1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash will be THE Bitcoin on: August 20, 2017, 04:25:46 AM
Bch can not be BTC. BTC is a wall
Watch how fast that wall gets knocked over if people think they can make more money on the other side.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin on: August 20, 2017, 04:14:27 AM
Stick a fork in litecoin. BCH is going to eat its lunch. It might maintain its current value or bounce between $40 and $50 for a while, but its going to slowly bleed going forward. I expect no more big upward price movements in LTC. Charlie's positioning of LTC relative to BTC doesn't help. He needed something more aggressive than burgers and fries, litecoin is boring or the usual "silver and gold". The BCH people want the litecoin investors and they are FUDing LTC bad in China.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your biggest regrets in cryptocurrency? on: August 03, 2017, 07:15:42 PM
I discovered bitcoin when it was about $5 per coin and during that time for several reasons I could not buy it. I discovered eth and xmr when they were around $10 per coin and I could not find a good place to buy them. I discovered netko when it was about $0.05 and I could not get the wallet compiled. I probably had around 40 bitcoins and cashed them all out under $800 and I could name more.

You?

Not selling XRP at the top when it was .42 on Polo. Would have made $500K solid profit. Stupid mistake that will never happen again.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA - the scam is being pumped hard now don't fall for the trap on: July 11, 2017, 03:13:17 AM
$20biliion by the end of this year!

It should that reach easily and i am Not joking!

Dude, seriously. I hope you aren't betting your rent payments on that assumption.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA - the scam is being pumped hard now don't fall for the trap on: July 11, 2017, 02:51:09 AM
Iota is  the only"coin" who is backed by real big companies such as microsoft,Cisco,Bosch....etc

And iota  has zero Inflation, unlike ethereum

It is the most undervalued Crypto outthere !!!!

How's that market cap looking? Think it just passed the $500M mark on its way down. Seems like it is getting closer to where it always should have been considering how far off anything industry ready it really is. Market cap of $250M or less seems far more reasonable than $1B+.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 6.5 K USD. What should i invest in? Pow? Pos? Trading ? on: July 08, 2017, 05:49:30 AM
Some combination of bitcoin, litecoin, monero and ethereum. They are all legit and have their place in the cosmos. They all also have serious developer teams and strong communities.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins that might survive in the future? on: July 08, 2017, 02:28:34 AM
I think the top 10 coins in marketcap will eventually survive in the future. They already exist before those hundreds of coins are made. They are popular and they are all legit coins that has an interesting project in the future.
I also agree with your opinion
Coins that enter in the top 10 will survive in the market.
Reason 10 coins are still used by many investors.
And it will still be used to invest because the price will continue to rise.
Being in the top 10 doesn't mean shit. Anyone can print up a bunch of coins. Look at IOTA. Had a $1.5B market cap or some such thing "unofficially" due to trading in slack (!!) before it even it bitfinex. Just goes to show market cap is meaningless. By extension "top 10" is meaningless.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] Alphabay Monero down / Possible exit scam! on: July 07, 2017, 04:23:42 AM
I am fairly sure more bitcoin than monero will have been stolen/lost from alphabay if it really is an exit scam.

Either way, at least the Chinese mining cartels (and by extension the Chinese govt) don't control the monero mining like they do the bitcoin mining.  Wink
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is litecoin one of the best investment on the market? on: July 06, 2017, 07:09:47 PM
The litecoin community is more active than ever w/ a very illuminated roadmap for this year and beyond. You're crazy to not have a sizable position in this coin. Going into triple digits for sure, charts of the past no longer apply to litecoin.

Agree with this. Litecoin volume has been excellent, especially relative to its market cap. They have a good roadmap, no infighting (ala BTC), and (for better or worse) a key respected person calling the shots and driving it forward. It is gaining popularity quickly in China and around Asia. No reason to expect it won't break into the $100 to $150 range before the end of 2017, barring any general crypto implosion.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WHAT COIN IS WORTH HOLDING FOR ATLEAST A YEAR FROM NOW? on: July 05, 2017, 08:04:32 PM
Litecoin.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is the best anonymous altcoin? on: July 05, 2017, 07:42:48 PM
Monero.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Exciting new ICO opportunity on: July 05, 2017, 07:32:21 PM
We are announcing the SCM token.

This token will allow people to place bets on the death of other ICO tokens and alt coins. Our token will be built on the ethereum blockchain. Incidentally, bets placed on the decline of ethereum will pay out double if you win.

We are promising:
1. A whitepaper outlining a gambling infrastructure and the ground-breaking technology behind the new token
2. A really slick website
3. An impressive roadmap with no dates
4. A published dev list consisting of various nom de guerres and pseudonyms. Only the highest skill sets will be claimed for our devs.

We will be setting up everything in Nigeria due to advantageous tax treatment there and some legal technicalities.

So, all that said, please be prepared to send us your ETH. We will be announcing the ICO date and ETH addresses very soon. We want to build excitement and anticipation.

Once we have all your ETH, we will be using it to fund the final whitepaper and the website.

Your ETH will get you an IOU for an amount of SCM tokens according to the following formula:
SCM = e^ETH. e is Euler's number and has a value of 2.7182818.
As you can see, the amount of SCM token IOUs you will receive goes up exponentially with increasing ETH investment!

Don't miss the train leaving the station!
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA manual claims tracker (UNOFFICIAL) on: July 03, 2017, 07:40:01 PM
Since they also do not respond to emails or PMs, and there is no clear and up to date information regarding what constitutes a valid claim request, there is a real danger that after the arbitrarily set deadline of July 11th many of the manual claims will be rejected as not submitted in time, or not containing enough information.

Don't hold your breath. I went from excited about this project to circumspect to outright doubtful after reviewing their github, their slack discussions, their "roadmap", their website and the inflated claims surrounding this project.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: June 09, 2017, 07:59:20 PM
Nobody knows what the price will be when it hits the exchanges, but with the the current trading prices probably around 250 Miota.

Yeah, 250 Miota is just insane when you think about it. You have, what, a few hundred people trading on slack and its now capped at close to $2B USD before it even hits an exchange just because of slack trading among a handful of people? Are people spending tens of millions of dollars on slack for trades? Doubt it. Just goes to show that "market cap" when it comes to cryptos is largely an imaginary number.
