@Come-from-Beyond: the network is officially down by the hacker(s), nxt.airdns.org and fluke.airdns.org are almost capturing all the nodes, Everytime I start, I get stuck at 9861 block and stay there ad infinitum. I have the same collection of txs on both my accounts, but see all kind of weird balances from 0 to 1 and sometimes -5 , no matter which account and which IP (I use a wireless dynamic IP based connection).
Please if you are not able to introduce a resolution during today 12/08/2013 , at least provide temporarily that client server you had for us to send some txs at initial days. I really need to send some txs and I really do not care the fuckkk about how insecure it might be to use your server (I've sold Nxt to some guys, their btc resides in my wallet, and I am fighting with the clients 3.13, 3.14 and now 3.15 for 3 days Angry )
Waiting for your reply, to see if I can send these guys their Nxt or should their BTC back!

Down? Hm, my local node is working without any issues. If u r a stakeholder u should buy VPS and follow the instruction for 0.3.15.

I would like to setup a VPS but my skill level isn't that high, and I want to ensure my setup is 100% secure. Are you able to help me? I've never used linux before, and a windows VPS is more expensive, and maybe less stable for NXT from other user reports anyway. I'm thinking Digital Ocean is the best option, but am very open to other suggestions. I want to contribute towards making the network stable & secure.
thanks

nxt blockchain explorer (alpha)

http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=1

very naked but fast ;-)
update time is currently 3 min. most important functions should work.
as soon the nodes are more stable i will reduce this to near realtime.
statistics are in work now, will add them tomorrow. some charting is
planed too. if you have more ideas what to add or find bugs, please
let me know.

Awesome work Bro!!! thanks Smiley

So if the time diff is not zero i delete those peers (click trash bin)? How do i see my time sync amount?

+/- 15 sec frame is allowed

How can I check if i'm in sync? I don't see my own IP in the list of peers.
thanks

Can someone explain the time sync fix to me? I know wrong time can stall the client, but how do you fix it? I'm using 2.9. I delete all the other files and restart, but still wont sync. How do i know if my time is causing the problem? how do i fix?
thanks

There is a cyan asterisk next to each peer in Active peers. Look at its value.

So if the time diff is not zero i delete those peers (click trash bin)? How do i see my time sync amount?

say you're closing, feeshares drop, buy them up - "oh, i've decided to take on a partner, so staying open" - feeshares go back up - made a tidy profit

I've had my account unlocked for over 24 hours now, but no transaction indicating any earnings from mining. How will I know if i get any earnings? Should I expect some after 24 hours?

You need to wait for 1440 blocks to be solved on top of your first receipt before mining will begin.

eid

Ok,thanks! 1440 is the magic number then Smiley Do mining earnings appear as a deposit transaction?

I don't want to do it as well. I'm tired with all this marathon.

You've been doing a great job on this c-f-b, so I totally understand Smiley

Suggestion - can you update the original post in this thread with:
1 - the current version number of the NXT client (i.e. the Nxt.zip
2 - a link to the current version

Also, when you update the version on your local machine:
a- do you need to delete all the other files, or just copy over the new Nxt.zip? If the answer is 'no', what would happen if you did delete all the other files?

b- what happens if your account is unlocked on another PC using an older version? Will that cause a problem (i.e. mining, send/receive)?
No he cannot! Only BCNext can...

Maybe c-f-b could start a new 'update' thread with the current version etc.

I'm popping in and out a lot, so It makes it hard to keep up to date. I'm concerned my account wont be mining if its open in an older version.

< 2 weeks we go live. actually, as soon as i have enough money from selling the fee shares to buy the servers lol.

i have .198 myself from mining i put in(all i have unfortunately, i just had to buy those damn block erupters when bitcoin was ~80 dollars)

So to confirm, I send my btc to that address, and I add a message that is the purchase details MSG, encrypted with the pgp key you quoted, right?
