1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It is not easy to make money in cryptocurrency on: September 29, 2020, 09:14:02 PM
Believe me my friend, anywhere in the world, it is not easy to make money. If you see any airdrop that promises 100$, 200$, 300$, 500$ and above just for referring peeps, or sharing post online, then it is atmost 99% fraudulent.

Likewise, if you see trade signals that promises certainty, or bounties that promises you a fixed price for your token, be wary. It is not that easy nor realistic.

If your lucky you could sometimes get a good amount in airdrops but not all the time its something that you could make a profit. Investing in cryptocurrency is a good way to earn a profit for a lot of people and investors. But we know that investing in cryptocurrency still has its risk so you need to be risky to lose your investment all the time as the market price is volatile so there is always a chance to lose your investment. So it's not easy to invest or earn a profit even though investing could earn you a big amount just remember to not be greedy because a lot of newbies fall in this method.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using crypto to help the homeless - (for real - with pics!) on: September 29, 2020, 08:53:41 PM
I support your project using cryptocurrency to help homeless people and at the same time helping to adopt the cryptocurrency in a lot of places. Maybe a direct transaction to a homeless is a bit sketchy to make a donation in a high tech way like cryptocurrency but I think something like a organization or charity that is accepting a crypto donation would make it easier to make a donation or transact with the organization. At the same time it is easier to get donation in every part of the world since the transactions is digital.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency for Trading on: September 29, 2020, 08:40:20 PM
The lockdown has helped with the growth of cryptomarket in large scale. This too is experienced in my home state capital. Compared to the past the lockdown months have got a massive increase in the usage of cryptocurrencies on trading. It is true to see most of the tech people around the age of 25 getting into cryptocurrency usage. Particularly most are into trading to make some passive earning as tech giants have come up with big pay cut.

Another important reason for the same is the stocks which weren't that supportive to make some passive income. During the lockdown even the stocks crashed, only the cryptocurrency market stood strong. With the lockdown the city has topped third position in terms of cryptocurrency users and trading volume. Probably this widespread could've happened in the global market too.

Stock investment is not bad in my opinion I have a friend who invested a lot of stock especially when the stock market goes down in the pandemic and he said his earning a good amount investing in it until today. For me, the cryptocurrency is just for investment and not actually for the digital currency used. Trading cryptocurrency earns me a good amount of profit until today and I think its the best way to earn in crypto compared to other methods depending on the volume you are investing in trading the profit is just high.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you trade if you won't leave your coins on exchange on: September 29, 2020, 07:50:20 PM
We are told several times on this forum never to leave your coins on exchange, well I know the difference about low rated exchanges and high rated exchanges and I know that many traders prefer high rated exchanges for trading because of volume and Liquidity but my point is there is no way to be a trader without your coins sleeping in exchange wallets, why? Because sometimes while you are asleep bitcoin can hit a new price target.

For example BTC is trading at 8000$ and I put up a sell order at 9000$, most times this won't happen in an instant, sometimes you wake up the next day and your order became successful isn't it? Now for those saying 'don't leave your coins on exchanges' how do you trade?

For me, its normal no put your funds in exchange for maybe a little bit of time because you could trade and invest in an exchanger. But your still gonna need to have a secure wallet to store your investment for the long term something like a hardware wallet. Or probably wallet just for popular cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other popular altcoins. When you observe some of the exchanges are either getting hack and also closing because it just cannot handle the market when it drops so you don't want to put your funds in exchanges for the long term.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If all BTC Gets Bought Up? on: September 29, 2020, 07:05:25 PM
Thoughts. Seems more and more "whales' are getting into BTC

Many are buying up the supply of Bitcoin. Which in turn would make it harder for other people to get.

IF all the supply is bought up. It would make it very hard for others to get BTC.

Now if the whales are buying Whole Bitcoins etc.

Then the value of some of us who just have 0.00054  BTC  have little value in the long term?

Almost like putting a whole Bitcoin at a million dollars while the rest of us end up with Pennies?

thoughts? or would having  0.00054 BTC have lots of value if all the whales bought the entire supply?

If whales buy a lot of supply of bitcoin that is gonna make the market value of bitcoin increase for sure. And when the market value of bitcoin increases a lot of for sure it is going to be hard for a lot of people to get bitcoin. But in the other hand it has a good effect for the investors that already invested in the bitcoin since bitcoin is going to increases its market value they are going to make a profit and maybe get the opportunity to sell their bitcoin at a good price. Having a lot of investors in bitcoin is a good thing for majority of people.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you store your seed? on: September 29, 2020, 06:25:21 PM
One of my wallet seed is stored separately. I split the seed into 2 papers and I hid one under my phone case and one is in a text file on my pc encrypted with password that is saved and written in another piece of paper lot of work but makes me feel secured because I've been traumatized getting hijacked around 2bitcoins before.

That a good idea I think but seems risky if you lost your phone because you can't open your wallet anymore if you lost one of the copy. I think making multiple copies of the wallet seed is the best option in my opinion. Writing it in a paper is I think not bad personally I put all of my passwords in a personal notebook so that if I need to open a wallet or websites I just need to open the notebook and every password is written in that notebook. That still has some disadvantages but you could make another copy in a flash drive.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin is for day trading on: September 28, 2020, 08:03:02 PM
I see that people support that altcoin suits better for day trading, and not for holding. I just don't get why.

Personally, I agree because when it comes to trading altcoins the buying and selling could profit daily as you need to monitor the movements of the graph and then wait for the right timing to sell your altcoins in the market where you could make the profit. Buying in a high volume of altcoins could easily make a profit in just a small amount of time if you monitor the graph of the altcoin you invested or buy in the exchange. Bitcoin was also a good investment but the movement most of the time takes weeks but also its either a big dump or pump.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forget bounties and Airdrops on: September 28, 2020, 06:21:46 PM
The biggest money making slot in crypto space is to be

1. a developer
2. build crypto wallets for new projects
3. find bugs in the system of many new projects

yes some paid for security breaching and all that stuff, rendering professional services is the best way to make money in crypto space now
Not everyone has knowledge to programming stuff thus not everyone can be a programmer and create new crypto wallets. Finding a bug in a project is not an easy task, as well. So where do you go? bounty. It's easy money and does not take a lot of your time.

Agree but being a developer could give you a big profit in the crypto space as this job has a high demand today because the crypto is also getting popular in a lot of places in the world. But still being a developer is not easy and it would take years of schooling to become a developer. But compared to relaying in bounties and airdrop this job would make a big difference when it comes to profit. Even though there are some airdrops that pay out a big amount, if you are lucky but having a job, is more reliable. It's also good to make an investment because airdrop mostly came from bonuses in projects like Uniswap.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Scams and Government on: September 28, 2020, 04:40:06 PM
Days back one of the exchange in the country came up with a proposal to regulate cryptocurrencies and avoid complete ban of cryptocurrencies usage within the country. When such good news pops out people go positive on using cryptocurrency. By the same time there is a news about an exchange scamming people with more than $60 million.

More than forty people who got scammed have complained about the exchange to the Delhi police. I've never come across the exchange named Pluto. This exchange has got almost seven executives who are the team. It is a new kind of trap, because with the people who doesn't have much knowledge about cryptocurrency they've mentioned about creating their own cryptocurrency and assured of 30% - 40% return monthly. This has made more users to invest and finally ended as a trap, and the office have got relocated to Dubai closing the office in India.

Similar such incidents will be mentioned as a reason by the government when applied for regulated usage of cryptocurrencies. More Scams in the name of cryptocurrency is truly destroying the true quality of cryptocurrency and it's features. Hope the change happens soon creating positivity among common people about cryptocurrency.

Source :

Scam cryptocurrency exchanges could be everywhere. Scammers have big organizations that doing these scams and we can't really stop it. These scams have a big effect in the cryptocurrency community preventing the adaptation because most of the people are afraid to try crypto because they thought that online currencies or online investment are just scams. I think the government could educate people with cryptocurrency to avoid this problem. If people have knowledge in crypto they are a low chance for them to get scam. Newbies most likely get scam because they don't have the knowledge it bitcoin or cryptocurrency and then easily get carried by a big profit that a scam investment promise.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kucoin hacker moved the stolen BTC. on: September 28, 2020, 04:04:07 PM
I'm kinda sad to see some people bragging ERC20 token creators for freezing funds. You don't get that yours could be frozen as well, do you? Seems nice when it's a hacker that is being stopped, but when you're affected yourself it doesn't look that well anymore. We're supposed to be decentralized.

Based on me Googling for a minute, it seems like surprisingly this KuCoin hacker didn't even mix or coinjoin the coins(at least yet). What is it with successful exchange hackers and them not mixing/CoinJoining their coins? It seems to be the obvious move lmao; or am I missing something on why they don't do it?
They probably do not feel like being in a rush - holding your BTC in the wallet you've initially transferred hacked coins to or moving the coins to another wallet is about the same thing unless they want to cash out, right? Like Mt Gox, there's plenty of time during which they have to take care of probably almost all aspects of their lives from a security perspective, lol.

Edit: Maybe they're looking to exchange their BTC through Bisq? In that case, I guess it doesn't even matter whether you've mixed your coins anymore.

Hack in Kucoin is still ongoing maybe since the hacking is already obvious there is no reason any more to hide it from everyone. For sure they are trying to rush the cashout of the fund because Kucoin knows it already but until now the hack is still going. But it might be easier to track every transaction if they don't use any mixer with the help of the authorities there might be a small chance to catch these scammers in my opinion. Cashing out these funds is not easy to do for sure. But these hacking news is going to have a big impact on Kucoin as a lot of their users and investors are going to panic and cash out their funds on the website.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for Christmas on: September 28, 2020, 03:36:40 PM
When Christmas comes everyone, especially the kids, hopes to get a special gift on Christmas Eve, and I can't imagine if they get a Bitcoin gift by scanning the barcode on the blockchain application on their cellphone, and they will be happy to get it. and smile, but it is necessary. special knowledge to explain its functions and uses so as not to be misused.

I agree as bitcoin is still not applicable to some people or kids these days. A lot of people do not know what is bitcoin or do not know how to use bitcoin even until today. Even in some countries where technology is limited people in that country are not exposed to bitcoin and the value it. But I think it makes sense in the future as kids these days do not understand the value of bitcoin because they are not investors or don't have the knowledge on bitcoin. As people continue to adopt in cryptocurrency and bitcoin I think I could see bitcoin as a way of a gift at Christmas because it was just the same value as fiat money. I think we could say that it is the futuristic way to send your gift at Christmas.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Brand new to bitcoin and need some help on: September 27, 2020, 11:59:11 PM
That's the one: Electrum. I followed (I think!) the recommendations and went with that one.

If you're already using the Electrum wallet as a wallet address I think there are already a lot of tutorials online on how you could easily understand the wallet even in Youtube. You could just make a topic in the electrum section here in the forum if you encounter some issues or have some things that you do not understand. The link is Make sure you download the correct electrum wallet because there is a lot of phishing software or scam software online. The link is also here
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My newbie stress reliever on: September 27, 2020, 11:33:39 PM
I don't get why you believe that investing in Bitcoin is risky but are thinking about other cryptocurrencies.

No altcoin is safe from a bitcoin crash. If bitcoin goes down everything else will so despite its high price bitcoin is still the safest one to buy.

I agree with you, sir. Before thinking of investing in the world of crypto currency, make sure to check first for bitcoin and ethereum, these two are the most famous coin here. Bitcoin determines the alternative cryptos market, when it goes down, assume that other coins will also go down. But seeing in your perspective as a newbie and a frontliner, it is better to invest in safe coins. I mean, seeing Bitcoin is very volatile you're afraid to take risks.

But comparing these altcoins to bitcoin and Ethereum for me investing in bitcoin was is less risky than investing in other altcoins especially when your just a newbie in trading. I think when you going to start investing in cryptocurrency its a safer path to invest in bitcoin because of the volatility in the price. The demand in bitcoin is already solid when it comes to the demand of the community so if you already research in how to trade or how to earn profit in trading if you're just going to buy and sell your investment at the right time.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Creating strong password. on: September 27, 2020, 11:02:43 PM
As for me my password is consist of 14 characters with upper letters, numbers and special characters, and its the same password i use on my social media  accounts and exchange.

Using the same password is not advisable since you might end up in some phishing websites and could use your information or password to access your other accounts. Also, you dont know every website if you could trust every one of the websites that you created an account. Employees could also mess it up or leak it on their own even if the company is a legitimate company. But when creating a strong password Usually an upper case letter plus many letters and numbers combine is enough already to make a strong password.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A woman has been arrested in the United States for hiring a killer with bitcoin on: September 26, 2020, 09:00:43 PM
I've heard a lot of things about hiring a killer in deep web thing where you could pay bitcoin to some illegal things or something like hiring a killer. Well, killing your ex-husband? seriously? Maybe he falls into a trap or someone offers this to him and the woman just takes the offer because she wants to kill her ex-husband. I'm sure that the authorities could tract a lot of these transactions because of a lot of their trusted sources. But 5000$ was a big amount of bitcoin  Grin just invest it instead of using it in killing.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not your keys, not your Crypto Kucoin Hacked! $150m Stolen. on: September 26, 2020, 08:12:29 PM
Anyway, they already promissed to return all money to the customers. Not bad

Yes, they did say they'll take full responsibility and work together with those whose accounts were hacked. Even if I got lucky and still have my funds intact, I'd still don't want to be in their position. The fact that KuCoin is refunding these people is amazing, and this type of responsibility should be adopted by all major exchanges

I've heard about it and its really sad news for a lot of users who invest in kucoin. Luckily I already take out all of my investment in Kucoin a long time ago and trade in Binance. Hackers are really doing it like big organizations that target a lot of cryptocurrency exchanges. But maybe it's a good thing to take out already your investment in the websites since the hacker might still have the control in the website's wallet. This could easily make Kucoin close I'm surprised they are going to take responsibility for this hacking incident but I don't think they could accommodate everyone that lost their funds it would just cost them a big amount.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My 0.1 BTC Journey on: September 25, 2020, 05:37:15 PM
I started my journey of gathering btc in Dec 2019, with aim to accumulate 0.1 BTC. After 6 months I managed to accumlate 0.1 BTC. My original intention was to stop accumulation as soon as I have 0.1 btc but now I think I should go for 1 btc.
My suggestion to everyone out there is to invest as much as you can in bitcoin. Since we are in very uncertain situatoon and Bitcoin may be our new savior.
Goog luck to everyone.

Edit. Many senior member asked to do share the path. I am a freelancer writer on crypto and blockchain. In December 2019, one of my client offered to pay me in btc, just for a trial I accepted his offer. It was just 20 USD but after that my primary mode of receiving payments became btc. Since in btc you get complete payment without any middlemen and within few hours. Honestly I realized benefits of btc after I received my first payment of 20 USD before that I thought its just a buzz word.

Saving bitcoin is really a good thing and I think for a lot of time it when I invest in bitcoin I always get a profit saving bitcoin. I think most of my funds came from the signature campaign and most of it I end up investing in bitcoin. I just watch the marketplace if it is a good time for selling my bitcoin depending on the value of bitcoin that I get because it depends on the market value in the market. I sell my bitcoin if it is not worth it investing my reward in the signature campaign. But when you look at it today if I just save every bitcoin from my signature campaigns it already a big profit.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin such a big risk? on: September 24, 2020, 07:20:59 PM
Many people I know formed a bias that cryptocurrencies are inherently risky and you shouldn't invest in them more than you can afford to lose.

I agree with the above statement in a certain extent, but I'd like to ask the community. Is it riskier to place your money in Bitcoin or hold them in a fiat savings account? What's your opinion?

So curious to see the response especially today when we live in times of crisis.

Bitcoin is risky because you are just investing in digital money that does not have a physical form comparing it to other digital currency which you could convert in physical money or fiat money. A lot of people know and understand bitcoin technology and they know how risky it is and they are willing to take the risk investing in bitcoin even though it is risky the demand of people today in bitcoin is just high and even me I cant imagine how bitcoin marketplace is going to go down easily.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Schiff son buys more bitcoin against his advise on: September 24, 2020, 06:49:52 PM

Peter Schiff twitted that his son buy more bitcoin against his advise. Then Peter in turn put up a poll as to who's advise someone will follow, his or his son. An overwhelming 80++% voted for the kid move to get into bitcoin.  Grin, Lol, he should follow his kid's advise as well and get into BTC, or is he secretly stashing already?

I think a lot of people agree investing in bitcoin is a very good investment at the moment but I think the business investment is not bad either and may be less risky than investing in bitcoin at all. Whatever he is he's choice is still risky because it an investment it is always a gamble. Bitcoin was just a good investment at the moment but we don't know what could happen in the future because bitcoin is just a digital currency compared when you invested in a business.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What area of bitcoin participation is easiest to work with? on: September 23, 2020, 06:41:39 PM
I have seen bounty hunter doing well, I have also seen people who do not participate in bounty and are making it well with trading alone, but I have never seen anyone around me being involved in mining, I learnt mining is more risky and cannot just be done alone, and if you even attempt it probably with your android, you may end up wasting your time and not even making it as the traders and hunters. It tend to take a massive effort to be successful in mining, you need good electricity, good mining wallet, computer with good capacity, and some other gadgets. Considering all this, which of all the participation do you see as least demanding and easiest?

In the past year, I try mining in a phone and I just earn nothing for a months of mining. I even tried mining on my own pc but its not powerful enough to make a high probably I could probably earn 1$ in a month mining some worthless altcoins in the market. And its even become worst to start mining after the bitcoin halving events and a lot of small miners are already stop in their business because it is not profitable anymore. For me, the easiest is bounty hunting and trading.
