2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto - Can We Find Him ? on: June 13, 2019, 10:37:01 AM
I strongly believe he was Hal Finney, but Hal Finney is now dead so there is no way to find out.
Apparently the NSA know who is is due to their extensive database on how individuals write.

112 bit is the current record for the ECDLP (Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm Problem = retrieve the private key from the public key)

I understood correctly: if you have 200 playstation3 and 6 months, then you can find a private key to any Bitcoin address that had outgoing transactions?

Um no it doesnt work like that

I would pay well for a pristine copy..

I may be able to get access to a physical copy, but how much should it be sold for?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin. Secure, private, untraceable since 2012 on: July 03, 2017, 10:18:35 PM
Just wanna announce that yesterday BFB program got 2500 BCN as a donation.

Thanx for support

Also, i'd like to clarify one thing. A lot of requests were sent to me about problems with the wallet, namely that their money didn't arrive.

This problem was described in backlog under #1 . The wallet can not sync with the blockchain

I've seen a lot of questions about it on bytecointalk

for example https://bytecointalk.org/showthread.php?tid=715

And I want to remind you one more time, I'm searching for developers who will fix this and others problem. I promise a very good reward.

Write me to get more info

P.S. Searching for a guy who will help me with all incoming bug verification. Reward!

As I have said time and time again.

Your bounty program is doomed for failure.

The Bytecoin devs do not give a crap about other people who want to help.

They do not check pull requests (bug fixes) on GitHub, so if I, or any other dev, found issues. They would not accept it.

Secondly, they still have not said what the main repository for their code is.

Third, Provided you keep your wallet synced, given it can take some days. There shouldn't be an issue. Mine works fine.

if you can get me a link to the current code base, show me the bugs, I will happily fix it.

Hey,

Yesterday I've published the post about huge donation and appealed everyone to search the bugs.
I disappointed about getting no feedback. Huh

It seems like everybody happy with the situation that BCN was blocked on Poloniex, that the price is falling and falling...etc.

We’ve got enough money to pay enthusiasts for searched out bugs. 16 000 BCN for each bug!
Hope to see activity from your side!

P.S. Does anybody here read bytecointalk?

People do read, but then again there isn't much activity for bytecoin.

The developers dont accept pull requests.

Ive emailed them about which code base to use, but they still didnt respond.

They dont respond to issues on github either.

If no one works with bugs then just donate the coins to charity once it has some value, or refund them

I keep hearing peoples coins going bust because certain exchanges drop the coin, or dont do the orders.

For your sake, keep your coins in a private wallet. Never store them online or on an exchange without the private key.

In light of the recent Bytecoin success I believe BCN will rise higher than other crypto and get to the top 5 on the market cap rating. Such a sudden rise could cause a lot of problems for the BCN team. So that’s why I’ve decided to build a support project for all BCN developers.

Why would reaching top 5 in market cap cause any trouble for the BCN team?

Because 82% of the coins are already owned by someone and were pre-mined...
Because of that the coin will never get top 20..

In light of the recent Bytecoin success I believe BCN will rise higher than other crypto and get to the top 5 on the market cap rating. Such a sudden rise could cause a lot of problems for the BCN team. So that’s why I’ve decided to build a support project for all BCN developers.

I would like to suggest that the whole BCN community start a BUG FIX BOUNTY PROGRAM to help the Bytecoin team hold out and improve their source code.

I’ve made a wallet specially for donation to this project!
Here's the wallet link to donate to improve Bytecoin source code: 223DCDuuxLGLdxxMghabRMSmkwuAzRtTvcAupsnGCrA4bDeoPxwoeirKA32X5SrJuDPBgXTsSmQRoAb CzcDvM2d2PdtwpxB

I’ve already made a transaction to the wallet today (as you can see it’s $300)  and i’m going to do it again as soon as I can.
I know you might think this sounds scammy, but the truth is that I really do care about the BCN community and the team and I want to raise crowdfunded support for them.
Everyday I will make a report about the money raised and the people who have joined the BFB program. If you need any other details, feel free to direct message me.

Current balance: 06/8/2017 13:15 EDT 85000 BCN; Payouts: 0

I would believe the same if the first 82% of the entire market cap wasn't already distributed.

I would help with the bugs. I've found the source.

Someone just needs to walk through the code base with me and get me up to speed.

Whats the problem?

looks like something wrong with BCN , a lot of pending block at minergate

Not a problem with BCN, Minergate itself is really bad. Change to a different pool.
