I hate to rain on your parade...actually, that's not true because I had an absolute blast cashing out my 863,000,000 worthless pnd's June 8th through June 10th on the attempted pump. The timing just seems a tad funny to me that all of a sudden, out of nowhere, magic volume appeared about a week before this thread was launched. I see this and all other cryptos as ways for nerds to bilk dumb people out of their money. I was one of the dumb ones that got suckered in with about $5000 of real money that turned into worthless pnd over the course of 6 months. I held on for 2 1/2 years waiting for this pump and took advantage of the scammers by taking $42,000 of their real american money. I'd like to thank those who contributed to my new roof, half my wife's student loan paid off, the last $5500 of my car loan paid, $4000 worth of gold & silver, and my driveway mud-jacked. I also have a little bit left padding my checking account and a chunk saved for tax time. Yes...I will pay the capital gains tax. After all, it's all of your money so why the heck should I care if the government gets your fair share. Again, from the bottom of my heart...Thanks! Keep buying into the pnd hype....SUCKERS!
I wonder how this guys is feeling right about now. This guy was so close, but so far away. EDIT: I'm so glad that I didn't fall for all the FUD that people were pushing in June. Panda Coin's future is bright! |

Panda Coin Team,
Please move out of Cryptopia, they are killing the coin. This is a fantastic concept, and I believe this coin to be one of the most sought after coins. But if you keep waiting for Cryptopia to begin trading.. it will be foolish. People wont wait, they all will look away and start investing in other coins, and will forget what you have created. All the years of work will be lost.
Please apply with other exchanges. Please resist YoBit and HltBtc both have been having tons of problems.
Cryptopia was about to kill PAC as well, but they moved over to yoBit, and lots of folks moved their coins out from cryptopia to ybt.
Pls move to an exchange where sign up is easier..
Cryptopia has had its share of issues with this sudden surge of alt coin interest, but it is still one of the more reliable exchanges. I much prefer trusting my money to cryptopia than Kukoin. Kukoin has had my LTC transfer locked up in withdraw processing limbo for 4 hours now. Very frustrating. |

Hi everyone. I'm new to PND. I bought some PND tonight on YoBit.net and I downloaded the PandaBank for MacOS. Problem is, when I went to deposit my PND, it still has not shown up. I need some help troubleshooting this.
The first problem is probably that the bottom left of my PandaBank still shows "Searching for Peers". Can you guys help me get this thing to work and help me verify that I haven't lost my PND? I think I'm running in Hybrid client mode, but my only evidence of that is that when I click "Classic" or "Lite" I get a confirmation Y/N whether I want to switch, but when I click on "Hybrid" I get no confirmation window and nothing appears to change.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks,

For new wallet, I highly suggest downloading and using the wallet+chain-snapshot in the first post of the thread. I remember the Wolong scam of 2014. It is funny now to see this anti-Wolong coin, which only existed to compete with the PANDA of Wolong, resurrect  While the genesis may have been to compete with the Wolong coin, it advanced a long way from that. Which is why it is still here today. That was a great time, started as a Doge fork to troll one huge scammer and then when the scammer was gone eventually PND lost it's purpose. It was actually my idea on IRC back then to implement PoS and an own multipool to Pandacoin when I discovered Blackcoin and thought it was a great idea to have a PoS coin and a miningpool that mines profitable coins and sells them to buy PND back. Amdoge managed to get that thing running and I had a lot of fun mining PND back then. Great to see, that it's getting developed again and I also like the donations to Panda aid funds! Now this great project just needs a few pushes to get it back into the light. Rank 150 on CMC should be possible at least, with the current BTC price, that rank would also mean ~100,000 USD donations to Pandas in China PS: My wallet only has one connection to the network, do you need nodes? About 3% a year. If you stake constantly, you will get slightly more than 3% from capturing transfer fees. and to stake every week... how many coins i need? Any number of coins will make you eligible to stake as long as you keep your wallet online at all times. 100k coins should predictably stake every week. 10M will insure that you stake a handful of times a week. Your coins accumulate 'weight' the longer they go without signing a block(staking) so even just 10 coins will stake eventually, but it may take a bit of patience. to mining in pos i need to download Windows Pandabank 3.0.5.3 right? link don t work Using the snapshot speeds up the rate at which you will get a online. You may need to start the wallet without the downloaded snapshot: Start the wallet, put it into classic mode, then close the wallet and move the snapshot into the local data folder. |

Well I bought some at 1 sat a while ago, guess I'll throw them in the wallet and let them stake for a couple years. Kind of want to keep scooping them up and staking more, hopefully the devs can bring this one back!
Expect another price surge coming after bitcoin reaches its next psychological price barrier. Probably around 5000$ USD. At which time people will start searching for markets in which they can try to gain some extra value from their newly acquired bitcoins. I wouldn't be surprised if we clear the 3 satoshi barrier when the next tide comes in, but don't expect it to be a permanent gain. My current expectations are for PND to stabilize around 1.5-2.3 satoshi until the next major update comes out. If your hopes are a get rich quick investment I would not suggest getting into PND, but as a long term investment (assuming the development of this currency heads in a normie/female-friendly direction) it has the potential to become a popular "cutesy-happy'go'lucky" currency suitable for the unwashed-normie masses and kawaii-obsessed Asians. This coin has good potential, the network is fast, transfer fees are low, and at least half the coins have been lost or destroyed(So they are rarer than people think). As long was we develop towards untapped markets, instead trying to displace 'serious/tryhard' currencies, we have a bright future. |

If people took half their PandaCoins off the exchanges, they could earn a healthy interest on their coins by staking them in a PandaBank. Not only that, with less coins sitting on exchanges, the price would also be higher.  My coins left Yobit long ago. Earning interest is refreshing! On checking this block explorer, I see only 15% of coins are staking. The rest I assume are on exchanges, off-line wallets or have been forgotten about or lost by their owners. 3% intrest a year is not too much to bother with staking or downloading the qt wallet with all blockchain for hours. My last audit of the chain had 17+ billion coins which had not been moved or staked in last 500 days just within the top 1000 addresses. I would assume that most of these have been permanently lost. On a side note, Stake weight caps at 30 days. The 3% interest continues to stack indefinitely. My coins had sat untouched for 700 days without logging in and they staked for the full 3% that I would have gained if I had been logged in once every month to stake. All that you will lose out on is gains from compounded interest (minor as long as you stake once every year). |
