good news, the housings and sliding clips have all been completed and the hand-polishing process is complete. Late last night I worked with the factory to make sure the engravings were in the correct location. All of the engraving work should be completed by tomorrow, at which point all pieces will go through a final quality control inspection, and then shipped out. I ordered extra assemblies to make sure I had plenty on hand if some did not pass inspection. So hopefully the next update will be shared Friday to confirm all pieces have shipped. Thanks again everyone. http://imgur.com/cJVCWV3http://imgur.com/lsFx1sFhttp://imgur.com/6yHAi1QWhat these started as: http://imgur.com/oTvhg2YThanks for the update. Looking forward to getting these in hand!! Me too miner :-) Thanks Kialara for the updates and amazing work!

Can you explain how the private key works?
TL;DR: An encrypted private key is visible on the back of the note. In order to decrypt the encrypted private key, you need the decryption password. The password is hidden under a tamper-proof holographic sticker. Peel the sticker to reveal the decryption password. Scan the QR code of the encrypted private key, then you will be prompted to enter the decryption password. Enter the password to reveal the REAL private key to spend any funds that you may have loaded onto the note. Here's the full explanation from its creator about the encrypted private key. (Please note the final sentence. LOL) "The only way to use the private key is with a password. That password can be anything... I make them 10 digits long to make them extremely to nearly impossible to brute force. The encryption/decrypting process is time consuming.
So, when I create the keys for the Papersafe Note. I first print the random password from a spreadsheet like program. This is done in bulk... its total random and it doesnt matter what the password is.. I type that random password into bitaddrsss.org to encrypt the private key ... The public address and the encrypted private key are then printed on the notes.
To redeem the funds from an encrypted private key ..you would scan the private key QR code ...I use my phone and blockchain.info app..there are other wallet apps that do this also.... It then asks for the password....type in the password ....it decrypts to a private key that can then spend the funds....
A PaperSafe Satoshi Note has the encrypted private key and public address printed visibly. The Password is covered with a tamper evident scratch off and a self destructing holographic sticker. To view the Password , you have to peel the hologram sticker off then scratch the scratchoff, revealing the password.
To reveal the password... The hologram has to be removed to access the scratch off.... this is not a quick rip it off hologram , but with care will do what it is meant to do...
First thing you want to do is warm up the area ... since you would be destroying the note by removing the hologram... rubbing you finger back and forth across the area to create friction will warm the adhesive enough to release without tearing paper. a hair dryer may work also.. This is a self destruction hologram... it will leave a lot of the adhesive and parts of the hologram behind.. If the paper starts to tear.... then it needs to be warmed up a little more .. I found that a sharp pointed blade like an xacto hobby knife, to start the process was helpful... once the hologram is removed there will be a lot of sticky on the scratch off.... the back of a knife is useful to gently scrape it off....once most of the sticky is lightly scraped off...then a coin can be used to scratch and reveal the password. I use a Bitcoin Penny to do this ... just because." (Emphasis mine.) Regards, Chris Perfect thanks! I was unsure if the original buyer was the one that set up the decryption password or not. 0.46 in that case.

Interesting to see what these went for. Would this set the market price for these bars or do you think that the price may have been slightly higher than other auctions since this was the first public auction of its kind? Congrats to the winners BTW!
My personal thoughts? The Suite will sell higher once in hand, and that's if you can even get your hands on one. ~7 BTC Sets... ~1.5 - 2 BTC Singles... ~0.5 BTC. I was actually attempting to set market prices here, and I have absolutely no problem with the results here. But I think all will sell for a little higher once they are actually delivered. I personally know of 6 Suites that will never see the light of day on this forum, along with the 2 that Kialara himself kept. That brings the total amount to a maximum of 13 Suites that may come up at some point. Sets... Of the 79, at least 20 will be the same as above. Singles.. Obviously no idea about them. I possess another ~10 which I will sell slowly, along with a couple more Sets. Cheers Hmm this went for way less than I expected, would of loved to place a couple of bids but I was out at the end of it, oh well. Hoping you didn't take too much of a loss Z! Will be looking forward to the next auction if you make one!
Congrats to the winners.
Can happily say I didn't take any loss here bud More to come? Sure, Sets & Singles. Auctions? Likely not. Was this the *first* ever auction for the Kialara Moon bar?
