The hoster that hosted philosopherstones.org had turned off his servers and run away, though the hosting was paid till the end of this year. The problem is that phs.org is complicated custom python software that requeres postgre database, web proxy, caching etc. All configuration files are lost of course, and I need a few days to configure everything again on a new hosting. And I have no free time now. I will buy more expensive and reliable hosting and repair phs.org later. Have no exact date, but before the New Year.
But, as before phs community needs somebody who will lead telegram channel, discord channel, reddit, facebook channel maybe, write Medium articles and so on. Without this work PHS will die, and I can't do this job.

From Cryptopia Support: Hi muzzargh, Thank you for your response. We require a representative of the coin to contact our Coin wallets team, in regards a more in depth response. The representative can contact our coin wallets team at coinwallets@cryptopia.co.nz in regards to the details. Unfortunately the Support team only have a the basic details in regards to the coin delisting, which you have already received. Kind regards, Emily I have no established connection with Cryptopia as PHS dev. But other coin(HBN) dev have got the answer from the wallet team. They wanted 2 BTC and full KYS documents from two persons - coin dev and coin CEO or PR manager. And they still have the right to delist any coin any time due their new delisting police. I think it's not a good deal. I personly have withdrawn all coins ( not only PHS) that I had there.

The resons for de-listing PHS from Cryptopia are low volume and lack of activity in developing and marketing. There are no security problems.
If somebody have more established relationship with Cryptopia team than me, maybe you can asure them that PHS is not dead.
But we strongly need somebody who will take responsobility for PR and marketing of PHS: negotiations with exchagers, writing articles, advertising, organizing donations for listing fees and marketing expence etc. Somebody who is native English speaker.
I can handle technical questions and continue to develop the wallet and web applications for PHS, but I can't handle marketing and PR.

Philosopherstone is a 4 stars coin now! The rating at www.cryptopia.co.nz of Philosopherstone was increased for a second time from initially 1,5 stars via 3 stars in December 2017 to 4 stars NOW! This means Philosopherstone is one of the 30 highest rated coins out of 585coins available at cryptopia exchange (only 29 coins have more then 4 stars)! Check out here: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinInfo/?coin=PHSThe rating is based on the following criteria: Windows Wallet +100 Linux Wallet +100 Mac Wallet +100 Mobile Wallet +100 Web/Paper Wallet +100 Premine 0% No change, 0.1%-2% -200, 2.1%-10% -300, 10.1%-50% -400, 50.1%-100% -600 Website +100 Block Explorer +200 Cryptopia Forum Thread +200
Thanks to VlatK, Palmdetroid and all other supporters we have everything of the rating list above but no "Mobile Wallet" or "Web/Paper wallet" yet. (By the way in my opinion cryptopia itself is a web wallet, too.) Great news. And mobile and Web wallet eventually will be done.

This was interesting to see when some minted coins showed up last night, after running the client for a few weeks (off n on)! Looking up my address: 9jzrgBnBY8V7LH9cSgvyYMtL9wbrgyt6RV on philosopherstones.org/block/ the transaction: f6e41098360c26faf62203462bcb93be935e453becb674b96095b48991aa3023 The Operation History Tab show my POS reward as 43.99589000 PHS but, when I go to the Unspent Inputs Tab, the POS amount shows as 98.88279800 PHS a difference of 54.886908 PHS. My wallet only shows the 43.99589 amount as well. After looking thru all my POS rewards, the same thing has happened with all of them! ******Another reward just came in as I typed this and it also has different amounts between the two "info" tabs on the Block Explorer. Can anyone give me some insight on what's going on? Two clues to this, one: following the transactions connected to each reward, it seems some of the newly minted coins are being "sent forward" to future POS rewards? the second clue, under Transaction Details, it shows some of the coins "Not Yet Redeemed". Love to find out where to "redeem" a bit over 100 PHS that hasn't been credited!! In operation history you see your reward. The amount of new coins credited to your account. In unspent inputs you see all your coins, that you can spend. The amount of coins that was before reward plus reward it has minted.

The 'Check point too old message' is only a text message and has never created any problem in the 4 1/2 years of existence of PHS. I don't think we should be toying with the conf file policy. Unless we know 200% what we are doing with this!
Check point server is controversial heritage from PPC coin. One node, usually running by developer becomes "main" and in a case of blockchain split all other nodes are ordered to follow the chain "main" node have chosen. More security, less decentralization. The old crypto key for checkpoint server is lost and we need to compile new client with a new key. It's not emergency issue and I need another few days to recompile and check everything. For now, while there is no checkpoint server online it's doesn't matter what policy you choose.

New 1.6.6.7 fork for ARMv7, (p.e. Raspberry Pi2+3) Hi VladK, Thanks for your new version 1.6.6.7. But unfortunately the majority is still using 1.6.6.4. Sure the link on http://philosopherstones.org/ points to the basic 1.6.6.4 version. But another reason might be that you just offer a binary for 64bit Windows. Until Yesterday it was not possible to compile it on Raspberry PI. But now it is possible with this fork: https://github.com/toxtox/philosopherstone Please have a look at the pull request for merging this feature into your fork: https://github.com/VladK75/philosopherstone/pull/1Running PhilosopherStone-wallet on a low power consumption device with ARMv7 would make the POS only coin even GREENER! (Even when the wallet is permanently running 24/7 as full node for stabilizing the network and for bringing 1.6.6.7 version a head!) Thank you for helping PHS developing. I'll check your pull request. I have some stability issues with scrypt code in 1.6.6.4 under Windows and I took the one from Hobonickels. If your code works on all platforms I'll add it. If somebody needs Raspberry version right now, they can use your repository.

How often should a wallet be backed up?
From Bitcoin Wiki: The wallet file contains the private keys for change addresses, and they can receive and send coins normally. However, the GUI in the default client does not display them in the address book, therefore a recommendation is to backup wallet.dat every 50 transactions. PHS uses the same mechanic. So it's good idea to backup your wallet after every 50 outgoing transaction. Incoming and stake transaction doesn't count. They use no change addresses.

Why has coin market cap not been updated to show correct stats? Maybe reach out to them.
Once the wallet has synced I also see error message: "Warning. Checkpoint is too old. Wait for blockchain to download or notify developers".
I know circulating supply is about 6 million but what about total supply?
Coinmarketcap use their own algorithms to determine circulating supply. You can get total supply with getinfo method of your wallet, like in any other bitcoin based coin. Also it's shown in http://philosopherstones.org/block/ in Money Supply column. It's about of 6012410PHS at time of posting. The max total supply is not set for now, but I expect to be around 20 million coins before supply of new coins will almost ceased in 2025. You can safely ignore checkpoint warning for now. I will fix it in the next release.
