I am trying to figure out how to setup p2pool for the next altcoin that gets released.

Scenario: Day of launch - new litecoin clone comes out and there are no great pools available.

How would I startup a p2pool? That is I want to start the pool up myself.

Suggestions? Links to a guide or howto for linux?

I need a good and not terribly expensive PSU for 2x R9 270 and 1x 78750.

My current 500w PSU will not do even 2 of the 270's.

This is 1 of 2 problems.

1. Apparently the devs are using ubuntu 13.04 not 13.10 I am testing this now.
http://releases.ubuntu.com/13.04/ubuntu-13.04-desktop-amd64.iso

2. install libboost with the following
sudo apt-get install libboost1.53-all-dev

1 of these 2 should fix it.

I have a working executable on the system I built it on.

I had the same problem - you are using 64 bit go instead of 32 bit go.  64 bit is broken - unistall then reinstall 32 bit go and you have to reinstall git.

I have not been able to get my .exe working on a separate computer yet which is why I am not posting it.

I got a windows binary running. - I will try to port it to my other pc if it works I will post the .exe here.

OK got it working on windows
1. install wallet
2. Edit peacecoin.conf
3. use the following command with cgminer 3.7.2   c:\cgminer.exe --scrypt  - u jack -p password -o http://127.0.0.1:55555 --gpu-platform 0 -d 0 -w 256 -v 1 -I 13 -g 2 -l 1 -T --thread-concurrency 8192.
