41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a Roller Coaster. Deal with it. It is about to get REAL! on: December 03, 2017, 12:35:59 PM
The thing is the swings in USD simply get bigger as the value of 1 bitcoin increases.

Before a 10% swing was between 50-100 USD when the price was sub 1000 usd. Now, with prices being above 10k, a 10% swing is 1000 usd.

The % swings didn't necessarily increase, but the fiat value makes it feel a lot bigger.

This is a major issue right about now. I bought my first coins circa $200'. Then, a 20/30% swing downwards did not bother me as mush as 5% these days. The usd  value is bigger now in terms of %% than many can handle and I've been holding for three years now. I am almost immune to the upward and downward price movements. And  I don't bother checking the price any more. I spend what I need to when the need arises, the rest I plan to hodl until further notice.
42  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: sportsbet.io is a scammers? on: December 03, 2017, 10:15:00 AM
I am not sure about them being scammers but they hate paying withdrawals and in a lot of cases will draw it out by requesting personal documents for as long as possible. This is sad, because they promised that you can bet anonymously, bet when its time for withdrawals, this policy no longer applies.

I was confident that the OP would get his money after posting here, but this shouldn't be the case. I also use conbet24 and have never ever had withdrawal issues.
43  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: depositing USD on: December 03, 2017, 06:11:00 AM
As far as paypal deposit is meaning, virvow can work for you, I do not recommend it because when I used it, it cost me a lot of money, and the interface is a bit complicated. VirVow is the only solution for you because there is no alternative.

You mean VirWox?  Wink - You are right abut their fees, It has to be one of the highest, if not the highest out there. I have to be very desperate to use it.

Coinbase is fair, but only if you live in the US, and after very strigent checks. You should also be ready to wait a few days before receiving the coins ( first transaction).
44  Other / Off-topic / Re: Make 500$ a month with airdrops ? on: December 03, 2017, 05:00:43 AM
It will be really nice if someone compiles a list of good airdrops, both past and present. A lot af the coins don't do well, but since they are free, you only lose time and the few good ones surely makes up for that. If I am going to spend time on this forum I might as well participate, any one know of any alert services?
45  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for people to translate the ANN and the WP English -> Chinese. on: December 02, 2017, 09:52:30 PM
Sorry mate this wrong place you cannot trade her on token only Bitcoin and ETH is valid.
Because this is only place for bitcoin payments.

But don't worry i will suggest you to go announcement bounty and put there you will get a person for this. Might admins removed your posts from here.

I am not so sure Ethereum is allowed in this section as it is an altcoin too, but the moderators seem to turn a blind eye these days.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CoinGecko.com - 360 Degree Cryptocurrency Valuation and Ranking on: December 02, 2017, 09:24:58 PM
Very interesting website you have @bobster. I browsed through it but still couldn't figure out how to list an ICO, I pmed you details and would appreciate hearing back from you. Keep up the good work.
47  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone order an S9 from Alibaba? on: December 02, 2017, 08:30:37 PM
Be very careful on Alibaba, great website and all, but there are also tons of scammers on there, second only to bitcoitalk. you must use common sense just like every other online market place. Check if the seller is a gold supplier, It is a paid membership and sellers are verified before they can obtain it. The longer the seller has been on the platform also help, for instance Gold supplier 5th Year, is safer than a 3rd year merchant.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin just a brand? on: December 02, 2017, 06:58:20 PM
Litecoin is faster, monero is more private, ETH has smart contracts and there are much more altcoin with much more features, even Bitcoin Cash is faster than Bitcoin, but BTC keeps rising much faster.
Don't you think it's just because of the name?

You can say it again, its probably one of the best and rising brands of recent times, and it will be like this for many years to come. Technically, it isnt the best coin, but its price is the highest, so makes it the best.

Look at it this way; old houses in prime areas are always priced higher than very modern houses downtown. The old house may not be the best, would require plenty of money to renovate it, but is still priced higher.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2019 - the end of 90% altcoin? on: December 02, 2017, 05:10:44 PM
I think by 2020, about 99 percent of altcoin is going to die, because their value is just speculation, but nothing.
BTC will probably become an altcoin in a few years, since its main value right now is speculation, to be honest.

Bitcoin will never be an Alt, it may lose value and other coins may overtake its price, but it will always be a trailblazer and record setter. Without bitcoin in its current form, there will be no cryptocurrency market, and we won't be year trying to speculate.

That said, a lot of ICO's, I predict over 90% will fail. I fear for investors, those who spread their risk will be fine, some will be lucky, a lot will lose.
50  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: BITCOIN IN AFRICA on: December 01, 2017, 04:35:22 AM
African countries have embraced bitcoin. There is no regulation, and a lot of businesses have adopted it as a faster and cheaper means of sending funds abroad. There is no regulation at all as most African governments are yet to come to grips with it.
51  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Guys, stop using stop orders on: November 30, 2017, 04:20:11 PM
While I see the OP's point, i believe it is too much of a generalization not applicable to all cases. Stop order is a very important feature and trading and has saved me a couple of times already. The thing is you really need to learn how to use and know when and at what price to place stop orders. Generally if you are a newbie doing guesswork with trading, stay away from stop orders.

This. Its there for a purpose, and many traders can attest to its effectiveness. I will never leave a position open without setting a stop order, especially when I cannot monitor price movements.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tezos discussion on: November 30, 2017, 01:01:04 PM
But it will depend on the investors choice what way to want to choose if this could happen. I don't think anybody would like to take refund because devs are making awesome progress and working on this blockchain.
I understand your point, but a court order changes everything and would definitely affect the price. If its in favor, it will do wonders for the price and it will increase exponentially. Against, and the price will drop. It is fair to assume that most investors would claim their refund trying to minimize any loss.

i think many people will accept the defund of bitcoin as bitcoin almost more than 3x profits now, but i think this will not happen as the fund has used lots of money

You are right. But I don't see this happening.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tezos discussion on: November 30, 2017, 09:38:58 AM
Tezos will explode in 2018, 2018 will be a awesome year for all the new blockchains, tezos, aeternity, EOS. OH god, I love that i own all 3 Smart contracts blockchains.

How do you know Tezos will explode in 2018? I think Tezos faces legal issues so they have to refund the investors, Tezos may be a fiasco, don't expect too much, or you will be down.

They still working on the product, i see videos of the developers doing some work, so whatever they are facing as long as they develop the product it will succeed.

Despite the fact that the project is ongoing, these class act suits can cripple the whole and bring it crashing down, most especially if they are asked to refund investors. Imagine the panic then, people will be queuing up to withdraw their investment, and the price will tank. I hope this never happens as I am invested in Tezos, but right now anything is possible.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bgold or Bcash? on: November 30, 2017, 06:34:35 AM
Gold seems to be irrelevant at the moment and created solely for profits, nothing wrong with that, as perceptions could change soon as soon as the price improves. The community is fickle, and most will back whatever makes them profits. Its only a matter of time for bitcoingold price to shoot up, then most will take notice as was the case with bitcoincash.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Diamond?? on: November 29, 2017, 06:08:07 PM
I wonder, why bitcoin create a such many coin ling bitcoin gold, bitcoin cash, and now what we see is bitcoin diamond? i don't get it, so why people support this coin too?

Its not my cup of tea, but ask yourself, If you could, would you? Nothing beats human greed. As long as these forks remain profitable, expect this trend to continue.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too late to buy Monero? on: November 29, 2017, 03:29:59 PM
You are mistaken, the price is not high. Monero has very high ceiling due to unique characteristics that other coins don't have, especially when it comes to privacy and hiding transactions. The current Bitcoin price surge is also shining attention on the bigger altcoins, as investors are looking for the next big thing to invest in.
57  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Sportsbet.io SCAM BEWARE on: November 29, 2017, 05:07:13 AM
sportsbet.io does not play fair by all accounts. I doubt if you will ever get your winnings. But one thing is for sure, had you lost 8the bet, they would have kept your deposit after confirmations. Good website to play on, nice UI and all that, but their underhand practices leaves a lot to be desired.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cash , Worth to invest in ? on: November 28, 2017, 04:23:55 PM
there is no way that Bitcoin Cash will go anywhere.. honestly I don't see what people are seeing in these forked Bitcoin versions, the only way any of them has any substantial chances of survival is if Bitcoin will fail. What are the chances for Bitcoin to fail? They don't offer anything different than Bitcoin so there is no other reason to buy Bitcoin Cash unless you want to replace Bitcoin. They are only a good investment if you want to hedge yourself for a potential Bitcoin fail, which most likely will not happen. Bitcoin has survived much worse and that's the reason it is still number one. Do yourself a favor and invest in something that offers more perspectives and more value than simply some forked and copied version of original chains.

There are no certainties but recent events show that it could prove valuable. Its all speculation off course. How do you know if bitcoin wouldn't fail or not? Slow confirmations, increasing fees may cripple it. Don't forget also that there is only a set number of Bitcoins, people will look to alternatives if they cannot get their hands on "cheap" bitcoins. And so far BCH is proving to be more valuable than other altcoins, riding on he bitcoin name alone.
59  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex disabled account on: November 28, 2017, 08:34:43 AM
The way things are going with Bittrex is scary, I was lucky enough to withdraw my assets before these issues escalated. The thing is that their support seems to be overwhelmed and I'd suggest you wait a bit. I know a couple of peeps that had similar issues resolved within the last month. Nontheless I know someone who is still waiting going two months now.
60  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: HereforTrades is a scammer on: November 28, 2017, 06:22:29 AM
Sales trashing, you should be negged for that. His refusal to show you an address with the said amount is his right. You cannot force someone to do that, this does not amount to a scam. If you are disappointed by his behavior, simply take your business elsewhere, instead of wasting your time and that of others here.

Surely, you must have something better to do?
