1  Economy / Economics / Re: A decision to make on: May 18, 2022, 04:07:05 PM
Would you rather buy a house to live in or rent an apartment to invest in bitcoin  Since bitcoin is experiencing bear what decision will you take make use of the season or let it pass.

i will choose the 2nd option, rented an apartment and used the rest of my savings to buy bitcoins. buying a house is not an urgent need so I can postpone it. it's better to rent for a while, but can buy bitcoins at cheap prices. I skip the initial release of bitcoin, then I also skip the crypto winter 2018, so this time I'm not going to miss it.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luna CEO summoned by lawmakers on: May 18, 2022, 09:21:02 AM

Will this be more troubles for Kwon?

yes, this will be a big problem. he will be charged with fraud because of his stablecoin. I heard there is currently an attempt to confiscate the personal assets that he owns. This problem caught the attention of many people because there were many who suffered losses due to the collapse of Luna and UST. and I doubt he'll escape prosecution this time.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Epic 99% Terra Luna Crash... An Inside Job or A Product of Pure Stupidity? on: May 17, 2022, 09:26:49 AM
team stupidity, and poor ecosystem. terra is overly confident in their system, but when there's a problem they can't solve it. This is what makes the problem big and crashes come. what's worse they seem closed and do not want to receive help from others. there are already many experts willing to lend a helping hand such as CZ, vitalik, polygon founder and many more. but they don't want to accept it.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are decentralized stablecoins a failed experiment? on: May 17, 2022, 04:03:51 AM
For long, decentralized stablecoins have claimed to maintain their peg backed by either collaterized assets or algorithms. It's this point in time where a so-called decentralized stablecoin named "TerraUSD" lost its peg with no point for recovery within the short term. This is not the first time a decentralized stablecoin loses its peg, as a similar situation happened with NuBits (USNBT) some time ago. Even now, another decentralized stablecoin called "Neutrino USD" (USDN) lost it's 1:1 peg with the US Dollar.

With failed promises to maintain stability, does this means decentralized stablecoins are a failed experiment? If not, why? Do you think there's still room for improvement? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley

not completely fail. The problem with UST and other stablecoins losing peg is that they don't have a 1:1 reserve. if they had it in the first place the selloff issue resulting in the loss of the peg would never have happened. maybe with this problem the stablecoin ecosystem can be better.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Terra (LUNA) recover some time in the future? on: May 16, 2022, 05:09:45 PM

What do you think? Are there hopes for LUNA to recover some time in the future? If not, why? Is it a great idea to buy the dip now? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley

hope is always there, because in the crypto space nothing is impossible. but I'm trying to be realistic here. my conclusion is, as long as UST is still around, luna will never be able to recover. because the mechanism of UST and luna are interconnected, so luna will be forced to return the UST peg. and this method proved unsuccessful, therefore UST had to be removed from the market for whatever reason. then luna can recover slowly with a record of burning coins periodically. but this method also has a lot of risks starting from the demands of UST holders, issues of investor confidence, and many more.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you buying the dip? on: May 16, 2022, 02:18:51 PM

That said, I'm curious to know if you're buying the dip? If so, I'd like to know which cryptocurrencies do you think are worth the investment for the long term and why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley

no, I don't want to try. maybe you and most think this time has the dip. but for me it makes more sense to buy when the trend has really changed. it might sound like FOMO, but it's better than something like Luna crashing over and over again. bought during the dip, but the price did not stop falling.

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terra Ecosystem Revival Plan - Luna V2 WHAT DO YOU THINK? on: May 16, 2022, 05:03:15 AM
Finally Luna V2 News / Plan Reval
The Terra community must reconstitute the chain to preserve the community and the developer ecosystem.
It's not the point, I don't know why they are thinking creating a new version will resolve the problem?. As we can see from another project before, when the team tries to make a new version, the project comes to fall the same as version 1. This strategy will make the negative thinking for Investor. They will feel the developer and team were leaving the old project, this means all money has gone to the new project without residue and can't make Luna come back to ATH.
from the start this solution was like a desperate plan. and everyone knows that this won't work to recover UST/luna. actually there is a better plan that is buyback and burn. but instead of using this method, LFG continues to increase the luna supply. from this we know that they do not have the funds. even if luna-ust v2 is released, they don't have backed to keep peg ust, and most likely crash will happen again.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will LUNA be recovered ever? on: May 15, 2022, 01:00:19 PM
I have a doubt luna will never see the high price again because with too much loses future investors will think twice if they gamble on this project. It was delisted on binance and that alone the risk is high though it was listed back again yet it has the hard time recovering. Let's see what's gonna be the next plans and moves of the team to try to save this project.

Luna also has a huge supply this time and those who invested during the dip are just taking profit from every small recovery. I don't think LUNA would reach the same high peak again because lots of investors have lost their interest on it and they felt disappointed with what happened. However, it's still an opportunity for others to buy during the dip then they will sell it when the market recovers.

yes you are right there is no second chance for luna, it is very difficult to go back to how it used to be. and even if all the luna coins minted during the crash were burned, it would still not be able to restore investor confidence. there will always be worries currently holding luna/ust in the future, they will always think about the possibility of the same case happening again. so I think this project will die.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Involved in LUNA SCAM on: May 15, 2022, 03:53:08 AM
Binance and many other exchanges are SCAMEERS they are INVOLVED with LUNA SCAM
They didn't delist till it drop to ZERO even that they know LUNA devs was creating
more supply and dumping in their Platforms those platforms just trying to collect more
FEES and don't care about the investors
why should the exchange be responsible for the failure of the project. from the start they have only been a place to trade and the people who buy should know the risks when buying problematic coins. to blame is the development team itself. those who make this problem so big. no action has been taken since crash.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it possible UST recovered ? on: May 14, 2022, 03:04:43 PM
is it possible UST recovered ?

very difficult unless they release new coins. but this method also has some risks. so I guess the chance of recovering is very low, even if done by any means. releasing a new coin without a 1:1 backed will just repeat the same problem. trying to buy back UST in the market requires a lot of money, and there will be another dump because there are already many who buy cheap. I think it's over, there's no hope for this project.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Anyone Think Luna Will Recover? on: May 13, 2022, 05:52:26 AM
As Usual, The coin has the potential to recover, but at present things are extremely uncertain.

Because, Founder of Terra creator Terraform Labs, tweeted on Tuesday: “Close to announcing a recovery plan for $UST. And He Hangs tight On His Words.”

He added on Wednesday: “I understand the last 72 hours have been extremely tough on all of you – know that I am resolved to work with every one of you to weather this crisis, and we will build our way out of this.
do you still believe what he said?
Come on guys, enough of the bullshit he's said so far, no one will believe it. terra(luna) is dead, nothing can recover when it falls so deep. even worse, there are already many exchanges that have started delisting luna&ust. this indicates that there is no hope for this project anymore.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Its time to buy - end of bear market incoming on: May 12, 2022, 06:01:41 AM
After first bullish day i think its good day to invest now.

Which option is best? 2 coins, 4 coins, 5 coins or 8 coins in a bear market?

I chose number 1. the reason is that there aren't too many coins, so I can buy more. anyway ethereum and polygon are good projects so I don't need any other coins. just these 2 coins and if i could add i would put in bitcoins. with these 3 coins, I believe during a bull market I will get a big roi.
Quote
option 1: 2x 5.000€
Ethereum (ETH)
Polygon (MATIC)

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When is ever the right time. on: May 11, 2022, 04:04:53 PM
I planned to buy some altcoins now that we are in a bear market but someone I knew is telling me not to, that its possible more dumps will take place, my question is how will I know when it's the right time to buy coins?

when a trend reversal occurs. it is the right time to buy. and forget about the dip, you'll only lose if you try. I prefer to buy when the trend has really changed. it may look like FOMO, but this method is better than buying during a bear market because it takes a long time to wait for the price to go up.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ELI5: What happened to UST and why it happened? on: May 11, 2022, 09:36:06 AM
I guess many of you heard the news about UST going down all the way to ~ 0.60 and even Janet Yellen commented on it. So, can someone please explain it why it happened to UST? What is wrong (?) with it?

the beginning of the problem was because bitcoin crashed. UST is an algorithmic stablecoin backed by the terra(LUNA). when bitcoin crash, luna also followed and this also impacted UST. to keep it stable they use Luna to backed ust. but the scenario didn't go well, ust kept falling and luna couldn't hold it. as a result UST and luna fell very deep.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What a bear market actually looks like on: May 10, 2022, 03:03:27 PM
Bear market haven't even started yet, if you know how ugly a bear market gets you won't be buying altcoins right now, how many altcoins have died so far due to bear market? None right? Well let me tell you, a bear market is a death bringer for altcoins, all those meme coins and shitcoins that you are eyeing won't live to see the end of the bear market, its always so painful for altcoins to stay alive at such season.

You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet.

what do you mean it hasn't started yet?
bitcoin falls to $30k
ethereum to $2.3k
bnb to $310

the current price has fallen very deep, or is already -50% of ATH. and the trend is still bearish. so the bear market has started since last month. and there are already a lot of altcoins that have fallen more than 70%.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the next move on: May 10, 2022, 07:22:57 AM
Bitcoin respected its last strong resistance of 29,000$ now its recovered back to 31,000$ and it looks like its not done yet, pro traders out there where do you think this is heading? Is the free fall over or this level won't hold for long either?.

looking at last year's situation, bitcoin should have fallen to 28k before the pump. so there is still one more resistance point, and the bearish trend is still very strong. most likely there will be a repeat like last year. and if this resistance point is broken, the market situation may be worse than last year.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoins did you have (All time in your protofilo) on: May 09, 2022, 08:48:11 AM
The altcoins that are always on my portfolio list are ethereum and bnb. these two altcoins are never missed, I always buy when the price is falling and always hold for a long time. although sometimes I sell it for profit. but when I bought, ethereum and bnb were first on my buying list.
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2018 vs 2022 on: May 08, 2022, 02:29:17 PM
if you look at it, it's like 2018 but I think it's more accurate like last year's chart. last year in the same month the price fell to 30,000 due to news about the ban on mining in china. and right now the crypto market is crashing because of the FED and war news. crashes occur because of bad news, and after the impact of the news wears off, prices start to rise again. I think this year will also be the same, if the impact of all the negative news subsides the price will rise again.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: What would happen if Tesla decided to sell its Bitcoin? on: May 08, 2022, 11:58:08 AM

What would happen if Elon Musk decided to sell his Bitcoin? What will be its economic impact on the price of Bitcoin?

the market crashes and dumps for a long time. without Elon selling all his bitcoins the market is already in a bad state. and if he decided to sell it, things would get worse. it is possible that bitcoin will fall below 30k, and that will render the altcoin worthless. there will be a lot of terrible things happen if they come true.
