I am now declaring the swap form safe to fill out and the old SUB1X safe to send again. The majority of new coins have been recovered. All of the coins that have already been sent will be processed for swapping next week. It would be sooner, but Mightyman is on holiday.
The original plan was to swap using the snapshot, however, the chain forked at some point in time, making it impossible to track funds. As a result of this, there is no choice but to swap without looking at previous transaction history.
The CryptoBridge situation remains unchanged, with all coins going through an auto swapping process. This will take place after the manual swaps have finished.
For those of you asking about Remapper, he has left on his own accord and does not plan to make any further developments on the project.

Swaps can't be processed yet for a couple of reasons.
1) There is 600 or so missing coins. We currently have a premine of 11800, but the main wallet only has 11200. These coins need to be accounted for before starting the swap. 2) The block explorer and snapshot are displaying the wrong balances. In addition to this, there are clear discrepancies between the information found in the snapshot and block explorer. As there are 3 wallet versions running, at some point one of these versions forked, which ended up distorting the figures. Remapper has been unable to find a solution for either issue. We'll have to see how things progress from here.
My advice is to keep your old SUB1X wallet.dat backed up because it may be required in the future. Do not send your coins to the swap address until the above issues are solved. For all people that have sent, we have your details so there is no need to worry.

The swap for SUB1X is about to start in a few minutes. Here are the instructions you need to follow. In doing so, you will be able to swap and transition smoothly between the 2 chains. 1) Download the new SUB1X wallet https://github.com/SuB1X-Coin/zSub1x/releasesThe links for each operating system have been updated on the ANN. You do not need to replace the files for the old SUB1X wallet because it's a different chain. Do NOT delete the old wallet.dat file until you have sent the old coins for swapping. 2) Submit your details in the swap form here https://sub1x.org/swapuser2/submitswapVisit the page above and send your coins to the address provided. A snapshot has been taken from the 26th January. Any rewards or movement after this date will not be valid for swapping. For those wondering about CryptoBridge, they will switch the daemon to make deposits/withdrawals compatible for the new wallet. You do not need to do anything, but please do not move coins from the exchange until I can confirm it's safe to do so. 3) Wait 48hrs Your swap will be processed and you will receive the new SUB1X. 4) Anyone with masternodes needs to wipe their VPS servers clean and begin the MN setup again. The guides are below for reference. The setup process is the same, but you must use the new ports. The new ports are: p2p port - 5721 rpc port - 5720 https://sub1x.org/guide/LinuxSetupPdfhttps://sub1x.org/guide/WindowsSetuppdf

I have done the spanish translations and I'm waiting for some information or to being paid.
Same here. Did Dutch translation weeks ago and have been updating it as well. I sent a couple of PMs and contacted both Francois (admin) and willdono on Telegram. No response whatsoever. I'm keeping an open mind though.. things have been very hectic around the project, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt for now. What's the use of a bounty if the entire project goes down? If the project is back on track and still no response, that will be another story. That being said, it would still be nice to be recognized for our effort and reassured that things will be dealt with properly in time Translation bounties sent. Hi all i have been scammed twice by the user willdono. first he opened a twitter bounty i joined then later he removed the bounty after we posted without any notification or a legit explanation. okay then second scam i joined the translation bounty i completed weeks ago i sent him PM he never answered this guy is a liar and has no experience running any bounty or a project he dont keep his words i did delete the topic i translated and i never want to get involved with this guy also this project he and others who joined him already got a lot of it now you who suppose to be investors you will struggle first everyday you guys should check for a wallet update so you call this investment if everyday follow the guy in telegram and here for wallet updates ?
however i left my feedback to this guy i will never remove it do not get involved in any bounty with this guy .
Hey, as you probably know things have been quite hectic for SUB1X these past few weeks. I have sent you a PM and after this is resolved I would appreciate it if you removed all of the posts with scam accusations.

so we are now on our way to a hard fork, will the snapshot be on a specific date? also the new coin will have the same supply right. anyway waiting for the swap page to go live. good luck dev team.
The snapshot is from the 26th January. This is right before the CryptoBridge debacle happened. There is an extra 600 coin premine in case we are unable to blacklist the wallets from the accounts that stole SUB1X from the exchange.
|
|
|
Will be new wallets announced several days before the fork and published at the same time? Where will be the instructions for the swap published?
The fork itself has already been coded and the wallets are ready. Mightyman is working hard to get the swap page out as soon as possible. Once ready we'll add the wallet download links to Github.

Guys I'd like to make an ANN on the CryptoBridge situation. Firstly, there are rumours circulating that suggest Remapper is behind the stolen coins. There is no evidence for this and it could easily have been the case that someone impersonated him.The person we do know behind a large chunk of the stolen coins, is Gluedog (developer of Billionaire Token). He publicly admitted to withdrawing coins that weren't his and made no attempt to return the funds. CryptoBridge have recently hired a private investigator to pursue Gluedog and recover the funds.
As some of you may know, CryptoBridge have a very big deficit of SUB1X coins. This will be resolved through an automatic of swap from old to new coins on the exchange. One of the key roadmap goals was implementation of zerocoin protocol, allowing users to make transactions anonymously. I am pleased to announce that the new wallets will have this feature. A date has not been announced yet for the swap, but I will update all appropriately. Remapper is currently getting the new daemon ready.
To prevent the stolen funds getting in on the swap, a snapshot will be taken of the block explorer from when the exploit did not exist. A joint statement will be released by CryptoBridge & me, explaining how yesterdays' events unfolded and what the solutions were to fix the problems.
What will happen to masternode owners? Should we stop them since swap will happen from the block when the exploit did not exist ? I mean we will not get the rewards after the block exploit existed. Right? What a mess folks! Please give clear information in one place! We can't follow Telegram full of useless messages, Discord, Twitter and this forum! Please explain, as asked, if we must stop MN or what!!! The coins will get swapped, so you can keep the MNs running to maximise the amount of coins you have.

New wallets getting released tomorrow. More information on the swap will follow then.

Awesome coin, really excited for its future. Would like to translate the Dutch version!
By the way, is it possible to run a MN without a VPS, just running on a computer?
A VPS is needed, alongside the local wallet.

Reminder to everyone that your wallets need to be updated, if you want to receive higher MN rewards.

The limit has not been permanently removed. It's temporary and will be determined by node governance.
so why not just leave locked until node governance, why the temporary change, the point ? The limit worked, but it was impractical. If a person lost their node for any particular reason (e.g. network going down) then it would result in them losing their place. Also, the issue of DDOS attacks. We are currently working on solutions for these problems, if people vote to bring back the limit.

All node holders need to update their VPS servers for the new wallets.
Daemon needs to be started, stopped and restarted.
1. login to your vps 2. cd SuB1X 3. git reset --hard HEAD 4. git clean -xffd 5. git pull 6. chmod +x autogen.sh 7. chmod +x share/genbuild.sh 8. chmod +x src/leveldb/build_detect_platform 9. sudo ./autogen.sh 10. sudo ./configure 11. sudo make 12. sudo make install 13. cd src 14. ./sub1x-cli stop 15. mv sub1xd sub1x-cli sub1x-tx ~/ 16. cd 17. ./sub1xd -deamon 18. ./sub1x-cli getinfo (To check if the correct version is installed.)

The MN limit has been temporarily removed.
The reasons for this being:
1) It's not currently protected against a DDOS attack. This makes it easy for someone to circumvent the limit, by spamming the network.
2)The majority of the community are not in favour of a node limit.
3) Worries about how the demand for the coin would fall because the incentive isn't there to buy a node.
Node governance is being implemented over the next few weeks. This will give people the opportunity to propose and bring back the limit in the near future.

Hello everyone, updates have just been made to the wallets. The MN reward weight has been changed, which will result in an increased ROI. To avoid block block conflicts you must download the new wallet version. I have the updated ANN, but will also post the links here for reference. Windows 32+64 bitLinux 32bit 14.04: 32 bitLinux 64bit 14.04: 64bitMac wallets will also be compatible from version 10.13 and it is currently being compiled. I will add the download link once it's ready.

There were some rumours spreading round yesterday that the MN limit had been removed. A decision was made, but it is not final. We have decided to give the community a chance to vote on it.
Do you think the 250MN limit should be removed? Vote on it here: https://www.poll-maker.com/poll2005694x5C9b4b34-51

Oh really, I don't hear it from Dev. Just acknowledge that SUB1X will be listing on Cryptopia or Coinsmarket. SUB1X got listed to CryptoBridge officially last night. I'm updating the ANN now.
|
|
|
SUB1X now listed at CryptoBridge decentralized exchange: https://wallet.crypto-bridge.org/For the moment as SUBIX, but will be properly named in the near future (requires an exception). There's 0 volume there. Is the core team going to sell some there? It has only been live for 30mins. Give the buy/sell books a chance to mature. I would say minimum 3 days, before real volume starts building up.
