Yeah how did they get your ip from a reddit post? Unless you typed it out yourself.

user ip is the same of mining Admin can see it
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / I was banned from NiceHash Miner you know why? on: August 09, 2018, 01:48:41 PM
so, just after I post on reddit r/NiceHash that I was going to turn off my rigs for low profit , guess what happens.. my ip was banned to mining

Do you know what I was told after I opened ticket on support? "We suggest you disable your CPU" did they tell me to turn off my rigs? That's right ?

Be very careful what you write there!

I'm mining but I'm not going to say how to protect myself

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: December 29, 2017, 09:21:18 AM
Has EWBF been on here at all? It's a great miner but it needs an auto-restart function. I think his competition is still actively working on their miner. If he doesn't do some improvements, I think he'll start losing money.

He hasn't been replying on this topic for months, but seems to connect since his last activity is today, quite odd. And i agree, dtsm is already there, and just a couple improvement like backup pool, will make EWBF obsolete for most miner, even with the mandatory 2% dev-fee.

I think dstm and ewbf are the same person. Once the community discovered how to disable fee from ewbf, magically dstm miner appears with improves speed but devfee inside

Possible, but the fee option from EWBF has been around a while and dtsm is pretty new, also the coding and engine of the miner look completely different. But it can be ! we'll never know :p

miner auto-restart activated IF 0 Sol/s >10sec  can't be more simple!

Hi, I bought the Enterprise version.
I've used it with different miners with no problems. Only mining with autoswitch that could not make it work in any way.

My doubt is:
I use the NHML (Nicehash Mining Legacy). I installed the AM agent and tried to connect the miner, also ip, however unsuccessfully. How to make AM just see Nicehash mining?

I'm currently using AM just as a monitoring my rigs of which are managed by NHML 1.8.1.3

Thanks
I assume you are using External Miner concept in Awesome Miner to connect to the mining software started by the Nicehash mining software. In order for this to work, the mining software must have API enabled and you need to know on which port the Nicehash software uses for this. Once you found this information in the Nicehash software, it should simply be to connect to the IP and port from Awesome Miner.

I have the API but it's from the website (it's just one API for all miners together) , local software do not have one, how can I insert this API in the AM software so that I can monitor my rigs?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: September 21, 2017, 05:38:52 PM
For some reason only the sgminer miner can not see my AMD rx580 gpus, even though AM has mapped them. Afterburner and Afterburner Server running.
This problem does not happen with Clamore's. When I try to do benchmarking Clarmore gives me the results but the sgminer is closed as soon as it is opened by not identifying my gpus.

I've already reinstalled both the remote agent and the AM, I tried to install new miners, I tried to send a new mining engine

Thanks

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash Miner - easy-to-use best-profit multi-device cryptocurrency miner on: September 13, 2017, 10:32:09 AM
So I downloaded Ccminer and I started mining nist5. The stats page says I'm earning about 2,5 euro a day. That's nice.

So then I do a clean install of the NiceHash app. It says Lyra2v is the best algo... at 1,9 euro a day. Why is this?

Also, why is Nist5 not an algo listed in my NiceHash. I'm using a single 1080 Ti and it only gives a few algo's. Why is that?

If you install NiceHash Legacy Miner 1.8.2 it has the Nist5 algorithm as an option to mine.  There are some other additions as well, so it's very much worth the time to check it out.

I'll try it, thanks.

Edited: Why isn't x15, x13, quark, ... among the options? I've been using NH for weeks and weeks; I get the feeling that I might have been missing out on getting the best $$$ for my GPU/time.
Is there a way to add more algo's manually? To the legacy version?

To the nice folks at NH. Please answer my question.

Why aren't x15, x13, quark, Nist5, .. and others included in the NH mining software when there are clearly pools for these algos at NiceHash? There isn't even a benchmark for the "missing" algos. Without a benchmark, how does the app know what algo is the most profitable one? The app always says lyra or equihash is the most profiting algo, when in reality, other algos earn me more at other pools. I get the feeling that you "want" me to mine equihash or lyra with my 1080 ti. Is this to supply the buyers? That reason might be more $$$ for you and less $$$ for me.

I'm sure there are a lot of people like me who still "trust" the NH app and "think" they are getting the max out of their GPU. I feel like my time got wasted using the NH app. Am I wrong? Thank you in advance for your replies?

You are using the wrong version. Download and run NiceHash Legacy Miner, not the old version 1.7.# or whatever, nor the dumbed down NiceHash 2.  With the Legacy miner you get all those other algorithms and it's by far the best version to use in my unhumble opinion. Smiley ---- https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashMinerLegacy/releases

I tried a few legacy versions, some algos aren't there. And even if they are, why use old legacy software? There's a reason why software is legacy, I guess?

Why aren't the algos present in the latest version of the app? People are most likely to miss out on profits because the app is not showing/mining in the most profitable coin. I still get the feeling the people behing NH want us to mine whatever they need to supply the buyers.

You think? They make their 6% fee that way...

You can choose any algorithm you want to mine, with just one click. Very different for example from Ethos. In fact the NHML is mining with more profitability and less energy than Ethos. Tested in 2 rigs exactly the same Go to Whattomine and check it out! Stop crying

Any plans for NHML for Linux?
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash Miner - easy-to-use best-profit multi-device cryptocurrency miner on: September 13, 2017, 10:14:14 AM
The purpose of the benchmark is to find out what hashrate your hardware is capable of with each algorithm in order for the auto profit switching feature to function. Without benchmarking the hardware that feature can't function since it has no data to base it's calculations off of.
Yeah, but if I have 8 identical cards, NH insists in running the benchmark on each of the individually.  I wonder why there is no option to tell it to only run the benchmark in the 1st card.  I wonder if it could have anything to do with the fact that when you benchmark, all the hash goes to an internal NH address and not the one you have defined in the client...

It doesn't matter if you have identical cards, they will not all have the exact same hashrate by default. Due to asic quality, silicone lottery, cooling (your middle GPUs tend to run hotter) etc... the hashrate will be different on some of them.

not enough to make a difference..

you can however run the bench on one card, go into the settings and set the speed manually for each card.

Strongly agree on this. When I used Nicehash, this benchmark of same cards was really a pain. With new version and new algos added I'm guessing it could take up to 2 hours for a rig with 8 cards. Do you think everybody has 2 hours to stand and look how Nicehash is benchmarking cards?  Roll Eyes

On NiceHash Miner Legacy! On benchmark window on the list just tick one box (gpu #3) do the benchmark, go to the #1 gpu click the right button on top of the gpu and choose to copy from #3 do this to other gpus, it works perfectly. Do not recommend making the reference benchmark with GPUs # 1 and # 2

I imagine that mining is not possible with AMD and Nvidia in the same Rig correct?

Yes you can mix cards.  I am currently running two 570s, two 580s, a GTX 1070 and a GTX 1060 in one rig.  The only problem I had was with each RX card I added I had to uninstall and reinstall the AMD driver before Windows would work with all the AMD cards.  Nvidia cards are so much nicer, they just work, no BIOS modding or anything.  If 1070s were < $300 that's all I would use.

With Nicehash software there is no problem, so my be is not s a driver problem.

Sorry guys I'm just trying to improve your product which is already pretty good.

I would like to bring your attention to improving the auto profit switching for the most profitable currency in a 24 hour time frame. Why, Nicehash has this time frame to make the payment (also Whattomine have this time frame) then if the most prof. coin X is mined in 24 hours the payment related to that time frame/coin will be done. So the profit can be reviewed every 24 hours, I do not know if I explained my self clearly probably not. Is just an idea, this not mean i'm right.

ps: What I see in my tests for some reason the auto profit switching for the most profitable currency some times getting stuck in the previous currency when clearly Nicehash and Miningpool pools already has other more profitable coins, even after long periods of 24 and 48 hours. ( I set to check every 30 min)

Please someone could refer an IOS app for the use of the AM API?

Thanks
If you are using the web server feature of AM, then any web browser will do.  If you mean a true app that interfaces with the AM API, I'm not aware of any.  If you are a good IOS or Android app developer, then I'm sure that would be a neat revenue stream for you.  Patrike encourages other developers to create bolt-ons.  I'm considering diving into a bolt-on for data mining analysis.
It's correct that the mobile web is the only option right now, as there are no mobile apps. As puwaha pointed out, anyone can develop applications and apps on top of Awesome Miner using the API:
http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/api.aspx

The Awesome Miner web interface is built on top of this API.

Thanks again,
If I have a fixed IP it's easy with DNS, I do not like the idea of having to install a DNS ip monitor. At the moment i'm using TeamViewer isn't good to manage it
I'm sure have seen app that work with API, I have to find them again.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: September 11, 2017, 02:25:44 AM

Thank you!
Everything is working as expected. One of the problems was Windows Firewall.
The concept of profit switch is very crazy, in a few minutes I have mined more than 7 different coins. I set to update profitability every 1 minute for testing. If the numbers I am seeing are true my profit will go up ~10%. I do not understand why the big miners do not do it.

Quote
I caution you to be careful about your estimations.  I know you are just testing with a 1 minute profit switch, but you have to realize that you are only mining a profitable coin at that instant.  By the time you go to exchange with your accumulated coins they will not be at the same level of profitability.  If you are just accumulating various coins to exchange later when the exchange rate is high, that's fine.  But... If you are depending on pool auto-switchers, or pool threshold minimums sending to an exchange, then you will more than likely miss your "peak profit window" unless you have a large group of miners to accumulate enough coins to get there in time.

Also, you probably already know this, but a profit switch time of 1 minute is too low.  You will lose valuable time in that 1 minute window while the software is switched, and the GPUs ramp up.  Depending on the algo and software, it can take 30 seconds or more to really ramp up, so you could be losing 50% of your potential earnings by ramping up every minute.

As always, do your own real-world tests, but I think you'll find what I'm saying is true.  Most large farms don't switch so often, and go for consistently strong coins most of the time or diversify across a set of the most profitable.

yep I know about it, I would like to see if changes and not freeze. I set 30 min to see, I will change to 24Hs, but I still deciding what to do
I am seeing many inconsistencies, I have other rigs with high profits that AM is not replicating.
Mining interface offline happening very often, this ends with the calculations
Every time I do a coin benchmark, this coin begins to be mined. But not necessarily is the most profitable.

Quote
I do not know if I'm correct, but is it mandatory to benchmark one or all of the GPUs so that the profit profile correctly chooses the best ratio?

Quote
I would say yes, because the default values that come in the built-in profit profiles are very rough estimates.  There are many factors that will cause your GPUs to be higher or lower than the default values... GPU silicon lottery, over/underclocking, and general system performance to name a few.  You want your real-world values to be in the profit profile, otherwise AM can make a wrong decision for you.  FOr instance, if you don't set your true dual-mining Dcred value, then AM may decide that your ETH+Dcred values are very high and start mining with it... thinking it is the most profitable when it probably isn't.

benchmark should be mandatory soon setting up a new miner for each gpu

Quote
It is possible in the next versions to include Ratio counter: x.xxxx BTC/Day because this is the only way to make profit comparisons between rigs and GPUs of different currencies and MHs, Hs, Sols, GH / s

Can you explain this a little more?

Exemple of one of my rigs

Quote
When mining with EWBF Zcash, the interface (my miners) goes offline but still mining, I do not know if this is a bug but it always happens.

Quote
I've seen this happen from time to time as well.  I haven't verified this, by my suspicion is that the rig may be taxed a bit when this happens.

now it's happening a lot, I'm mining ETC and LBC at Nicehash as exemple

Thanks for the feed back, I will continue with the tests here
