Its all about speculation. Speculation is affected by news. Since there is no big positive or negative news, there is not much movement in the markets.
82  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 280x cards power usage? on: February 05, 2014, 06:18:21 AM
280x draw upto 310W if not undervolted. And you can expect 260-280w if undervolted. But keep in mind, every card is not the same. So whie one may stay stable at a certain setting, other might not remain stable at the same setting as the other one.

Yea it could have been the voltage problem. Your VRAMs must be running too hot to control the voltage, hence leading to this.  Undecided
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 7xPCIe Mainboards that work with 7 video cards on: February 05, 2014, 06:12:21 AM
Well i dont think windows even supports more than 6 GPUs so buying a 7 pcie slot mobo would be a waste.
85  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Can I use X1 to X16 Riser in a Full x16 Slot? on: February 05, 2014, 06:11:25 AM
Yea it works fine. I have tried it with my rig and it worked just fine  Grin
86  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Introduction to DualMiner USB (could mine both BTC and LTC) on: February 05, 2014, 06:04:33 AM
Is shipping to India at all possible?
87  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: {BFL} Butterfly Labs will give their customers a FREEEEEE "Monarch" on: February 05, 2014, 06:02:29 AM
Well, cointerra SAYS it will give the second rig for free.. lets see what really happens though. Because there is a huge difference between saying and doing  Wink

WHy do you wanna order a 180Ghs machine? It will be a longgg time before you see your investment back tbh.

Are you paying a salary or is it partnership?
90  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Got 1st rig. Need a bit of help on setup, cards and risers? on: February 04, 2014, 06:14:37 PM
I bought 4 risers from ebay and they are working brilliantly. Never tried alibaba so can't recommend.

When buying risers, make sure to buy the right ones like 1x, 4x and 16x (depending on the available pci slots)
91  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Hacking a BFL Single/25 to 48gh and beyond..... on: February 04, 2014, 06:07:53 PM
What kind of cooling are you doing on it? And whats the max you have hit so far? I am really interested in this overclock because i think its worthless to power up my Single  Cry
92  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Cointerra actually shipping? on: February 04, 2014, 06:03:55 PM
Well, i always had an idea that cointerra might do this. And i actually have an intuition that cointerra is not gonna ship at all. I don't think they even have the hardware ready. They promise too big a claim, i would love to see them live up to people's expectations.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: All Sapphire 7950s (11196-19-20G) are not suitable for mining? on: February 04, 2014, 06:00:37 PM
7950s are awesome man! I have been mining with them for 6 months with no problem. I know people that mine with them 24x7 for more than 1 year and they still havent burnt the cards. I have msi 7950s. I also hear good things about the sapphire 7950s.

You could try taking your card to the company and get it replaced. Just say it stopped working when you were playing.
94  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud hashing review on: February 04, 2014, 05:53:00 PM
I personally wouldn't recommend any cloudhashing companies. And whenever you do sign up for a contract, think like 6months ahead of time. Think of what the mining diff will be then and how much will you really be making at that time, etc.
95  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BitCoin mining virus on: February 04, 2014, 05:50:53 PM
Bitcoin mining virus isnt anything new. They have been around since 2012. And they have been in the news many times ::

http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/jan/08/yahoo-malware-turned-europeans-computers-into-bitcoin-slaves

I would suggest, not downloading stuff from unknown and untrusted sources. Scanning your computer with Kaspersky, Malwarebytes and Anti-Spyware.
96  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Cooling Mining Rigs - AC Installed, Fans On each Rig... What Next? on: February 04, 2014, 05:48:27 PM
You actually need a vent. A powerful vent that sucks in all the exhaust heat.

And i would suggest laying the rig on the ground and shifting the AC lower. This is because, cold air always sink to the bottom of the room (since its heavier) and hot air rises up. So if you had a vent on top, it would make all the hot air escape.
97  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Have £1200. Recommend me a rig. on: February 04, 2014, 05:44:32 PM
You won't find a miner that will make you a profit. So, you should consider Group mining. Check out the group mining section here to signup to a group.
98  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Brag: mined enough to pay my rent this month on: February 04, 2014, 05:43:26 PM
Well, you can switch to mining altcoins once BTC becomes unprofitable.

But on the other hand, the amount of bitcoins mined per month right now may not be profitable for you at the current BTC rate but, if there is another price increase/pump .. then the same amount of BTC would mean you are making a profit.

No one really thought that BTC could reach $1000+ in such a short time, but it did. So, you should keep that in mind while deciding whether to quit mining BTC or not.

I would stick to mining BTC/LTC and not bother with the altcoins.
99  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Can only get 2 out of 4 cards running - Please help! on: February 04, 2014, 05:40:42 PM
Have you tried swapping the non-detected cards for the detected cards to make sure that all 4 cards do work.

Then you should also check the 1x risers. They could be not working.

I don't think its a PSU problem because you do have enough power. All PSUs have a power efficiecy rating(Gold,Silver,Bronze, etc) so if your efficiency is 85% and its a 1000W PSU, then it will only be able to handle 850W max.
100  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How Do I Find a Qualified Programmer on: February 04, 2014, 05:37:38 PM
For the ATM part of coding, you need to contact the ATM company developers. Because the coding of ATMs are closely guarded. For android you can hire almost any developer that has successfully launched good apps in the past.

You can also contact devs of Litecoin, cgminer etc to see if they can help you with the project in any way. These developers do code for anyone at a fee.
