The only available pool is stuck for 2 months, yet wallet shows some noticeable hashrate and blocks generating.
xao.pool.mine2gether.com:1777 but bear in mind that this has no development and people are keeping it alive just for fun. The wallet in TradeOgre is dead as well, stuck in maintenance for some reason that i do not know. Well, thanks for the info. Btw, price on the TradeOgre spiked in the last 24hrs. That seems fun, but pretty useless, since you can not neither deposit, nor withdraw. Suspicious, maybe the exchange holds some and artificially boosts the price to lure some people into buying the fake hype. Definitely a possibility. i contacted TradeOgre on tweeter and they replied super fast. It seems that the wallet implementation is buggy and i quote directly from them "Their (XAO devs) wallet software shows negative balance" so until someone fixes the bug they are unable to activate the wallet. Now about the volume, possibly some people with btc in TradeOgre play with XAO for some reason that i dunno. It would be great if this actually gets revived although i m not sure what it has to offer Yes but the exchanges can also drive the price up artificially. Yobit has been known for that for quite a while. They had bots on almost every single coin and they can create buying pressure out of thin air. Don't know, but seems fishy to me. If they had something to do with it they wouldn't tell you anyway, right? not seems, it is super fishy ! my non financial advice is "stay away", there are plenty of other opportunities on this bullrun

Tradeogre says their wallet is not responding well, shows negative balances. There is no chance to contact these guys or girls . Anyway is there somebody who could go on github and resolve that problem? It is bad that this coin is on exchange and not working, I mean very strange. Yes but if you think about it selling this does only make the buyer sad if that person doesn't gather sufficient information or buys for whatever reason. Even if you get the wallet working temporarily, the project is actually dead. The buyer will end up as a bag holder for sure. sounds pretty true

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RIC] Riecoin: constellations POW *CPU* HARD FORK successful, world record

Riecoin Core 0.20.0 released, hard fork information, and new ForumIt has taken some time, but the Riecoin network is now ready for the hard fork, with almost every miner, pool, and a majority of nodes having upgraded to 0.20 RC or planning to do it soon. In order to finalize the fork, the stable version of Riecoin Core 0.20 has been released, and a Mainnet fork block has this time been set. The Riecoin network will hard fork at Block 1482768, or around March 29, which should give plenty of time for anyone still using old versions. Please upgrade to 0.20 as soon as possible! Find the latest binaries here. Exchanges and other services like Block Explorers will directly be notified about the fork. As a reminder, the fork brings an important PoW upgrade, allowing miners to find much more interesting prime constellations and beat records, improves the Difficulty Adjustment Algorithm and implements stricter time checks to make the network more robust, and fixes some protocol design issues. You can learn more by reading the previous news, which also reminders which actions to take if you are still using older versions. In these cases, even though the upgrade should go fine, we always recommend to backup your private keys just in case. If you already upgraded to 0.20 RC, the only thing you have to do is to restart your node with the stable 0.20 version, and you will be ready for the fork. No other action has to be done. One more news, Riecoin now has an official forum! News will starting from now always be posted there, and development discussions will mainly take place here too, rather then being spread throughout Discord, GitHub or other places. The forum will help to organize discussions and make them more open and broad. We recommend everyone interested in Riecoin to join the forum! The Riecoin Forum: https://forum.riecoin.dev/ Thank you for all the great work Pttn ! Link to github wallet releases https://github.com/riecointeam/riecoin/releases/tag/v0.20.0

Is there a guide anywhere on how we can implement from scratch on ubuntu ? There is nobody relevant to answer you, excepting a newbie not knowing the forum rules and a barber which shills this project on Facebook, in the free time he has between two haircuts. OP of this thread - Webdollar.io was last active on May 11th, 2019, therefore there are very low chances for OP to come here and answer you. Actually, i found one here --> https://webdollar.aji.ro/webdollar-mining-with-windows-terminal/ and migrated the node to a windows machine. a bit sad though that my ubuntu implementation broke, had it running since the beginning of POS from what i understand if you upgrade npm from 8xx to 9xx (if i remember right) the node implementation breaks can you please elaborate what you mean about the Loft pool cause that's the pool i've been using to stake most of the time ?

After a while i decided to move the wallet to a machine with much better specs (i actually use it atm to mine Veil with CPU - Win10 - Ryzen 9 - 16 GB Ram - m2. SSD), no other wallets are running in this current machine and so far the wallet is running smoothly, no crashes, no errors, receiving stakes normally.
i dunno if the above info is helpful but i hope it made the situation a bit clearer for you.
I don’t think it’s about faster CPU and RAM. If you mine your never shutdown neither wallet nor machine, right? Probably this is why no such crashes as was described in my post. As it was already said the problem may lay in the "partial" wallet's shutdown with its process remaining active in background. Nevertheless time is needed to check this assumption. It doesn't matter if you dont turn off the wallet, it might crash anyway. At the previous machine the wallet was working 24/7 as well due to staking but eventually it was getting crashed by the same error that you get, although, you're not completely wrong, cause some times it was crashing after reopening when the machine has previously rebooted-restarted (due to updates or whatever). In the machine i have it running now, in which i both solo mine and stake veil, so far it works ok, this machine reboots as well but so far no issues have occurred.

When Veil team will bother itself to make a wallet that could work? My 1.1.0.1 worked couple of weeks and now reports the following error. "MinGW runtime Assertion: Assertion failed! Expression: pindexWalk-->pprev" Looks like I need to download the fresh snapshot of 18 GB to get it work 5h 26m left to download... to see if this will work around. Apologies about that. Using a snapshot is the right solution if you get that error. One way to reduce the chances of that error is to make sure to shut down the wallet itself before shutting down/restarting the computer. I am doing it all the time when using the wallet but now starting to suspect that sometimes it doesn't fully close itself and relevant processes remain running in background. Need to check this suspicion. BTW, after downloading the current snapshot and replacing the content of four folders (sure you know what I'm talking about) wallet is in working state again. After the upgrade of the wallet to the latest version i had exactly the same problem, however, i had the wallet installed in a machine (Win 10 - i5U - 8GB Ram - SSD) along with other POS wallets. Every time the problem appeared i solved it by deleting the appropriate folders and placing the latest snapshot in their place.

Hey we have a problem with the current discord. People don't have permission to talk which is a bit against the point of having a discord, don't we think? We want people to be able to talk and be involved but instead it's like only a handful of people have the power to converse. Doesn't seem right to me. Either it changes or I'll make a new discord where everyone is welcomed to speak.
as PttnMe stated above, you just need to make a post first to be "activated" for antispam reasons. Everyone can participate in discord, feel free to bring your ideas or suggestions
