Infiniti poker tried, but it also lacks traffic. (don't think they had HUDs available though)

Anyways, a great looking and fast UI is a must. + traffic + HUD

Half a year back, I made a movement to let stars know that they should accept BTC. They said that they are even trying it out at the moment (That was way back in september 2013) but since then no move has been made. I guess they don't think it will be viable, or that they would become a BTC exchange that way essentially.

Hope they just introduce BTC and some BTC tables, would be awesome for the economy of cryptos.

Yes, Stars is the only one (maybe FullTilt and 888 have what it takes), the rest is just a joke. Altough, Stars is weird as far as the "dealer" is concerned. Something fishy is going on there.

Now if there was a NXT poker on this level Smiley

Thanks. If you think I'm the lowest common denominator intellectually, then well, I hope you're financially diversified.

Haha, good post Smiley

It is true that we need to make a failsafe client for really computer-retarded persons. But a client like Offspring is close to that. Can't make much wrong with it!

New users are going to go to http://www.nxtcrypto.org/ and download the default NRS server -- Most won't even know "Offspring" exists.

The build-in client (that was supposed to be temporary) that comes with NRS server needs to be replaced. This will solve most password related user errors.

Totally agree. When introducing friends or fellow pokerplayers to NXT I always send them to nxtclient.org and stell them to now install the main client, because it is too much hassle to set it up. But I am sure we will figure out a solution to that soon.

After 5 years there still isn't a good poker room for coiners. Seals with clubs doesn't cut it. If there was a room on the level of a proven regular poker room, UI wise (Pokerstars, iPoker, or at least 888-Pacific Poker) then I would definitely play there.

Seals is okayish. One of the downsides is the lack of traffic. Other than that, they try hard to ímprove, but they don't have a lot of funding!

Since FPDB added SWC, playing with a HUD is much more preferrable.

Hence the name, Offspring.

@solarion - When you made an account first with your 6 words phrase, you should have written or copied the account number.

When you then sent from Cryptsy you should have checked that you're sending to THIS account, but you didn't.

Instead you were a bit reckless.
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: April 05, 2014, 04:09:20 PM
The fact that there is no warning about the null account is a mistake.

But the biggest mistake here that you didn't check where you're sending the nxt! Your own fault.

Did check. The account # cryptsy sent the coins to is the same account # on my screen.

This months old software is still garbage.

Just go to bed, wake-up and rethink.

628  Other / Meta / What's wrong with BitcoinTalk? Can't load it for a week. on: April 05, 2014, 02:02:31 PM
I have to use a Vtunnel proxy to get here.

Otherwise it just won't load and I hear one guy has the same issue (possibly more people)

Not easier but more trustable. At least for me, I'd rather run an .exe than a .bat.

Actually I would trust a .bat any day over an .exe (at least a .bat is *text* so I can *read it*).

Well that's true. I'm just a user here.
630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: April 01, 2014, 09:30:07 AM
Instead of having run.bat in the official release, why not include an exe?

Why would it be any "better" to have an .exe vs. a .bat file?

Somehow .bat always looks fishy to me. Just accustomed like this, not saying it's any different in terms of security.

Still censored by Youtube and centralized networks:

This video is not available in your country.

Sorry about that.

^ LOL ^

This is what I see at Youtube at that link:

This video is not available in your country.

^ What?! Am I in America or Turkey?

Sincerely,
Brian Snyder

This works apparently.

I attached the link in my previous post. Try it again.

If still censored after this - i don't know then, America is the new 3rd world.

I'm getting reminded over and over again:

The big fat initial stakeholders will be fucking with the mid-level and small holders for a long long time.

It's like we're pissing into the wind blowing into our direction. Yes you'll be yellow but you still won't understand chinese.

salsacz - you might just change the font to something more pro/corporate (beginning and end font)

Also, the fonts (subtitles) could be a lot more movie like - right now it's a not so good aproximation

http://youtu.be/8XmTRg57x80

This is what I had in mind for the subs

http://s17.postimg.org/bru6diz73/subsexample.png

I'm also imagining something else for the intro and outro - but I can't tell you exactly what. Just something that will be clean/pro looking and will also be on Prints, other advertising nxt material.

there are some chinese hieroglyphs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvwC7uoumdw

LOL. Cool, catch is only when the chinese will watch this they will have fake on top of real (for them)

This one is also "movie-ish":

New Coins
While some of the Bitcoin 2.0 startups are using the existing Bitcoin network, many are creating alternate versions that work in the same way to provide verification. The most well-known projects are Mastercoin, Ethereum, Colored Coins, Counterparty, Ripple and BitShares.
