2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / A real discussion about 100% unlock on: February 07, 2022, 05:32:09 PM
Ok I'm gonna start off by saying I've read about this on trex miners GitHub. https://github.com/trexminer/T-Rex/issues/991
That is the discussion there. I want to talk about what it takes to induce a invalid share  with each type of lhr card  and what clocks were used. Leave no details unturned. My thoughts are this and I'm no coder by any means but maybe this can be a start to getting Fhr on our cards and giving Nvidia the middle finger. The discussion about this for the people who don't go read the GitHub discussion is after one or more invalid shares the card will unlock and stay unlocked until a computer restart. I would assume if we could get some concrete nbers and whatnot maybe something could be coded to try automate the invalid shares to get it to full hash rate. So go and read the discussion, try it out for yourself and let's get some numbers down on paper.
I personally have been trying 3060 be cards but have been having a problem getting invalids. Others have done 3060ti and 3070
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: June 03, 2021, 04:53:14 PM
I have a Vega 56 card in my Ampere rig.
It's a good card, with the rig timings I can get 48 MH/s using Team Red Miner.
But I can't get past 43 MH/s using Phoenix Miner.
Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? I tried some settings, but there isn't much I can really do, to my knowledge.
I'm trying to switch my rig to Phoenix Miner (I'm using Trex + TRM right now), but I' don't get why I'm loosing so much on Vega.
Any advice?
Thanks for your help.

yes it looks like faster mem timings are not getting applied if you see 42+ vs 48+

I too am having issues with this currently. i can hit 44 but nothing over. if i use TRM i can get 51. ive set the mem timings myself on each. only reason im using phoenix now is im also using an nvidia card in this rig. might put that in a different rig if this cant get fixed up.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Quick question about powertune option in polaris bios editor on: February 27, 2020, 07:38:58 PM
Ok guys have a quick question. I have some gigabyte 570 4gb mining edition cards and I never understood why the max power limit is 90 when the tdp w is 120. Should thst not be reversed? Ive had a hard time with some of these cards and ive always had to raise both of these numbers up to tdp w 125 and max power to 130. Am i wrong in having to do that? Most other cards arent like this. When the card needs to be adjusted it gives me a weird core voltage that adjusts alot along with core clock. If i adjust it them they stay solid. Any advice

i only had it running for 15 mins. been doing some testing and that is why i wanted to ask about the voltage. is there a place i can set it lower? i may tinker around with trying to keep it under 1600w and around 725mhz

taserz i just want to thank you for this mod. im using it on a s9 14th right now and it is getting me to 15.1th with clock at 725mhz. voltage is from a 1600w bitmain power supply running at 1645w so i dont want to push it anymore but i was wondering do you know the voltage limits on these asics? could they go lower than 880? that is what im usiing right now.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Gigabyte 570 4gb gaming card problems extremely low mh on: July 16, 2018, 07:06:31 PM
Ill preface with this im running windows 10 64bit, 4gb ram, 6 cards problem and rig was working fine with everything else on different cards. I have tried both my mod and the stock bios and when i try the stock bios i get about 9mh. I have tried all the usual things like reinstall drivers going down to one card and checking risers just in case. ok so i have tried to fix these cards and im running into a brick wall. i have 6 gigabyte gaming 4gb 570 cards that are all doing the same thing. i have applied my bios that i used on over 50 other gigabyte 570 4gb same ram cards and they work fine but these cards are not. what im experienceing is when i put the bios mod on the card and after i pixel patch and restart i get the system to boot up and into the miner. i can get them to hash but when i put in 1150 for core clock im getting about half that as it shows like 575 but the mem clock is good at 2066. yes thes cards work great at that number with the mod i have. Now here is the strange part i have tried to increase the power tune as they set these cards extremely low 90 max power i tried my settings of top power 150 top amp 140 and max power 160 and that bumps up the core clock a bit but i still have to push msi afterburner all the way up on the powertune to +50 to make it even get in the 1000 area. what am i experiencing and has anybody else had this. if so what did you do to remedy this. i tried the stock bios even a bios from gigabyte themselves and nothing seems to remedy it. in hwinfo it shows over 200w being used which is crazy.

Guys I have a question I'm trying to setup my rig so I can can choose a coin and mine and when I setup monero it freezes on the claymore miner and won't start up. I'm running win 10 8gb ram 1x xfx 580 8gb 1x xfx 570 4gb 2x xfx 470s and 2x msi gaming x 8gb 480s. I already created a wallet and put the right info in the files but it freezes when it looks for cards. I'm using the new blockchain driver and all cards are currently bios missed for ethereum.

What is your virtual memory page file size?
16gb if I recall. I'm not by it at the moment
