1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] truly decentralized exchange | token ecosystem infrastructure on: January 22, 2018, 10:41:45 PM
Could someone please confirm the benefits of holding BLOCK? Once the Block Dex is launched, by either owning a masternode (1k coins, correct?) or by staking whatever Block you own, you get a cut of the fees. Is that correct? Thanks.

Yes, you get a cut of fees when you hold block.    One block is generated every min and node (needs 5000 block) get 70% while staking gets 30%.      Both have great ROI.   Staking currently is around 11-13% while node gets around 17-18%.

Great, thanks. And is that percentage per annum, or a different timeframe?

That always depends on the # of nodes (the more nodes there is, the less people staking), and the # of coins being staked.    If you are a staker and the # of people staking is down, then staking ROI will go up and vice versa.   That % that I mentioned above is annual %.   Don't forget the fees though.   That's the wildcard here, the amount could become huge over time if the DEX takes off.  You should really join the Rocketchat to get even more details.    It's a great community with a lot of knowledgeable people without moon talk like every communities out there.

In your FAQ, you mentioned a tier 1 static node cost 500k XBY and some fees.   How much is the fees?

It will be +100k XBY for last (512th) registered L1 node.

+100K XBY fees?   You mean these 100k fees is literally gone if I want to run a tier 1 static node?   That's quite a bit....    Who gets the 100k fees?

As I understood, It will go to current 1 static node holders which bought them after been told that there will be no more nodes. 100k will be some kind of compensation to keep things fair and to honor commitment (at least at some degree) for people wich took big risk at very early phase of this project...

How much fees did the existing node owners paid for their nodes?

I'm bullish on any serious project working on decentralization of our ability to trade cryptocurrency. BLOCK is no exception so I just just dropped a few cents in this bucket.

Good choice.  The exchange with the great UI will be here really soon.

Hello! Tell me, where is this decentralized exchange? https://twitter.com/decentristan/status/948666946748338176/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fcoinmarketcap.com%2Fcurrencies%2Fblocknet%2F
I only see wallets. Can not understand anything

I think the key word in that twitter post is "upcoming."  That was a preview pic of the User Interface.  The beta version of the User Interface is scheduled for release this month last I heard.

Think a newsletter with the details will be coming out in 9-11 days.

BridgeCoin has now passed Blocknet in market cap. Is anyone else also concerned about the future of Blocknet with a project like BridgeCoin out there?

What I don't understand is... Cryptobridge is telling me to send my BTC to some address...

Blocknet won't ask you to send your coins anywhere.   It will allow you to trade out of your own bitcoin wallet.   That's the whole point of decentralization.

Nice and subtle way for you to try to shill your coin though.

I've heard they are introducing decentralize exchange by the end of Jan 2018, anyone have more specific information please let me know...
If that becomes true, price of BLOCK would be double at least, right??

The beta UI is supposedly coming mid to end of Jan, 2018.  That's correct.  Nobody can predict price of Blocknet... BUT... the marketcap of Blocknet now is under 200 mil... You do the math. Smiley

Everyone, please vote for Blocknet!

A good project cannot be flying under the radar for this long. Wink  It's going to be discovered.  This is just a preview of what fomo for block will be like when the UI is released in Jan.

This project is getting powned by komodo and ark.

Come on get a move on this should have been out months ago.

Also you need to get this on up and coming exchanges binanace et all

We're just hit a high of $38, need some dips so I can accumulate more Cheesy I'm fairly confident we'll hit $100+ in the next months.

It is worth $1000 or greater if they get their asses moving.

BTW keep discussions of blocknet going here it is free advertising for the project in a good way

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2479595.200

discuss compare etc - check back reply

keep that thread on page 1

interoperability is a very nesecary thing in crypto, but I think it may be one where there can only be 1 winner. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Komodo marketing team is garbage. Ark seems to be the most competent of all. I still have a soft spot for blocknet since I looked at it very early on when I started to get into crypto

in order of investment opportunity

block
komodo
ark

in order of design

block/komodo
ark

all are worth a look but block has the biggest upside

block are crap with their community here. jl777 is on his thread constantly - looks good

As a speculator from here block looks very good also if it functions half as nicely as it looks then the fomo combined with the fuck all left for sale will be quite exciting to watch.

I believe there is some room for all 3

Block community might look crap here, but it's AWESOME on rocketchat/slack and even telegram to some degree.   Hang out there with us!
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW XBY ANN] XTRABYTES - BECAUSE THE BLOCKCHAIN CAN BE BETTER on: December 13, 2017, 12:10:22 AM
Don't worry guys, make a pool with some friends, become a static node and gain passive profit!

I don't believe anyone can just "become" a static node. I know I tried back earlier in the year.. static nodes closed after a certain block some time ago. I have the coins to start one but I'm not going to pay anyone to start a node like was being discussed months back. In any case, good tech here.

What?  I can't start even with 500k coins??!?
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] truly decentralized exchange | token ecosystem infrastructure on: December 12, 2017, 10:52:25 PM
Are we saying the new UI and lite version is possibly out this month?

Also It is very strange that only 25k -35k is even left for sale? that is 5 to 7 masternodes?

Is this right I mean people are holding on to this tight. The order books on the sale side are  tiny.

It would be nicer to get more frequent updates  but then again if it really comes out fully functional looking as good as those pics and with the light version too it will be a nice big shock to crypto.

Supposedly, we should see "something".   The team is working hard on it supposedly and usually with Blocknet, a long quiet time means something big is happening.    People are running nodes and staking like crazy because the community are such hodlers.

Can I run Static Node yet?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] truly decentralized exchange | token ecosystem infrastructure on: December 06, 2017, 09:07:29 AM
Hello, is there any guide to install the wallet on Linux? I can't seem to find one on the website and I'm having a rough time trying to install the wallet. Any help would be appreciated.

What type of trouble are you having?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW XBY ANN] XTRABYTES - BECAUSE THE BLOCKCHAIN CAN BE BETTER on: December 05, 2017, 05:01:45 AM
When you run a static node, who pays the fees for the transaction and how is it distributed to the nodes?
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Blocknet - Polo, Kraken, Bitfinex killer on: November 28, 2017, 06:05:57 AM
BlockNet is a pretty cool project, but I'd like to see where it goes. I think there's a market for it but to say its going to kill other Exchanges seems a bit overestimated. I think China and USA could really use a DEX though, Waves DEX is coming a long but its far from use able for daytrading.

But yeah, pricewise and marketcap it has a long way to go, could become a top5 project (gtfo BTG)

Blocknet basically don't need to kill off other exchanges.  There's no need for that.  All Blocknet need is to be able to access the order book and open up their order book to these exchanges.   For example, EthFinex will be opening their order book to blocknet.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] truly decentralized exchange | token ecosystem infrastructure on: November 28, 2017, 06:04:25 AM
When I want to use the Blocknet decentralized exchange do I have to download all blockchains from the coins I seek to exchange?

Not when the UI is released with the lite wallet.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Blocknet - Polo, Kraken, Bitfinex killer on: November 27, 2017, 10:17:48 PM
At no point in using the exchange will coins ever leave your control.  someone in slack suggested that blocknet may be the go-to exchange for institutional investors (for obvious reasons), and i agree with that just from a risk point of view.   Also, blocknet has negotated a deal with ethfinex/bitfinex to gain access to their order book, so will spring into life with great liquidity.  right now one can trade on blocknet, but it will become user friendly for mass adoption with release of the UI and multiwallet (hence not requiring full chain downloads).   these are both scheduled for the very near future, we are talking weeks....

For now, Blocknet is still very under the radar.  Once the marketing starts, look out.
