201  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall of Fame: Quotes of Bold Predictions on: May 03, 2013, 09:12:01 AM
Reptilia has a suit and tie.
For that reason he can charge 10-15% above gox to 'institutional investors'.
Good gig if you can get it.

My long term target has always been $1000 us/btc but bearish currently to make more BTC

'1BTC will be worth $14000 US dollars in 10 years.'

Bold enough for this thread?  Tongue Tongue

(although by then the most popular currency pair will be BTC/Yuan and the dollar will be a currency that is held by a few remaining backwaters in the USA as China will own the rest of it... or something like that  Grin)

Still waiting for the fall...
Have buy orders at $110 but keep taking them down again to let my $60 order stand.
Long term I'm a bull but just don't have enough BTC (in my dreams BTC1000 is the magic number), so need to speculate a little.

I prefer paper wallets from various different sources

Care to list?

Sorry wasn't clear:https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Paper_wallet

I've used https://www.bitaddress.org also.

Haven't used to Casacius tools yet (Bitcoin address utility) but he is THE MAN for this kind of stuff..

I prefer paper wallets from various different sources for medium-long term storage.
Put small ammounts on each address.
I have used Gox to import private keys when needed.
207  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC for L$ Linden Dollars on: April 19, 2013, 08:46:11 AM
I'm confused - I bought my first BTC with Linden dollars via Virwox 1-2 years ago but at some point didn't they stop BTC trading?
Does it depend on where you live - I'm in UK? It's not available as an option for me on their site anymore.  Sad
208  Other / Beginners & Help / Newb speculation thread! on: April 19, 2013, 08:38:15 AM
So I've dumped my stash of 12 BTC into the market at $133.

In the long run I'm bullish that dollars could fall in value so that 1BTC = $1000 US, however I think the short term exchange issues will lead to a fall to $50s or even late $30s.

The rest of my stash is for gambling with an aim to get to 1000 - 2000 bitcoins. I see that as the magic number to really change your life once bitcoin reaches its full purchasing value.

I am also a newb to the forum but have been lurking over the past few years and bought my first coins at the heady height of $13!
Found bitcoins after the US 'black friday' for online poker and posted about it on twoplustwo.

Pleased to be here at last!
