but it could also be fake.. or insanely hard to solve.. I want to belive this is true though.. let's wait until btc reachs to 1 million so more hunters will come
2  Economy / Exchanges / Re: NegocieCoins and TemBTC potential scam? on: May 16, 2019, 10:59:46 AM
Excellent! It is funny because it is exponential and eventually, people will be making like 1 million per arbitrage cycle.. I am curious about how this is going to end..
3  Local / Brasil / Re: Volume NegocieCoins on: April 27, 2019, 08:40:59 PM

5  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Are nonces predictable? on: March 28, 2019, 12:52:01 PM
Given all answers, I think it will be better to use random.org :/ thanks, everyone
6  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Are nonces predictable? on: March 26, 2019, 05:20:30 PM
Nonce seems to be "random" enough, but few block analysis mention otherwise. Quoting from https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/q/24650,

Edited: Apr 18

I wrote a small program to collect some statistical data. From recent Dogecoin block #186,299 to #145,000 (the last mandatory update)

total 41,300 blocks

    number of odds = 3,891 (9.42%)
    number of evens = 37,409 (90.58%)
ratio of odd to even is about 1:10
Among the evens, the number of multiples of 256 = 35,106
        85% of total
        93.866% of evens

Update: 4/20

I recently also checked the nonces from block 552,780 to 253,898 of Litecoin.

totally 298,883 blocks.

    number of odds = 42,963 (14.374521%)
    number of evens = 255,920 (85.625479%)
Among the evens, the number of multiples of 256 = 225,746
        75.529890% of total

Depending on your game and whether money is involved, using nonces isn't good idea. Set a number before game started and hash it with salting to keep fairness is better idea IMO.

Good info..

You guys could point me a better option though.. The idea behind this game is to select a winner (or more) from a list of particpants. The game would announce something like: "we are at block 568903 - result at 569000 (using nonces as seeds from block 568996 to 569000)"
Using multiple blocks would avoid nonces comming from only a miner, right?

This way we would have deterministic results from the algorithm.. The problem is the seed origin.. so I thought that nonces could be usefull..

Any thoughts?

hypothetically I could forge game results.. by using nonces, I couldn't
7  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Are nonces predictable? on: March 26, 2019, 03:09:08 PM
So making a sum with like 5 block nonces would avoid this possible attack vector I suppose.. I just want to make sure that no one can predict results in a collective game.. Just getting some thoughts
8  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Are nonces predictable? on: March 26, 2019, 02:30:18 PM
In a hipotetic game that uses nonces as seed I mean.. would it be OK to use nonces for this purpose?

I wrote Natasha Otomoski on youtube and this single video came out. I do not know if it helps solve the puzzle or not.  Grin

can you code a simple crypto game?

Yes, I can
11  Economy / Services / Re: Doing small programming services in Python - Fair prices on: December 14, 2018, 08:20:49 PM
show something you did lately

One of the purposes of this topic is to build a portfolio \o/ .. So my github only has a tipbot for Tangram testnet.. Last thing I did that is a little bigger is a flask platform for friends, but it is not on github. Currently I am working on a triangular arbitrage bot for binance.

14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I GOT HACKED AND LOST 1 MILLION on: December 11, 2018, 11:48:47 AM

this is surprising - when I checked the wallet with virustotal it did not show me any backdoors or viruses. Since I deleted the files (in panic) I only have the download links now. But I think your check is accurate.

they must have obfuscated the code.. only after the hack their signature was added to virus total db and such.. the probablity that other people got hacked from this same wallet is high!

Hope you don't leave crypto after this.. as other member said, you are healthy and still can make money!

17  Economy / Services / Doing small programming services in Python - Fair prices on: December 07, 2018, 05:02:31 PM
I will program things in python for you.

Prices range from 10$ to 100$. I will accept any Top 20 CMC Crypto as payment.

Things to keep in mind:

* I'm still a Junior programmer so you wont get any super hyper great code from me.

* You can pay me after the job is done.. if you don't get satisfied enough, you don't need to pay.

* for this price, I'm not able to create huge plataforms for you.. just small things. but ask me first in Telegram so we can discuss what you have in mind.

* telegram bots, discord bots, trading bots, small web plataforms in flask are some of the things I can make.

Feel free to get in touch with me in Telegram: https://t.me/marciksz, PM or comment in the topic
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how much would you pay for a lottery ticket? on: October 05, 2018, 02:01:50 PM
I think I could have risked 25k satoshis and would buy a lottery ticket, but not before I knew:

1. The number of participants / win chance.

2. The prize amount / house edge.

3. The reputation of the lottery.

The 3rd point is the most important imo. If lottery had no reputation it would be more than likely as throwing away 25k sats.

Very good points

1 - few minuts before lotto result, it will be locked.. a list with every participant and its transaction id link will be provided so it's possible to check if all users paid for entering the game.. I think it is a good way to promote the lotto reputation (correct me if i'm wrong, please)

2 - will be provided that too from a command in telegram/discord..

3 - super important lol my next topic will be asking about this: how to increase the lotto reputation
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how much would you pay for a lottery ticket? on: October 01, 2018, 06:50:33 PM
Pretty good advice I heard is the 10% luckiest prize.. Second is the trust.. Will make some research on this topic.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how much would you pay for a lottery ticket? on: September 30, 2018, 09:41:56 PM
2000 sats is non sense at all.. just removed it.. zero means that user would not play a telegram/discord lottery
