141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Otto Wallins on: September 13, 2019, 10:00:56 AM
https://www.oddschecker.com/boxing/tyson-fury-v-otto-wallin/winner

We finally have some odds. As expected this is a very lucrative fight, if you are insane enough to bet for an Otto Wallin massive upset. This guy doesn't even have a wikipedia page, so it would be a shock, an amargeddon in the boxing world. It would ruin the Deontay Wilder rematch just like Joshua's loss ruined the fight vs Wilder, but it would be 10 times worse since this guy is less of a contender than Ruiz. As a boxing fan let's just hope things go as planned and this is an easy win for Tyson. It should be easy money, get some extra bucks and that's all. If someone wants to bet on a Tyson loss, I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to put 100 bucks or something that you can afford to lose just in case planets align and the disaster happens.
Yes, I hope so too, but this match will not necessarily be won by Tyson Fury if he cannot control the net later on. fighting strategy needs to be planned as the fight goes as expected, sometimes a fighter is easily provoked by emotions and does not think clearly or be consumed with ambition to win immediately.
142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Marketing And Religion on: September 13, 2019, 09:36:46 AM
As we know that Gambling is prohibited in certain religions including Islam. If anyone does it, the earned money is not legal and is considered Sin.

But what if someone is promoting a gambling site on social media etc, will the money earned from it be legal provided he will never directly gamble ?
gambling is definitely prohibited, let alone spreading gambling sites on social media. people's responses are different about gambling and various forms of gambling. it is difficult for ordinary people to distinguish between gambling and non-gambling. so whatever we do if it's good then do it but if not stay away.
143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling habits that will cost you on: September 13, 2019, 08:41:52 AM
Those that have been gambling for a long time will agree with some of these bad habits (if I may call them this) which I have found to have a negative effect on our gambling experience.

Any comments or additions, drop them in the thread Smiley

1. Cancelling a withdraw because the sportsbook takes long to process it or because you saw a game you think will bring easy profit, stop right here.. my advice don't even think about cancelling this it's a trap that will leave you with no money to withdraw.

2. Don't gamble while you are intoxicated, for obvious reasons judgement is impaired and you will be reckless with how you play.

3. Never gamble with money that isn't yours, this includes taking out loans for the purpose of gambling  because this always ends in you losing all the sourced funds and will result in putting yourself in bad books with friends and family.

4. Avoid accumulators, sometimes these are good but if you in it for the money avoid them! I know many will say if you don't risk it you won't win or say something like "go big or go home" but honestly think about it , you place an accumulator with 3 games and 2 games with big odds of 5 and 7 odds go through and you are left with the multiplier of 1.2 odds which goes on to lose Huh I guess you get my logic

5. Avoid gambling when you are angry or feeling emotional about something or someone, this too affects your game. If it helps talk or see someone before you do something you will regret.

Feel free to add more to the list
all that needs a strategy that has been planned and calm in making decisions. all you say is true the feeling of wanting to win and emotional will only add to the burden of the mind and can not think clearly. calmness in taking action is the key to victory, too ambition will only make the plan not go well.
144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Money is Dirty Money on: September 12, 2019, 09:11:38 AM
This to me is a traditional view which remains persistent until the very day.

My mother considered gambling as playing with money. She sternly reminded us not to gamble. When I was in college, there was a hot debate within the church whether or not to accept donations coming from dirty sources such as gambling. And in Islam, gambling (maysir) is haram (forbidden). [1]

I have a friend whose father would not serve the family food bought using gambling money.

And just a few years ago, our Education Secretary shunned billions of state-funds because they are coming from gambling. She didn't think it moral and proper to buy books and even build classrooms using the dirty gambling money. [2]

What are your thoughts on these? Do you agree with it, or you consider these as old-fashioned views?

gambling in the view of Islam is indeed haram and is not very good. people whose religion is strong surely know that it is strictly prohibited. but we are just ordinary people, people think differently. my advice still think about the trust that you believe right now. for Islam money is not everything, but faith takes precedence.
145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling just for fun? on: September 12, 2019, 08:32:50 AM
There are some people gamble and lose. if you ask them why do you gamble? They will answer you "just for fun"
They know they are loser in long term and no strategy works, but continue to gamble for fun.
How can enjoy something that you know you will lose? Is losing money really enjoyable? Isn't there any other entertainment you can enjoy?
I think these people are still hopeful of winning back previous losses or they are addicted. Gambling cannot be just for fun. There are many free games too.
Everyone's thoughts are different about responding to gambling, it could be used as a hobby. they not only have fun but also have their own strategies and techniques. no gambler wants to lose, it's just that defeat is considered a common thing.
146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo vs Kovalev WBO Light Heavyweight Championship on: September 11, 2019, 06:45:50 AM

ccto
https://www.boxingnews24.com/2019/09/canelo-alvarez-vs-sergey-kovalev-being-finalized-for-november-2/

Canelo will fight Kovalev for his 4th division title, reports said that promoters are expected to officially announce the fight this week.
Betting odds not yet found on the bookies maybe because this fight is not officially announce.

If this fight will push through, Canelo would still be the favorite here even though Kovalev is the bigger of the two. Youth and talent clearly are the advantage of Canelo but it's just exciting to see how he would perform vs the 6'0" Kovalev.

Your thoughts guys.....
yes I agree with you canelo has the soul of a tall fighter and he is young, certainly has a young spirit that is still attached. but the fight is not easy, that is, kovalev, which has more flying hours, is of course also very experienced, Canelo must be able to control the game and have a strong fighting strategy in order to win.
147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: September 09, 2019, 07:56:11 AM
Hope I haven't duplicated a thread but tried to look back til January and couldn't find anything. We did have the debut of Nations League a few months ago and that was somewhat like a friendly atmosphere so I'll pretend that didn't happen.

Matchday 1 of 10 starts today, 55 national teams in 10 groups of 5 and 6 teams play for the rights to progress to the EURO 2020 24-team finals. The full fixtures from official UEFA website are here, downloadable pdf is here.

Not as exciting for me as World Cup, but this is the first time we see Kosovo participate, and the first time there is no automatic host qualifier, so everything is up for grabs. Enjoy, gentlemen!

Feel free to list your group winners, outrights (I can't find any as of yet so will appreciate any early providers)... my own personal pick for 21 March is a x6.7 parlay on:
Scotland-Kazakhstan
Austria-Poland

Not actually betting on this, I got a parlay with a friendly going on, I'll see how teams play first and familiarise before this goes.
I think the big teams will pass the grub easily and will dominate in each group. at UEFA EURO 2020 I will be holding Portugal and France to the final. because I think the game shown by the two countries is very good and structured, especially Portugal who has a new star, Joao Felix, who showed an amazing game at atletico madrid.
148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If You Win Big Will You Remember Your Losses on: September 09, 2019, 05:04:03 AM
I have a friend who wins 15,000 pesos or $300 the first time keno games in an offline betting outlet, he is so happy and very ecstatic about his winnings, I congratulate him and ask him how long before he hit the jackpot, he told me that it took him 7 months and he is betting daily at 100  pesos or $3 so his losses are bigger than winnings.

But surprisingly he did not calculate his losses all he cares about is he finally wins, how about you do you remember your losses when you win a big amount and do you calculate your losses and ask if the winning is worth it?
if I personally have a calculation for the initial capital, if for the problem of loss I do not think too much because every trade or bet must be prepared to lose as long as we make it learning why it can lose and find solutions in the future.
149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here have some strategy to gain money, but with low profits daily? on: September 09, 2019, 04:27:26 AM
Some example, you deposit 100 USD, you use martingale method to gain at least 1 dollar (1%) and you stop, and do the same the day after

This is just a random example I made right now, but I want to see if there's someone who try to use a strategy to gain very small profits daily instead of trying with big bets

And guys, I know there's no 100% strategy, it's just curiosity
as a trader, he must have good and correct trading techniques in formulating strategies even though he gets very small profits, because at this time the market is unstable and getting huge profits is very difficult, so he must be smart in determining strategies to get profits.
150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you gone against majority on: September 08, 2019, 05:59:51 PM
Sport betting is strange when it wants to be, it never a sure fact the impossibility can turn possible.
When booking a bet many bets on what the majority had placed before hand.
What am I saying betting site releases games for betting and gives an option where you see what others has selected and very often it's the one with the lower odd that  people place bet on.

Last week Saturday was a Turing point for me as I refused to bet with majority(31-8-2019) and placed a draw on the match between osasuna and FC Barcelona. Most people would see it as an unwise decision but that's soccer the foolish thing can turn out to be wise.

How many times have you gone against the crowd and smiled to the bank
betting on the ball is quite difficult, many surprises occur therein. many small teams are able to frustrate large teams because the strategies implemented can be balanced, even defeated. I don't win bets often because I'm often hit by surprises that I don't even think can happen.
151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto hodling as a form of gambling! on: September 05, 2019, 03:27:45 PM
in my opinion, the name can multiply can also be called gambling, but not all of it can be called gambling like investing. in my opinion investing cannot be called gambling, because many people and entrepreneurs do it transparently.

153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Things That Comes Into Your Mind When Winning... on: September 04, 2019, 02:30:52 PM
Back then I created a thread to let everyone to share their amazing stories, and now it became so dramatic that we almost laugh at it.

So let's start a new one, instead of speaking again and again about strategies and its effects, instead of talking every bad things that may happen when playing to much, and also instead of talking about how will someone gonna spend their winnings and also about their feelings...

So here's the thing, what does come into your mind when you win? For the first time? For the second time? Or even for when you win always?

Of course some might say that "isn't it obvious? To bet again and to win again" but this ain't the real thing, various reasons may come up for every individual. So let us put this into discussion.

certainly happy, that means you already know how to always be able to win techniques. if you always win I don't believe there must be a time sometimes down and that requires a lot of struggle and patience. for example, I am a trader who cannot always generate income in accordance with the provisions that I have targeted before. So the point is, if at the moment, don't be arrogant and big, you will always be concerned about the struggle that has been taken so far.
154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: China Urges Philippines to Ban All Online Gambling! on: September 04, 2019, 01:45:27 PM
What do you guys think about China urges to ban all online gambling in Philippines?. One of their reason is that "The embassy said many of the Chinese citizens working illegally in Philippine casinos or POGOs and other forms of gambling entities are subjected to what media described as modern slavery due to severe limitation of their personal freedom and also Beijing welcomed the suspension of the issuance of new licenses for Philippine offshore gaming operations (POGO).
China also once banned the existence of bitcoin in the country, and now bans its citizens from gambling online. maybe this is done for the good of the Chinese state. I think what the Chinese government is doing is very good, the government wants its citizens not to depend on gambling, but with hard work.
155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the difference between binary option and gambling? on: September 04, 2019, 01:06:28 PM
I always measure gambling from the level of risk and reward and i do believe that, this is the reason why cryptocurrencies traders, binary option traders, and forex traders are been referred to as gamblers by those that did not know how there work, as it is possible to have your entire accounts wipe out if you take risk with all your funds and at the same time it is also possible to double or triple your funds by just small movement in you favour.
It is almost impossible to come out with profits in binary options and a lot of strategies are out there and I have tried many of them. One thing is very common and that is: the gambling companies keep making money and binary option websites owners are among millionaire in their countries. My question is that,  is binary options part of the gambling industry as it deals with betting?
if my option which is called betting or multiplying is called gambling, I am not sure about binary because I just heard it. I need to learn more about this binary.
156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Would you Like to See in a New Casino Site on: September 03, 2019, 03:17:22 PM
I was wondering if there's any new thing you expects to see in a new Casino website that would make it truly unique? To me, it doesn't really matter if it's just a dice or multi casino platform. What I consider truly important is relationship with the customers/players. Not being shady, trying to game players with bogus Terms of Use. I also like proactive customer support and a platform run by knowledgeable operators.

Deposits, Bets and Withdrawals: I like instant deposit, doesn't matter if withdrawal is automatic as long as it is honored in a timely manner.

VIP: This seems pretty cool to me but not 100% necessary.

Support: Like I said, I like Casino site with proactive support. Live chat is a must to me if I am to use the platform. Although I may not use it, seeing it gives me a kind of assurance.

Prizes: This is neither Yes nor No to me

Games: Like I said, It could be one game or multiple games platform.

Auto-mode: Auto-mode with stop loss is cool to me too and will encourage players. I like cashout system.

Dice Speed: Slow-Medium speed dice.

These are popular features of current casino platforms. Do you think it's necessary to bring in new features or we should just limit it at these? Innovation is what drives every industry. So, I won't rule out the customer's desires. What are the features you always look out to see in a casino site that you would like to see in a new upcoming ones?

Thanks and feel free to say Hi to me in aanyway you can  Undecided

I personally have never visited the casino site, what else to play in it, I have no intention to enter into it. I think it's very risky for me because I have no experience. someone has to give me good advice so I can learn more.
157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Spence Jr vs Porter on: September 03, 2019, 02:11:20 PM
Fight: Errol Spence Jr vs Shawn Porter
Venue: Las Vegas
Date: Sept 28

https://www.boxingscene.com/errol-spence-im-definitely-not-underestimating-shawn-porter--141281

Another good and very explosive fight before the end of the year. We may see the winner of this fight getting crack at Manny Pacquaio.

I personally pick Spence Jr here, tall very quick fast hands, good defense and of course. Shawn Porter is no push over though, but he will be having a hard time against a fighter with this caliber unless he rough up Spence early and frustrate him.

Sportsbet odds:

yes you are right, Shawn Porter has to rack his brain to beat Pence Jr. he must be able to take a gap and opportunity during the match later, so that the match as planned. It's not easy to beat Spencer Jr., but proof of the impossible can happen
158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 01, 2019, 03:50:10 PM
New season is starting today the 20/08/2016!

Atalanta
Bologna
Cagliari
ChievoVerona
Crotone
Empoli
Fiorentina
Genoa
Internazionale
Juventus
Lazio
Milan
Napoli
Palermo
Pescara
Roma
Sampdoria
Sassuolo
Torino
Udinese
Perhaps what will dominate the top flight is Juventus, Inter Milan, Napoli and AS Roma. in my opinion the only ones who can balance the power of Juventus are them, but I still champion Juventus to win the Scudetto in 2019-2020. what else Inter Milan who again clean up by bringing in great players like Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sances from Manchester United.
159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling destitute on: September 01, 2019, 03:31:38 PM
Yes, gambling can make man destitute at any time. Gambling is just for fun only. Gambling is not a way to make money. I know many people play gambling to earn money. But it should not be done at all. Gambling will have to play for fun. Humor pressure can never be taken if you lose in gambling. Remember gambling is just a simple game that is fun to play. Never invest more money in gambling. If you invest a lot more in gambling then you can be destitute.

Thank you

what you say is true, gambling will not make us rich. who often gamble might just be a hobby and have fun. I also understand that gambling is not the right way to make money, but everyone has different beliefs and reasons about gambling.

I have noticed we dont have a thread regarding the upcoming FIBA Basketball World Cup and thought we should change that!

This is going to be the 18. basketball world cup with 32 participants. It is going to take place in China from 31/8/2019 till 15/9/2019 and we will have a total of 96 matches to enjoy.

Personally I cant wait for it to start. Firstly because I have high hopes in my country Greece this time (yeah, Giannis along with his two brothers will start)! Cheesy Secondly because I love basketball in general and this time many nations seem to take part with many of their NBA star players. Last but not least: There will be some great opportunities bettingwise! Smiley

USA is very dominant in this field of sports, many famous and star players who play for USA. I think USA will still be a favorite to lift the trophy. I look forward to other countries being able to compete closely with USA will be an interesting match.
