Maybe a KNC Saturn if you can get it within 14 days for $3000 or less...

http://btcinvest.net/en/bitcoin-mining-profit-calculator.php?diff=390928787.63809&dcosts=2995&diff_mincrease=30&blpbtc=25&dhsmhs=270000&diff_mincreasedecrease=0.1&btcusd=238&dpowcon=380&btcusd_mincrease=3&pcost=0.15&calcweeks=40&dleadtime=1&action=calc#

It assumes things like a 3% jumpBTC value per difficulty increase and a one jump delay in getting the KNC Saturn box etc.

You can make any other adjustments you like -- but would you ever net more than $500? Not likely -- but perhaps.

This might be a more accurate view -- since it will jump today and I plugged in the "next" dicciculty as todays' starting value:

http://btcinvest.net/en/bitcoin-mining-profit-calculator.php?diff=510716514.17972924&dcosts=2995&diff_mincrease=30&blpbtc=25&dhsmhs=280000&diff_mincreasedecrease=0.1&btcusd=238&dpowcon=380&btcusd_mincrease=3&pcost=0.15&calcweeks=40&dleadtime=1&action=calc#

Assuming that BTC climbs at least 5.5% per Difficulty jump (on average) then you can get a positive ROI.

hth (hope that helps)

Thanks very much! I am looking into it now!

I am wondering if I was to buy an ASIC machine today what is the very best case on the market? I recently was refunded for three singles from BFL and now I have the itch to buy another ASIC, I am just wondering if it makes sense or if I should just wait until the next generation ASICs come out? It is definitely a scary thing either way because I could be thrown away two or $3000. I am also open for suggestions if the machines are even a little bit more money. Thank you for your input.

Openly bearish sentiment in the AM thread? Sounds like the time to buy
Put your money where your mouth is.

It's an awesome time to buy! Cheap shares of the best stock the bitcoin world has ever seen! There is not one stock that has ever risen as high as AM. It will rise again!
265  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: October 27, 2013, 09:46:49 PM
I am glad that a bunch of people will not understand what they are seeing and sell. It is just the beginning of a company that has begun the revolution of bitcoin. I for one am staying with AM and the proven over and over methods of what it takes to stay numeral
Uno in the bitcoin world. Without Friedcat and ASICminer we wouldn't have mining anywhere near what it is today. Keep on selling so I can keep on buying.

He is obviously gone with the wind. I am not far from his home base and I am going to try to get over to the address that is listed sometime soon. I will let everyone know what I see.

Quick Update

The original vague range of October 20s is now made accurate at October 27th, when the projected publication of financial reports. This time it will be more detailed and informative than the last time's.

Upcoming scheduled to be happening (in time order):

Imminent repricing according to the market and the quantity.
Immersion cooling exhibition.
Payment system out of pre-alpha.
Blockchain-based exchange out of pre-alpha (whether to migrate whole ASICMiner database is still a serious debating topic).

Friedcat,  I am an American who panic sold a bunch of shares  Angry when Bitfunder closed unexpectedly and I am afraid that I am going to be kicking myself in the ass for it,however I did keep some shares and I am going to take advantage of the shares while they're low..I hope like hell you can make it as awesome as it was in the beginning. My major concern though is lack of updates from you or the board, can we expect more now that you have a PR group? I hope so because I am buying back in..BIG time:) GO ASICMINER GO!!

For those of us castoffs from BTCT.CO who are new owners of direct shares, is there a guide anywhere for expectations of direct-share owners? Namely now to transfer or update our payment address if necessary? I don't see that in the first few posts of this thread, and didn't get that information as part of the transition.

Thanks!

Expectations:

- You will receive divs sent directly to your address. (roughly weekly.)
- If you have over 5k shares you may become a board member.

Transfers:

- You can initiate transfers from your BTC address by sending a PM to Friedcat requesting the transfer from your BTC address to another person's BTC address.  Include the quantity of shares and a contact email address for both parties.  Also, be prepared to sign your BTC address to prove ownership.  Typically if you're wanting to trade your shares on another exchange, that will mean transferring your shares to the exchange operators account, or the issuers account with ASICMINER, after which PT shares would be issued to you on the exchange.

I hope that helps.

Thanks for this update! I had 10 shares that I had no clue what to do.

I am very excited to see this! I am patiently waiting for the right choices to be made here! I am buying it all up before it hits 2.5 IMO. Thanks for the update. It comes at a time when its needed!
276  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Plans to reinstate BTC-TC: Don't panic! on: September 29, 2013, 04:22:21 PM
Good luck with all of this! I am unfortunately not one that is going to wait. I am not willing to watch my coins sit in limbo while people try to figure out a place to trade. I hope this does work out and maybe at a later date I will join and trade again, but until then I have to bow out.

I for one am excited about this announcement. This could be a very good payout for early investors. I want to see a new alternative way for currency to exist.
