I'm trialing Westhash for a little while, I'll be back soon. Probably on Friday.

Well said MrGreenHat.  I couldn't have put it as eloquently.

Why does math make you so mad?

Because you're a dumbass.
724  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: The mining rat race on: November 28, 2014, 12:52:37 PM
Only people who made money in the Gold rush were the shovel manufacturers.

Only people who make money in the Bitcoin mining game are the ASIC manufacturers.

History repeats, greed is timeless.
725  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Key BITCOIN not detected on Rapberry PI on: November 27, 2014, 04:03:55 PM
Wasting your time.  If it did work, then you'd never mine anything meaningful in a year, if you could mine anything at all.

You can't run USB miners straight off the USB ports, the Pi doesn't have enough power.  You have to use a powered USB hub.

ID 10 T error...
727  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Does guiminer and bitcoin core automatically sync ? on: November 26, 2014, 03:55:13 PM
What?  Guiminer is a mining program.  Bitcoin Core is a Bitcoin wallet.  There's no sync going on, nor will there ever be.  It's like saying your Microsoft Word doesn't sync with your Angry Birds.

You are connecting Guiminer to a pool, aren't you?  The pool will pay out to your Bitcoin wallet.

The only time you'll get Bitcoin going straight to your wallet is if you're solo mining, which I don't think even works on guiminer.   You really have to give us more info on how you have things set up.
728  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: ANTMINER S3+ PSU CUT OFF on: November 26, 2014, 03:51:23 PM

Uhh...get a bigger PSU would be the obvious solution.  Huh
729  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: OpenCL CPU on: November 26, 2014, 08:30:37 AM
Can i mine with opencl cpu?

Can you search?  Can you see the thousands of other clueless noobs asking the same question every week?

You're 3 years too late to even consider mining with a CPU.

Was there some sort of blip?  I see my miner failed over to the godsquad pool for a few minutes, and came back to CKPool, but is showing 0GH.  As are a load of other people.
731  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: I cant do Mining on: November 19, 2014, 09:23:19 AM
Can't do internet it seems.

Fiver says they're wondering why they can't CPU mine with their Celeron laptop...

Only 4000:1 for my little S3 then.  Roll Eyes

To be fair, no-one should be using IE8 any more.  Period.
735  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Does full node software auto mine? on: November 09, 2014, 09:46:27 AM
I used to run a full node, but the machine it was running on died, so now I don't.  Must virtualise it and stick it in Hyper-V.
736  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: November 09, 2014, 09:43:54 AM
Seeing Neil is AWOL, and there's been no new versions for a while, I'm turning off my donation.  Not that 15 minutes a day at 40GH was donating anything anyway.

Nice, lots of blocks today.   Grin
738  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Problems with Raspberry Pi and Antminer U2 on: November 07, 2014, 07:36:27 PM
USB ports on the Pi only really support 140mA each, just about enough to run a keyboard and mouse.  The fact you got any miner working at all is a total freak of science.  You've probably burnt out the USB ports.

740  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: P2pool Mining Windows (Bitcoin Namecoin Ixcoin Iocoin Devcoin) Full Speed? Win 7 on: November 04, 2014, 02:10:32 PM
Only merged mining coin worth using was NMC, but it's dead now, so I wouldn't bother fussing about adding any merged coins.
