3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In times of turmoil, is Bitcoin really a safe-haven asset? on: March 13, 2020, 12:38:50 AM
BTC is definitely not showing well at the moment.  It seems that when things go bad, people flock to the old "reliables" like fiat and 401k's over crypto.  So if something has to go, it appears to be one's holdings of crypto.

Like others have said though, the selling volume really isn't there.  If you just bought recently at $8500, why would you sell today at $5k?  Makes no sense.  As always the weak hands get get flushed first.

A great time to buy though if you have the stomach to move your cash into any asset at the moment.  I for one don't think we've seen the worst of the mass panic yet.

If it's a fake, it's a good looking fake.   Wink

Would actually love for Denarium or other coin maker to put out a current version of this coin, albeit not in the 25 BTC denom.  Just a nice looking piece to own and peeled versions are hard to find.

That said, if anyone has a peeled example they'd like to sell, hit me up!

Either really, as long as the blanks are from long standing members.  Too many sketchy blanks floating about now.

As the title suggests, looking for peeled cas coins.  Will consider blanks from long standing members.  Escrow if fine.  PM with details.

If you aren't already a member here it can be a little intimidating trying to buy something off this forum.  Especially if you are interested in crypto, but still transact primarily through fiat and use custodial wallets like CB.  The idea of escrow is also pretty foreign to most and scams are a plenty.  So not only do you have to trust the seller, but also sending your money to an escrow that you have never dealt with either.  eBay is a much safer and user friendly UI, at least for buyers.  For sellers it's another matter entirely, but the topic is how to encourage more buyers to come and shop here.  Just not sure this will ever be the best option for newcomers unless a better experience can be created for buyers.

Are you accepting escrow? Also, can you share a little backstory of your company and where these watches are being made?

We can surely accept escrow (provided we have worked with them before) or you can pay through the Coinbase Commerce app via the website.  https://www.jupityr.com/

Our "About Us" and FAQ pages are now live on the site as well, so you can get a little background on us that way.

Watch components are made in Switzerland & China.  Final assembly in China.

Thanks,

17  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Milkspotting on silver coins? on: October 19, 2019, 07:46:44 PM
Meh....just read on their site that they cannot remove white milk spots.  Just hazing and other types of tarnish.
18  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Milkspotting on silver coins? on: October 19, 2019, 03:58:40 PM
If you want to get rid of the milkspotting, I would suggest sending them to NGC and have them treat the coins.  Especially if they are valuable.  They have a process for removing surface blemishes without harming the coin or affecting the grade.

How about a photo with your forum name and date included in the shot.  There are many images on the web that look like these.

I doubt someone would damage his profile for 0.1BTC,

maybe he is busy or some genuine reason

You'd be surprised.  Accounts also get hacked.  Recently I sent 0.03 to someone with way more reputation and turns out he exit scammed a bunch of us for small amounts right around the same time.

People can be shitty sometimes.  I put nothing past anyone.
