to play life bet than virtual bet because among all virtual bet is the most dangerous one and once you are being addicted into virtual gambling it will be very hard for the person to change.
You're right, that's the perfect answer to the OP's question, it mostly gambling addiction that would make someone to continue betting even while their losing streaks is piling up. One of the gambling event that could easily make one to go broke is the virtual bet it's a little more difficult to predict than others and requires one to be very strategic else you might end up losing all your money to it in one particular day. I've never been in such situation and I don't pray to find myself in a situation whereby I'll be stranded in a betting shop cause of addiction, however during my college days I've seen fellow students use their tuition fees on virtual gambling and it didn't turn out good and that's why I didn't even bother going into that line, I'll rather stick to the normal football gambling or basketball which are more easier than the virtual gambling.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers➡Group Stage➡1/8➡QF➡HF➡FINAL on: July 06, 2024, 08:39:29 PM
Turkey also surprisingly are holding the score of this match while Netherlands are trying to equalize as soon as possible before the end of it and falling against another less expected team, beside lowest odds.
Suprisenly, the English team have got to the Semi-finals, they've got a squad that's capable of getting them to that point, but from their performance in the tournament I didn't expect them to reach the Semi-finals however, it's football after all and like they say, anything is possible, thanks to the goal from Saka that got them to embark on an extra 30mins and then to a penalty shootout which got them to the Semi-finals and like you said they'll be probably playing against Turkey or Netherlands. Well it would've been easier for the Turkish team to qualify for the Semi-finals if they've held their defense line for about 15-20 mins more but then they allowed Netherlands to utilize their little chance and Memphis Depay scored the equalising goal for Netherlands and then Cody Gakpo scored another goal few minutes later to put them ahead in the game, Turkish defence line was very losed and I think they've missed the chance of qualifying to the next round.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich or poor gambler, who should risk more? on: July 06, 2024, 10:00:33 AM
While poor and rich gamblers have the same risks in gambling, they must not use too much money. Otherwise, their lose will be bigger and that means they will risks more than other people who knows how to manages their money well. We can't use other people's money to playing gambling because that will gives more problems to us and we will difficult to repay the money to them. Every people who playing gambling must knows how to reduce their risks of losing the money in gambling so they will not gets the problem that can be bigger than they can imagine.
It's only an addict or someone that's very desperate and see gambling as an opportunity for financial freedom that would go to the extent of taking loans to gamble, it's not wise at all an lots of embarrassment when the event they stake on didn't go as planned and their unable to pay their debt. Well, back to the main discussion, I think a rich gambler who takes risk has more chances of survival than a poor person for instance, between a poor person worth $200 and risk it all and a rich man worth $100k and risks same $200 who do you think would survive after that if it goes wrongly? It's the rich person of course so I think rich people are more financial capable and in better position to take risks than poor people when it comes to gambling. However, it's not in anyway right for some to risk taking loans to gamble their are consequences to it.

You cannot protect a player Real Madrid wants for too long honestly, gunner's should enjoy what they have for now because when Real Madrid comes knocking on your door for your hand in marriage, it's either you say yes or you'll live to always regret it truthfully. Jude Bellingham is a good example, you can never say no to Real Madrid and expect them to return for the second time. Kylian Mbappe was lucky Florentino Perez likes/ loves him.

YES! When you look at the age of the defenders in that squad, they're all 30+ in exception of the name Eder Militao. When you watch Saliba's performance for Arsenal last season and this season, you'll see that he is the perfect replacement for either David Alaba if he leaves and also Nacho Fernandez.

With the Rumours of Calafiiori moving to Arsenal, I think I see either of Saliba or Gabriel leaving the team, but if you ask me, I don't think Arsenal should let Saliba leave this summer, he's like a pillar holding their defense line and might leave them exposed if it happens that Real Madrid finds a ways to secure a deal with him and lure him to the Bernabeu, Saliba would make a fine player, especially when Partnering with the likes of Rüdiger or Militāo and even make them more solid, he's the kind of player Real Madrid always go after, a young lad or Veteran player with lots of experience of which Saliba has proved himself for two seasons and counting, but then I still think he has an unfinished business with Arsenal and he's very important for them winning the EPL, Arsenal should try to extend his contract to try keep the likes of Madrid off him.
