Didn't he say no more dividends?

Stop with the fake news. There's a labcoin thread for that :-)

still won't roi

And will still outsell and get out of stock ;-) That's the way it works in Bitcoin Mining (or mostly for Asicminer)

Thanks much! So it seems with a easy enough solution (probably not cheap) for the power supply, you can just continue to use the mining software via the USB port. Nice feature.

@CroverNo01

Can you give more details on how this unit is powered? I've read in few places that it is supposed to be more "consumer friendly", but I still see the PSU connectors there. There's a USB port for something... would love to just power this without using a PSU, but not really seeing anything regarding that.

Hi, You can power these using Dell Server power supplies which is cheaper than using ATX modules. to be honest these still are not much improvement from blades, To run these at overclock you need more than 15A plus the 12V supply.

USB port is for connecting to PC for mining software rather than ethernet.

I wonder why the BitCanary guy isn't selling any.

http://bitcanary.com/

Checkout his GB threads. SSB (another reseller for US) is awaiting shipment for more cubes (also on his GB thread)

No divs or movement on the mining/div wallets. I am guessing they are skipping the divs this week? (instead of a tiny amount, better to skip and have a bigger div payment next week). Though it would be unusual for Asicminer to skip the div payment (would be first time ever)

A cube announcement (1BTC each) would probably offset the lack of divs

Divs are paid on Wednesday.

haha, that is correct. My bad, was a little bit impatient.

This is more like shovel covers to keep them warm in Winter and cool in Summer :-)

Friedcat has either totally lost it or is an utter genius.

edit: selling shovel handles to the people selling shovels.

That is how much wtcr.ca is selling it for, we have no idea what FC is charging them for all we know it could be a fixed rate of like 300 USD.

+1

Also, note that the blades went down in price (from the resellers here) to 0.80 BTC. It was noted by both SSB and Canary that they are selling without any markup at this point (maybe I misread this, but was in the USB sticks context?) Anyways, that give us 2.4 BTC for the 3 blades that are supposedly powering the CUBE. I'd imagine AM selling its "next gen" or even a newer device for considerably less given both BTC/USD rise and the ever-increasing difficulty. And top of that the various other ASIC devices in the marking currently and planned for dec/jan/feb.

I am hoping for a close to 1.5 BTC price ... Like everything else in the market, no point in figuring out the ROI, but there'll be 1000s of these sold anyways ;-)

Also, this is their first pricing. Like the USB sticks and blades, it will go down...so I believe they have room to change the prices in the future.
10  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Try A Million - Miners - Block Erupter Sales - UK & Worldwide With Shipping Inc! on: November 07, 2013, 12:49:31 AM
All I read in the above big blob was SCAM SCAM, FREE SHIPPING!!!

if anyone has some brains, realize that he is scamming you for old AM hardware that everyone selling is left with small quantity. Am has discontinued this hardware and is planning on selling next Gen soon. If you want to see some ROI then throw your coins in the drain instead of buying from "bliss". At least yo can put your hand in andgrt some out of the drain :-)
11  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: November 05, 2013, 11:21:13 PM
is AM selling hardware right now?  I thought they sold out.

I believe only what's left with the resellers here, which is very fast depleting quantity (going by Canary and SSB's recent posts)
12  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: November 05, 2013, 08:29:46 PM
back on topic

Whats the div prediction?

0.003

Obviously, the mining is going to be a small part from now on. I am hoping the HW sales (though price is down, folks are still ordering based on ebay and GB/reseller threads here) will add a good amount like last few times. End of November (if the Cube rumors are true) should start to see somewhat increased divs.
13  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: November 04, 2013, 11:30:36 PM
arrrgh... this is crazy (Bitfunder). Though I am a US citizen, the news is still sad.

I really hope AM is reading these news and is hurrying up deploying the blockchain based exchange. It was supposed to be out soon (post-Alpha phase?). We really need something like that, given that only Havelock remains and that is pretty fragile in itself. There is also the whole process of waiting 5-7 days or even more to transfer shares back and forth between the exchange and direct address. With a blockchain based exchange, this won't be needed and your shares are pretty much safe as your bitcoins on the blockchain.

Someone please send that Chinese girl for another round of exclusive interview with The Cat and get some leaks!

Does anyone have friedcats personal details? I would like to sue him.

Lol,  the crazies always come around

I've heard he is in china...shouldn't e too hard to find him now!
16  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: November 02, 2013, 10:28:37 PM
FC told us in August this stuff was coming Oct/Nov.

It is not his fault if you did not believe him.

I also don't recall ever hearing him promise daily progress reports so that day-traders could skim maximum profits from them. That's not really the business he is engaged in.

FC was obviously waiting to have units in hand for bulk delivery before announcing. The real problem is that one greedy reseller jumped the gun before FC was ready to announce.

I find FC and AM honest, trustworthy, and just plain amazing in what they can and do deliver. Don't bust on them because you could not make a bunch of money front-running them.

This. Exactly

Now go cry over the AM share prices going up....
17  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: November 02, 2013, 11:31:31 AM

But these aren't Asicminer :-) I want da CUBE!!!!
18  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: November 02, 2013, 07:10:19 AM
I thought AM do not do preorder

You think correct. Resellers != Asicminer
19  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: November 02, 2013, 06:18:40 AM
Let the crazy sales begin!! (part 2)

This is good pricing (for us shareholders, ofcource)

if mid Nov shipping is correct, then expect the share price to at least double after 2 weeks of that (when we see some good sale numbers/higher divs)

TO DA MOON!!!!
20  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: October 30, 2013, 09:01:57 PM
Nice divs. If anyone was expecting anything else, you are spending waaaay too much time on the labcoin threads :-) Start reading the crap that gets posted here too.
