1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Lets Kill this Paypal Reversible Scam! Look here! on: April 23, 2013, 10:38:41 PM
you sound like a cry baby. You are selling an item that they cant verify. Let the seller beware. Oh boohoo paypal wont insure my transactions. I insure my own transactions for digital items. If you know how to trade when the transaction isnt insured then you will have no problem.

All it boils down to is "let the seller beware"

I should have clarified I have been selling coins for the last 11 months I have been using paypal for 5 or 6 years

Oh well, not everyone are as smart as you smartypants. Atleast, I dont claim that way. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If you've been doing something with good success rate, well, thats good for you. And you dont have declare that in an open forum just to make a winner out of you. I never even mentioned about you in my post and I dont know what made you to initiate a personal attack.
If they cant verify a transaction, then they should never even allow sellers doing such transactions in the first place, right. They've allowed virtual goods to be bought, and that simply means there has to be equal protection for the buyer and the seller. Disputes have to be analyzed well before they even close it in buyer/seller's favor. Do they do that? NO, they dont. It boils down to seller beware just because of this.
Now, would you let all the 'cry babies' here know your ideas and tips about trading carefully using Paypal? NO, you wouldn't  Roll Eyes

The forum is all a bunch of retards when it comes to paypal I sell for paypal everyday and have for 11 months and have sold tons of coins on ebay too. It is VERY VERY easy to get fucked, but I have had a total of 2 charge backs both for small amounts. If you do it right you can sell for paypal without a bunch of bullshit. Everyone here hates on it and hates on it and this and that, but I like paypal it is my prefered payment method it is not 100 percent but the way I do it fucking works!

Look at the source when these hero members tell you paypal is the devil, they have a financial incentive to keep people with limited access to coins. There is a safety concern but just be diligent and learn the risks, then but a process in place that prevents them.

I've been doing business using Paypal for about 7 years now. I say that Paypal is not my preferred payment method not just because of the chargebacks and totally buyer friendly nature. But I've had terrible nightmares when contacting their customer care and talking with the representatives. I was/am selling SEO services on my websites. Even with the dispute team, trying to make them understand that I'm only selling virtual item and no actual shipping is possible, they just dont heed to the seller, whatsoever. In all these years, I've had few many chargebacks, not because of the service I was providing, but mostly because of the nature of payments made (hacked accounts, unauthorized transactions.. you name it, they have it). Every time you call them up to explain your situation, they simply turn you down with a robotic 'buyer is right' message. I've lost quite a chunk of money because of these chargebacks and buyer initiated disputes. If you still havent had any problem with Paypal, well, wait until you get one. I'm sure every dog has its day, especially with Paypal. They simply love fcuking those innocent small businesses. I'm not a kid to have used Paypal for a few weeks and then to start whining about them. My business account's history and transactions speaks for how much they've earned as fees, from the transactions I've done. I was/am waiting for that day when Paypal goes down. And I really hope that BTC is 'the one' to take 'em down.

OP - is that a US paypal?
yes i use US paypal, its linked to my Bank of America account (CA branch).

I'll get you BTC if you can send money by western union or Xoom. US paypal can be used in both the cases, I think.

5  Economy / Goods / Mobilephone Recharge Service - Over 90 Countries Included on: April 22, 2013, 06:05:49 PM
Hello mates,

I'm glad to offer my mobile phone recharge services here to the Bitcoin community. Currently, I can send recharges to phones in over 90 countries.

The image has flags of all the countries that I can send cellphone recharges to. I'm making a text list of the countries and I will soon post it here once I'm done with the list.

  • I'll accept BTC and LTC.
  • If your of choice is on the list, then please send me a PM including the country and mobile phone number that you want the recharge to be sent to.
  • I will reply you with the available option for amount for that mobile phone number (This is usually because the cellphone company sets a limit for online recharges in some countries). And I will also let you know my BTC wallet address. Once you send me the BTC and after 3 confirmations, I will send the recharge to the number of your choice.
  • The recipient usually gets the recharge immediately.

I understand that I'm new here to this forum. To offer more credibility, I'm willing to go first and do the recharge for 3 reputed members. They can pay me after confirming that the recharge has been received. Please post here in the thread if you wish to 'pay me later' after the service, and I will choose who I'll offer my 'I'll go first' promo.

Please send me a PM or ask here in the thread if you have questions. I'll be glad to reply each and every one of your enquiries.

9  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How long for MtGox to "validate" Dwolla account? on: April 20, 2013, 05:34:45 PM
I added OKpay and the verification status was cleared in about 3 days. Did some research while I was waiting and the verification wait time is indeed 72 hours, though no actual verification takes place.

Need trusted member here and who can ship the phone in INDIA !

PTseller

Do you still find it cheap importing, after adding the shipping charges and the customs duty? I hear that customs duty starts at 7% for cellphones and can get crazy high at time, depending on the officer in-charge? I remember reading something related to this in XDA developers HTC One forum. You might want to enquire about the costs fully before you import it. Just my 2c

1487 in Q now. Its been over 2 weeks since I submitted the documents. Site was up and down in the meantime. But I've been moving up the Q quickly in the past 2-3 days, I guess

Got an email just now:

We are pleased to inform you that the identification documentation you have submitted has been reviewed, and your account has been upgraded to "Verified" status.

Looks like they're clearing off the verification Q faster than ever before  Grin
13  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [IDEA] Credit card based speculative Bitcoin exchange on: April 20, 2013, 10:24:43 AM
Maybe something can be learned from http://www.playerauctions.com?

They are mostly known for allowing people to buy money in online games, but they also opened a bitcoin exchange. Bitcoins are able to be bought with a credit card, and Playerauctions guarantee the payment of sellers.

Trading video game items and currency is about as nonreversible as bitcoins are, and those markets seem to be doing fine.

This is exactly what i was wondering. Why people are so scared about reversing transactions when credit cards are used around the globe and no one is going to bankrupt because of that. Why only bitcoin sales would have to suffer?

It has more to do with the attractiveness as a target.  Sure I can use my credit card to buy WoW gold.  But WoW gold is only exchangable in game for in game items.  Therefore only WoW players are interested in WoW gold.  Thus less hackers and card scammers are attracted to it.

On the other hand, bitcoins are directly redeemable for cash in the real world.  Thus if you sell bitcoins via a reversable mechanism such as a credit card, you are selling cash the same as if you were selling Casino chips in Vegas.  This is why credit card processors want you to declare it as a cash advance transaction and charge you the much higher associated processing rates.

The reason for this is, it's not generally your users who will reverse the transaction on you.  It's folks who stole the card and are using it get cash advances from you.

+1 to this.

Not to derail this thread too much, but how are you guys funding your new Mt.Gox accounts?  I created an account (not verified), but I have yet to find a painless/easy way to fund it.

Okpay. Took money out of my card using Liqpay. Used an exchanger to get it to okpay. Beware though, okpay seems to find out somehow that you're exchanging money. They limited my account. I had send my docs there as well then. However, I'd prefer Card --> Liqpay --> Libertyreserve ---> MtGox (via Aurumxchange). Downside - you end up paying about 10% in fees.

I'm willing to setup a website accepting BTC if I can find a reliable dropshipper. Any input on this?

I have already done the same thing, except instead of drop shipping I have the products in my inventory. I am going to announce it once I am out of newbie jail.

Yep. Just noticed your thread mate. I'm sending you a PM. We gotta chat.
