721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 16, 2022, 09:53:23 PM
It will be so nice if Messi wins the world cup, definitely a dream come through for the player and the entire Argentine team and coaching crew. The Messi fans will certainly gain their bragging rights against the fans of Ronaldo too, this might settle the debate of who’s the greatest of all time. The 18th of December will be a thrilling experience when Argentina face France in the world cup final and I am expecting an outstanding performance from both teams.

For me France is still the favorite in this upcoming world cup final, because for me France has simply the stronger squad. Of course Messi is an absolutely world class player and maybe even the best football player ever but he also is only one out of eleven players and i think that a lot of his teammates are not more than average players. France and the other hand has a more than one great player in their squad. They have Upamecano in the defense who is a great player, if still a little inconsistent sometimes, then they have Griezmann, Dembele and of course also Mbappe. So far France was also very effective with their chances.
722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do in this case? on: December 16, 2022, 09:49:37 PM
A well known crypto newbie contact me about two crypto project he his currently holding, Mina Protocol and Fuel, the problem is Alameda and FTX are big investors of these two projects, he is asking if he should sell his bag and replace with other altcoin?
Is this a good reason to sell off your coins and replace with another that Alameda and FTX aren't involved? Pls drop your idea .
What will you do in this case?

FTX invested in a lot of projects in the last few years through Alameda and just because FTX was an investor in a project does not mean automatically that this project is now bad all of sudden just because FTX has gone bankrupt and is gone now. Of course you have to double check first how how the investment of Alameda was in those projects. I also think the worst thing that can happen is that the tokens that are owned by Alameda and therefore FTX could be sold off within a very short period of time if FTX is forced to pay back their debts to its creditors, but i don't really how that works or if that is realistic.
723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Best Crypto Exchange For Altcoins? on: December 16, 2022, 07:09:05 PM
Hi,
I want to purchase some alt coins. I have some Bitcoin on Binance that I plan to move over to my Trezor. I see people talk a lot about smaller cap coins that is not on Binance. What exchange has the best meme and alt coins out there? Where can I check the exchanges with most alt coins?
Thank you in advance

If you want to use a centralized exchange for your trading then maybe you can try Kucoin. They have a lot of coins listed and a lot of trading pair supported and they are among the top crypto exchanges out there and they have also recently published their exchange reserve data so they are pretty transparent about their holdings in this chaotic times.
That being said if you want to trade meme-coins then you should probably use uniswap or pancakeswap because most of those meme-coins get never listed on the big exchanges. That is also the reason why i would suggest to never touch those stupid meme-coins. They have zero use-case and 99% of them are dead again within a few weeks.
724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 15, 2022, 09:06:33 PM

It has been confirmed by posting the official Instagram account of Fabrizio Romano, that the Brazilian wonderkid who also defends the Palmeiras club will soon be anchored to the Santiago Bernabeu in 2024 and his contract will have options until 2030. This is the result of quite tough negotiations with Palmeiras considering that this player is still 16 years old and provisions from La Liga, new players can join the competition when they are 18 years old, so we are still waiting for another 2 years to see the action of this talented young player Endrick with Real Madrid.

I have never heard of that player to be honest because i don't follow the Brazilian League. I think that a signing of a player at this very young age is always a complete gamble for the club that is signing him. In this case Real Madrid obviously. There were so many wonderkids already in football and only a few of them really made it to a really big star in the end. Just remember what was happening with Martin Odegaard a few years ago. Everyone said he was the biggest talent ever and basically every big club like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and many others wanted to sign him and in the end he decided to go to Madrid but he never really managed to make it there. Now with 23 he is a good player for Arsenal but nothing more.
725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This forum looks more like Altcoin Price Discussion on: December 15, 2022, 09:02:10 PM
Nearly all threads involve some price discussion.
At least on the bitcoin side, you can find some interesting technical discussion in
Bitcoin Forum > Bitcoin > Development & Technical Discussion
I wish there was something similar for altcoins, where no price or investment discussion was allowed...

That is definitely true here and i would even add that it is even a little bit worse, because a lot of threads are not even discussions about good projects to invest in or other news that are happening in the crypto space with the altcoins, but they are just badly hidden shill threads for the 10000th new meme-coin with no use-case at all that will be dead again within a few days.
That being said, there are some news and events that were happening in the crypto space where i heard here in this sub-forum first. The main reason is probably because i am not active in the bitcoin section because i don't own any bitcoin myself. I agree though that a more technical and sophisticated area would be nice for the altcoins too.
726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 15, 2022, 02:19:30 PM
Having previously been linked with Croatian goalkeeper Livakovic, now, as reported by Transfermarkt, rumors that Bayern Munich are interested in the Moroccan goalkeeper who is also the goalkeeper from Sevilla Yassine Bounou. As we know, Bounou's performance with Morocco was extraordinary, moreover, they made history as an African regional country that qualified for the semifinals. He's 31 now and that's quite mature, I think maybe he will be signed for at least 2 to 3 years if Bayern really buy this goalkeeper.

Well that serious and totally unexpected injury of Manuel Neuer could really have pretty big impacts now all of a sudden. I read today that Hassan Salihamidzic has stopped his vacation in order to take care about the goalkeeper position at Bayern Munich now. After seeing most games of the ongoing world cup so far i have to say that i would really like the idea of Bayern Munich signing Livakovic he showed some great saves during the tournament and he also seems to be a very calm and relaxed guy. I was surprised though that he is already 27 years old as he looked way younger.
I still think though that the most possible solution will be to get Nübel back earlier.
727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High Profit Projects Are Prone To Scam on: December 15, 2022, 02:09:39 PM
With my little experience so far, I have come to realize that most crypto projects that promise Investors excessive returns on their Investment eventually turn out to be scam.

As you already said, it is just not possible for a financial project to be sustainable if they are offering stupidly high APY's. I mean it is also relatively simple mathematics that it can not really work out if a project is paying interests of 1000% per year or even more to their stakers. That projects like this can not last long should be clear to everyone that is able to think logically no matter if they are completely new to the crypto world or not. Also i suspect a lot of those projects are created with the intention already to only last a few days or weeks. The team and the very early investors make a huge profit that way but everyone that is joining to late will lose almost everything.
728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 14, 2022, 11:00:56 PM
Let's wait for their match against Croatia, 3rd place isn't guaranteed: today's defeat will be bad for their morale for sure. They have played a beautiful match today, and a beautiful Workd Cup in general. I don't know if they deserved more, but they inspired me hope.

I think we all know that Croatia and Morocco are having zero excitement about that upcoming match for the 3rd place of the world cup. Both of them are still sad and disappointed that they did no reach the real final of the tournament. So it will be interesting to see how both teams will perform in that match. Obviously Morocco was showing performances at their absolute top level over the whole tournament so far. This has brought them so far. I doubt though that they can show again such a high class performance in a rather unimportant match. I can imagine that the players will have a hard time to motivate themselves for this match.
729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Huge demand for privacy incoming - Monero (XMR) will likely surge on: December 14, 2022, 10:57:31 PM
Unfortunately Bitcoin is not private by default - you need to use the tools - coinjoin, payjoin, lightning, liquid etc (which I'm completely fine with - just being a realist)
I love Bitcoin but Monero has a place. There's no reason why you shouldn't use it. It's a good supplement to BTC.
Just my 2 sats.

I agree that privacy coins will always have a place in the crypto world. I still remember when i first joined the crypto space back in 2017 privacy coins were one of the most important types of crypto projects out there and projects like Monero, Dash and others where all among the top 20 in terms of the marketcap. Nowadays it is different though. In the meantime we have seen a few other hype topics appearing in the crypto space. We now have Defi, NFT's, the Metaverse and play2earn games. From those 4 new topics i think Defi is the most important one and it will always be here to stay but the other 3 could just be temporary trends too. Once the focus is shifting away from those projects privacy coins could come back stronger.
730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 14, 2022, 01:14:05 PM
To be honest, I also expected more from the Croatian national team in the match with Argentina, but apparently the coach with the starting lineup did not guess, I think it's not worth talking about how Sosa played in this match, but he was replaced, but the score was already 2:0 in favor of Argentina.

It was not only Sosa that had a pretty unlucky day yesterday but Gvardiol too and i think it is just too much for a team to handle if two of your defenders are just having a bad day in the same match. I think that was pretty unlucky because both of those players are absolutely great defenders and i think that especially Gvardiol will be one of the top 5 central defenders very very soon. He is only 20 years old and is already an absolute world class central defender.
I also think that epecially the second goal of Argentina was pretty unlucky for Croatia because the attacker of Argentina had so much luck to score that goal. The ball bounced back to him from a croatian defender like 3 times in a row within just a few seconds until he was in front of the goal.
731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 13, 2022, 09:56:58 PM
Never mind, we all have to admit that Argentina is a better team than Croatia after watching this game. Maybe some pre-match hesitation is understandable as Croatia had the luck and success to reach the semi-finals, but in the end Argentina showed their quality.

I think that in this match it was quite the opposite of the matches of Croatia before. While they were pretty lucky in the match against Brazil and it was kinda undeserved that Croatia advanced into the semi final, i think that today the croatian team was very unlucky. For me they were the better team in the first 30 minutes today and the goals of Argentina came pretty much out of nowhere. Of course with 2 goals for Argentina scored withing only a few minutes it was almost already over at that point for Croatia. Even though they were the better team up to that point. After that Argentina played it very smart and in the end they deserve to be in the final.
732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: US is targeting Binance on: December 13, 2022, 09:51:36 PM
After the FTX clampdown, the US Justice Department is going after Binance. According to Reuters, Binance is being hit hard and is now under investigation due to money laundering allegations. Amidst the news, customers are starting to withdraw their funds.
IMO this is all a plot to drive customers away from Binance and led them to Coinbase...
What do you guys think about this?

I had no time to research yet but i read in a few telegram chats already that there are some rumors going around about Binance and now i know what rumors these are. Money laundering is a serious accusation and therefore i am not really surprised that a lot of people are withdrawing funds from Binance now and that the BNB coin has also lost some value in the last two days.
Well i think everyone knows that Binance is the biggest player in the crypto space since a few years now and if there would really happen something big with Binance like a trial or even more then i think Binance will go down way lower than now and with it the whole crypto market. Lets hope that does not happen.
733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 13, 2022, 09:54:31 AM
One Trophy will complete the privilege for Lionel Messi, that is the World Cup Trophy. this reality will be closer to becoming a reality as Argentina needs two more wins to make Lionel Messi dream come true. croatia and argentina have star squads in the bodies of these two teams where they will be able to provide a more fierce game when they compete in today matches.
I even agree with you that in today match Argentina and Croatia have a 50:50 chance where Croatia will be an opponent that is difficult for Argentina to beat and vice versa. we have to see these two teams in their efforts in the previous matches they were too strong against the opponents they faced.

I also think, that Argentina is not the strongest team of the remaining for nations that are still in this world cup. For me France is the big favorite. As you already said, Croatia is a very strong team too. They have a lot of quality in their squad and they also play with a lot of passion and conviction. Their greatest strength in my opinion, however, is that they are very good at defending and even if the opponent is making massive pressure towards their goal then the croatians still remain calm and are always defending well.
If Argentina wants to go through tonight, then they will need more than just Messi. They will need a good team performance.
734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is crypto staking? Is staking worth it? on: December 13, 2022, 09:50:34 AM
What is crypto staking and how does it work?
What is staking? Staking is a way to earn rewards via delegating your holdings of coins or tokens. It’s equivalent to storing money in a savings account & earning interest or buying company shares & share dividends.

I know that there are quite a few people out their that really disliked the fact that Ethereum has switch is consensus mechanism from Proof-of-work to Proof-of-stake recently. Some of them are miners and some of them are people that are just really disliking Proof-of-stake for whatever reason. I personally have to say though, that i like the possibility to gain some interest on your holdings. I mean if you are planning to hodl your tokens or coins longterm anyway, why would you not stake it and gain a few % of interest on it every year. I also does not really matter how much you have 5% are 5% and a few bucks for free are better than nothing.
735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 11, 2022, 03:45:11 PM
England vs France yesterday was a very interesting match. The results proved that sometimes stats are not a reflection of what a team looks like, judging by the stats England were the favorite to win the match. But France found it more easier to win, England didn’t stand a chance against the French defense. I expected more from England because I watch the English premier league regularly and had high hopes for the English team. Is England overrated?

Well i think the match yesterday was very very close and that France was just the luckier team yesterday and that was the only reason why they have won that game. France did not really have much chances to score. There was one header of Giroud in the first half and that was pretty much it. France scored their goal with a long distance shot and i think that Pickford should have saved that shot, but he didn't obviously. After that England was the better team and the penalty that they got was deserved and also the equalizer. After the 1-1 England remained the stronger team and was closer to the next goal then France in my opinion but then France again scored pretty much out of nowhere after a corner kick. England had another chance to make the equalizer but Kane missed the penalty, which is something that happens only very rarely.
So i would say that England was just pretty unlucky yesterday.
736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USDC is not safe on: December 11, 2022, 03:40:36 PM
Well, we all know Tether has issues and many people say that USDC is much safer than USDT which is not true according to this research.
Although this tweet is few months old but it is a moment of concern. All of these coins USDT, and USDC and even BUSD are not safe. The Algorithmic stable coins like Dai can also lose their peg against the dollar in a crisis situation.
In this situation, what can be the best way to store our stable coins  Huh

So far i only heard about the issues with USDT with their funds and that they don't tell us what their reserves are and that we therefore can not really be sure, how those reserves look like and if they even exist at all. In that context it was always mentioned, that USDC was way more secure and reliable than USDT, because the company behind USDC is Coinbase which is based in the United States. That means that Coinbase obviously has to comply to US-american laws and standards and so far i always thought that they are pretty strict and therefore that Coinbase and USDC is audited and checked regularly. I always thought USDC really have enough funds to cover every USDC 1:1 with a real USD. I have to take a deeper look.
737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 10, 2022, 10:55:08 PM
Impressive. France is unstoppable with Giroud and Mbappe, maybe they will win the trophy for the second in a row or they can be stopped by the Morocco national team ? I can't guess. Is it possible Croatia will win against Argentina, to they Croatia can revenge for the last world cup in the final if against france? But if Morocco finally wins and gets the trophy, this will be a surprise to us and a very good historical record for them. Although on paper Morocco is not the favorite, but they have a strong in defense.

Well i would say that the match today was completely open and very close. A draw and extra time or a win of England after 90 minutes would have just been as possible and fair as the victory of france. After England scored the equalizer in the second half they definitely were the better team and way closer to scoring their second goal then France, but somehow the french team managed to score again after a corner kick. Also i have to say i am a little bit surprised about how little Mbappe is doing in the defense. I mean i did not expect much from him, but he really does absolutely nothing to help his team defend. Even Messi is doing more here. I think Mbappe should change his way of playing and do a little more for his team. To be so arrogant already at his young age is not a good sign.
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Scam History in the Cryptocurrency on: December 10, 2022, 10:51:23 PM
Since cryptocurrency users continue to increase, many people are exposed to it. At the same time, there is also an increase in scams in the market, which usually always fall victim to the newbies in the crypto space. And this is happening because nothing is happening in the regulation here in cryptocurrency. So crypto is one of the high-risk assets in the market. So the opportunity here is way higher than we expect. "If there is an opportunity there is always a risk"

From those scams that you have listed i only heard of Bitconnect and onecoin before. There even was a pretty well made documentary about the woman behind onecoin last week in german television i have not watched it yet but i definitely want to. What i heard though was that onecoin really was a scam from the first minute. The token never existed, the blockchain never existed. Onecoin was just created in order to rip people off.
The bitconnect thing happened when i already were a little bit interested in the crypto space myself and i still remember watching that weird Bitconnect meeting with the moderator guy who quickly became a meme. I still don't understand though how people could really think that bitconnect was a legit project. Paying such high interest is just not sustainable. Even newcomers should know that.
739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 10, 2022, 05:39:21 PM
Fatal Mistake for Portugal Coach reserved Ronaldo, of course Portugal had to make a goal in this match, Portugal should have played to attack by lowering its best attackers and several star players, but the coach instead played second tier players at the tip of their spear, and there was no significant attack in half first or second, but when several of their star players were fielded, Portugal's attacks dominated tonight's match, this was just 1-0 behind Morocco, Portugal had just fielded their star players and the result knocked Portugal out.

I don't really think that it would have made a big difference if Cristiano Ronaldo would have played in the starting eleven today. I mean people just have to acknowledge that Morocco has the strongest defense in this world cup so far and i doubt that Portugal would have created a more good chances to score if Ronaldo would have started. Also he came into the game right after the half time so he had like 40 minutes to have an impact and to score but he did not really have a good scene if i remember correctly.
I would say that overall the win of Morocco was not that undeserved. Of course Portugal had a higher ball possession but in the end that does not matter.
740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Crypto to buy for 2024 ? on: December 10, 2022, 05:31:46 PM
Every person who lives with cryptos know that cryptocurrencies will dump in 2023 and in 2024 we will more grow...
so in this topic, we discuss which coin is better to buy for more gains about 10X to 1000X!
what's your idea? Cool

In general i think that a bear market like the one that we are in right now is of course never a good thing, but at least it provides an opportunity to invest into projects that are already pretty big like the ones that you have mentioned. I personally would never invest into Shiba Inu though and i also heavily doubt that it will make a x100 from here on. I think the time of meme-coins is over and Shiba Inu will slowly but surely lose relevance because in the end it is just a useless shitcoin. Your other predictions are also very optimistic i would not expect a x10. I mean i hope that but i don't think it will come that way, so only invest money that you can afford to lose.
Cosmos (Atom) is also a good project in my opinion.
